AUTHOR'S NOTE: Villain Midoriya Izuku and Hero Uraraka Ochako. I just started typing. Here's what I got.
Explosions. Sounds of fighting. Cackling laughter from a blood-thirsty girl. The whoosh of flames and the crackling of ice. The League of Villains were confronted by some Pro Heroes who were fighting them off while others helped in evacuation of civilians.
But two were not fighting.
One was a young man in a pair of dark slacks, white buttoned dress shirt, green shirt vest, red tie. His hair was untamed, a shade of dark green. On his cheeks were distinct four freckle marks. His emerald gaze locked with a pair of cinnamon brown orbs. These brown eyes belonged to a young woman with shoulder-length auburn hair, styled in a bob cut fashion. Her cheeks were highlighted with pink blush stickers. She wore a pink and black cling-firm outfit with pink cushioned boots, belt, and acupressure gauntlets. Her helmet had been lost in the battle.
They stared at each other, the world around them nonexistent.
"I… I remember you…"
"Yeah… I remember you, too…"
This was the first time she has seen the boy before her in three years. He… he's changed…
"What happened to you?"
He stared at her, unflinching. She has changed in three years since their brief encounter…
"I was saved from suicide… even though I had given up on life…"
"… Why?"
He didn't have a clear answer for her.
"I… I don't know…"
They were enemies to each other.
But neither teen moved against the other.
"You know… I could kill you, right here, right now…"
"I know… I know you could…"
They kept staring.
"Things… they could have been different…"
Izuku sighed softly. "Maybe…"
Ochako's brought her hands up to her chest, clenching them together.
"Maybe… we could have been classmates in school. You could have been at my side as a hero in training…"
Izuku frowned.
"Maybe… we could have been on the same side lashing out at the world for its unfairness because of situations beyond our control."
"Maybe…"
"Yeah… maybe…"
Ochako sighed sadly. "I… I should have done more three years ago…"
"What's done is done. You can't really change anything." Izuku offers a look of condolence. "Even if you could… no one from your side would care less about a villain like me, or care little about me being quirkless…"
"Which is wrong… it's wrong to discriminate against the quirkless…"
Izuku flashed a pained look.
"Which is why they'll execute me if I get caught at worst or at best just lock me up and toss the key. And my mom… she'll never forgive me for what I've done…"
"… I could help you…"
"I wish you could… but they'll end up hating you if you did."
"Let them."
Izuku stayed quiet.
The sounds of fighting was beginning to die down, and Izuku starts taking steps back from Ochako.
"I won't stop," she said. Izuku glanced to her. "Even if I have to chase you all over the world… I'll save you… somehow… I promise, Deku-kun."
Izuku smiles.
"Don't make promises you'll never keep… Uravity-chan."
He flees the scene, throwing tear gas bombs when a couple other heroes caught him fleeing and tried to give chase; he refused to take a life. Ochako frowned, closing her eyes as a tear fell.
"Deku-kun…"
Deku and Uravity had a dynamic not unlike a hero and a villain would interact.
She felt… feelings… for Deku…
And deep down, she knew… Deku felt for her…
But they were different. Very different from each other.
Hikari. Of the Light.
Yami. Of the Dark.
Different down the center.
But both of them…
They each were a victim to one another…
One wants to save.
The other wants to be saved but fears he would be denied.
Why is the world so cruel to them?
