Hello everyone, let's say this is my first official fanfiction so you may find many errors in it, your feedback is crucial. And please note that English is not my native language.
Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters, they belong to Gosho Aoyama.
Prologue:
She walked down the dark alley, she can almost hear her heartbeats, her forehead is damp like a street in a stormy night. She was running from something, something dark yet she couldn't remember what it was. She felt lost, lost, and heavy. Everything around her started to crumble like a ball of cotton. The danger is getting closer, she could feel it in her bones. A shadow approached her and placed its hand on her shoulder, she wanted to see its face but It didn't possess one, just a pile of fog. She wanted to scream but her voice was muted, Completely submerged in darkness. That darkness though felt familiarly cold. She broke down in fear, leaned against the ground, declared her surrender to whatever was following her, allowing it to swallow her into its folds of darkness.
"Haibara" she heard something yelling. "She's moving" that voice disturbed her again.
"call the doctor" another voice answered.
A white light tingled her eyes, she tried to open them heavily, a sharp pain attacked her head, there were many voices and chaos around her, she could feel the fury that surrounds her. Opened her eyes, tried to look around, her sight was pretty foggy yet she noticed a lavender rose bouquet on the night stand, she couldn't tell where she was, nor what was happening in this ridiculously bright room.
"Haibara" goes that voice again "you have worried us sick," said with a worried tone.
"Ai-Kun" goes the other voice " How are you feeling?"
she fixed her posture and sat down on the bed, she felt her broken leg which hurts insanely, glancing at the two people who are standing on front of her concerned, she looked at them confused, one of them is a little boy who has pitch-black hair and wearing glasses on his eyes, and another one is an older man who is half bald, wearing a grey jacket. " Who are you?" she whispered painfully while placing her hand on the head. "do I know you?" continued with the same suffering voice.
Both of them looked startled, could it be? "Haibara" the boy yelled," it's me Edogawa Conan don't you remember? we're classmates" as he pushed the older man "and this is Agasa-Hakase" he stopped for a while and then continued " you live with him". "My head hurts" she cried out painfully "please leave me alone" buried her head between her arms. The doctor came in "let her rest for now" said while preparing the medications with some nurses who were calming the girl down, added a drip of morphine to ease her pain, she lied down powerless while both people stared at her with their eyes filled with shock.
She doesn't remember anything!

Subaru Okiya rushed down the corridor, 'this is the room' he thought, he entered it without any hesitation, to find Conan-Kun and Agasa-Hakase sitting miserably on the chairs. Gazing into the sleeping girl on the bed. "sorry for being late" said with a smiling yet worried face "I thought she woke up" getting closer to the bed "what happened?".
"She woke up for a while before falling asleep again" answered Agasa-Hakase," the doctor said she's fine but she couldn't remember us at all" "When we asked the doctor he told us that she may have a head trauma that caused a memory loss" sighed Conan tiredly "but we can't actually find out until she wakes up again" Subaru sighed as he placed his hand on his jaw "that must be a hell of an accident"
"When she woke up before she was in a lot of pain" Agasa added to Conan's statements.
It has been a couple of days since the accident occurred, she got everyone worried about her, the doctor told them that it may take a while for her to get better, it was a terrible accident, Haibara was lucky that she's still alive, her body was so fragile to get through all of this, she always goes through enormous cycles of suffering 'I wish I could ease whatever you are going through right now'.
he looked at her peaceful face with ache, sat right next to her "I'm so sorry" whispered in her ear " I wasn't there for you when you needed me the most" he sighed "I never was" stood on his feet and Walked toward the door " everything will be fine" reassuring the people who are sitting in the room, " I think she will get better in no time" sighed powerlessly" please tell me what happens when she wakes up, I don't want to be there when she's awake" left the room without waiting to listen to any replies.
'it's all my fault' thought with a bitter smile on his face.
So that's it for the first chapter, it's a little bit short but your feedback is highly appreciated. I'd love to see what do you think in order to continue with this fiction.
Thank you
