Awake:
It was dark when she finally woke up, next to her were on the chair the old man snoring she saw earlier, she felt the fear and confusion stabbing her heart "where I am?" she freaked out, trying to move, to escape but the pain reminded her that she has a broken limb, her breath started to get heavier and heavier.
The old man woke up and looked at her in panic, "Ai- Kun" he stood up worried about the little girl "it's fine I'm going to call the doctor" while he came walked closer to her bed, "what do you want from me?" she cried out in fear. He stepped a few steps back when he saw the terror in her eyes "relax please" as he went out of the room. She tried to close her eyes as she heard the door open, the doctor came closer to her "please don't hurt me" said as her body stiffened "don't worry I'm a doctor, I'm just trying to help you" while he placed his hand on her shoulder with a smile "you just had a nightmare and now you're totally awake" she looked at him with disbelief "now, please let us examine you"
She lied down on the bed with a storm in her mind, who is she? She couldn't remember anything, what happened to her? She looked at the concerned old man with confusion, it seems that he's close to her, that she meant a lot to him, while he said "you're safe here" sighed "no one will hurt you here, it's late right now try to go get some rest and tomorrow we'll talk" as he walked past the door and closed it behind his back.
She couldn't close her eyes for a single moment that night.
Motionless.

"So the doctor said that she lost her memory due to the concussion, and she may recover her memories back?" Conan blinked.
"exactly" answered Agasa-Hakase "although I think she doesn't remember her true identity either"
"that is possible"
"Should we tell her?" asked Agasa.
"no she wouldn't handle the truth" replied the tall man with glasses "that would be too risky especially now as you said she is unstable"
"so what are suggesting Subaru-San?" asked Conan.
" I think the best thing to do is tell her about her life here with us, she's a normal 8-year-old girl who lives with you Hakase" Subaru implied " Maybe she could recover some memories with time"
"Conan-Kun" a voice came out behind them. Where were the detective boys standing, "we came in to check on Ai-chan" Ayumi said cheerfully " I brought some photo albums of us so we can help her remember" nodding at the pink covered album in her hands.
"What a great idea Ayumi- chan" replied Subaru happily.
" Let's go inside then I'm tired up here" Genta nodded impatiently.
The children and Hakase were already inside Haibara's room while Conan and Subaru were still standing in the corridor of the hospital "aren't going to go inside?" Conan asked Subaru
"Not now" he answered dryly, as he preceded to leave "Hey" Conan replied to the man, "I think she needs you" smiled "more than anyone else Subaru-san" Subaru turned his head toward the boy "Just take care of the flowers, Conan-Kun" and left the place.
'I'm such a disappointment'

Haibara was surrounded by the detective boys who were showing her the photo album, "you see here we went camping together" said Ayumi while turning the pages of the album "and here when we went to the zoo"
"Haibara-san loves animals" Mitsuhiko added to what Ayumi was saying.
While they were trying their best to make her recollect her memories, it was much harder than they have ever anticipated, she looked at them confused although the children's vibes made her smile.
"Hey Hey" Hakase protested "I appreciate your efforts but we have to let Haibara rest for a while" looked at them with a genuine smile "we don't want to overwhelm her"
"Hey Hakase we're trying to help her remember fast" Genta replied angrily
"Oi Oi" Conan nodded," I think.."
"thank you" before he could finish his sentence Haibara replied with a low yet sweet tone "thank you for helping me out"
Conan looked at Haibara, she looked fairly delighted, her tone was kinda childish, for the first time in her life she acted like a child.
"we're doing our best Ai-chan" Ayumi replied Happily "I'll leave the album here with you so you can look at it as much as you can"
"and we will write down everything you will miss out in school" Mitsuhiko added.
"and I'll get you some snacks when we visit tomorrow," Genta announced.
The boys greeted Haibara and then left.
"so tell me," said Hakase while sitting at the chair next to her bed "how are you feeling now?"
"better" lied down with some slight pain "my head still hurts a little bit"
"don't worry my dear you will get better in no time"
she hummed to him without saying another word
" by the way Ai-Kun" Hakase added "tomorrow you will leave the hospital and we'll finally go home"
"home?"
"yes our house where we live"
"Why do I live with you?"
the man looked at her startled as she continued " where are my parents?"
"your parents" as he swallowed his breath.
"your parents are in America" Conan answered in a hurry while Agasa looked confused "that's why you live with Hakase"
"Oh" she nodded nonchalantly before she rested her head on the pillow. Although she was a tad childish she was an extremely cold child Conan thought.
"Hey" she initiated powerless by.
"Hmmm?" Conan replied.
"Nothing" she backed off closed her eyes, not wanting to talk to anyone around her.

As the darkness prevailed, there was no one in Haibara's room except for her, she couldn't sleep at night, she's really scared of sleeping. The demons inside her head would never leave her when she's in nightmare territory. She decided that sleep isn't her thing.
She looked at the fairly dark room, it was so silent. Except for the lights that come out of the buttons of this bed, she looked at the lavender roses beside her head, their scent made her heart feel warm, their look, their color, the scent all felt familiar to her, more than the people that surrounded her all day long.
As she gazed at the flowers, she noticed the pink album which that girl left behind, she picked it up and turned the pages, she studied the faces who are captured in the pictures. The detective boys who visited her, a brunette in her teenage years with that so-called Conan boy, with an older man who looks like the girl's father. They all looked, happy.
She continued looking at these images, her heart skipped a beat, she noticed a man with a blond hair, wearing glasses on his face accompanying Hakase which they looked like they were working on some kind of project, her eyes were fixed on that man, his smile grew something inside her, she felt like, she missed him.
And on the other side of the door stood that man, leaning towards the wall, powerless. He took a deep breath, then walked back and forth, is it time? He thought. Conan's words impacted him. He could help her remember, after all, he caused all this. He has to meet her sooner or later. Why is he so scared of the encounter? she lost her memories, she won't remember him! Nor what happened before the accident, but when she does, it's all over..
