Troubled:
The World looks grey, the sky is gloomy with a glance of rain, everything around felt bitter. Every drop of rain echoed like a wailing soul.
Many people were walking down the street while holding their umbrellas in their hands, yet that man who was standing by the window had a vast amount of emptiness to fill him, observing every detail around him, everything seemed blue.
While he wasn't the emotional kind of human being, but today he couldn't deny it. He couldn't feel anything but despair.
They should arrive any minute now, he thought. As he kept gazing through the window calmly he decided that he wanted to meet her today, no more hiding, he noticed the yellow beetle parking outside of Hakase's house, a smirk appeared on his mouth, stepped back to check the curry that was simmering on the stove "I think I have to meet you today" as he stirred the stew "Haibara-san"

She stepped inside the large house accompanied by the old man and the young boy, " this is where we live Ai-chan" said Hakase, she wandered around bolting into every corner of it, searching for answers or memories but there lied nothing.
Nothing was familiar, it felt like she walked into a black hole. She nodded nervously as they stepped deeper into the foreign place. They walked into the door to see some endless stairs to find a basement with a white lifeless room that had a couch, a bunch of files, and a computer "you used to spend a lot of time here Ai-chan, this is your favorite room in the house" said Hakase
"What did I use to do down here?" she asked him with astonishment.
Both of them stood in front of her startled, what a child her age was doing in here? They almost forgot that she doesn't remember anything about her true identity.
" oh we tend to test the games that Hakase makes down here " Conan answered nervously.
" says Haibara" Conan initiated " do you like curry?" asked her cheerfully to draw her away from that question.
"Curry?" she answered powerlessly
"yes," said Agasa " our neighbor Okiya Subaru-san makes the best curry in town, so I thought that he can join us for dinner"
"Okiya Subaru" she mumbled nervously.
Okiya Subaru
She stood there frozen, that name sounded familiar..
"Haibara?" Conan placed his hand on her shoulder.
"Dai" she whispered silently..
Pain
Her head started to get heavier and heavier.
"Haibara"
The voice broke whatever she was experiencing. She gazed at its source to find Conan looking at her worried.
"Are you okay?" He asked her with an anxious note.
" I'm tired" she sighed " I want to rest"

She lied on her bed, glanced at the white, cold empty ceiling. Her head was spinning and everything was blurry.
She couldn't remember a single thing, but that one word 'Dai'
who was he? She had no clue. Every single time she recalls that word she feels pure pain.
Though she didn't know why.
She closed her eyes trying to escape these thoughts to drown in a deeper darker sea.
She lied on her bed helpless
Lifeless.
And lost.

The guest has come, carrying a warm pot of curry in his hands, on a cold night.
Knocked on the door..
Waited for a few seconds for the door to open, to find the nervous old man greeting him.
"Good evening Hakase" smiled Subaru-san
"Welcome welcome" Hakase replied "come on in"
" How is she doing?" Said Subaru while entering the house and handling the pot to Hakase.
"She's okay" responded with hesitation " she doesn't seem to remember anything and her, I think she's troubled "
"don't worry I think it's normal for her to feel lost" sighed the man with glasses and continued "she will be fine"
They walked down the hall toward the living room.
"you ready Akai-san?" whispered Agasa
"born ready" he answered with confidence, yet he wasn't sure if he means it or not.
Well facing that woman is one of the biggest fears of him.
He never faced her with the truth. Not when his infiltration mission into the Black organization was exposed, nor after her sister's death.
He ran away, stayed hidden between the ashes of his guilt and the fear of her reaction.
"not anymore," he mumbled.
The two men entered the living room, to find the red-haired girl sitting next to Conan who is explaining to her some stuff about school.
"Ahem" declared Agasa-Hakase to draw their attention.
She looked at them, at him with empty eyes the man whose picture chased her dreams is standing in front of her.
Her glare shot him like a bullet, they have finally met, yet she doesn't remember a single thing about him.
" Let me introduce you to Subaru-san," said Hakase nervously " he is our neighbor who is an engineering student, and he prepared some dinner for us to eat" while raising the piping hot pot.
She looked at him with no emotion but confusion. He walked closer to her as both of their heartbeats were almost audible.
he bowed down to her level " nice to meet you, princess" with a genuine smile on his face " I'm Subaru Okiya"
She looked at him, she had a strange feeling, that man from the album, is standing in front of her. This man is the only thing that triggered her since her awakening, but why? Who is he? Why did he impact her like that?
she smiled back nervously " nice to meet you too"
" Ummm so shall we eat?" Conan initiated to break the tension that was burning between them.
"oh, what a wonderful idea" answered Hakase while preparing the plates for them.
They sat on the table as they started to pour the stew into the bowls.
Subaru handed the girl the bowl of stew " here you go Haibara-san"
Nodded at him silently, while she was avoiding his gaze.
They sat, no one has said a single word, he looked at her and saw nothing but the cold clueless girl. As if the woman he knew has vanished. She sat in front of him lost and he couldn't save her again..
" so how are feeling now Haibara?" asked Conan.
She raised her head powerlessly " I'm fine" she gazed away for a moment " where are my parents? Why do I live here with you?"
Agasa Hakase chocked on his food when he heard her question, nor Conan and Subaru saw that question coming "well they're away" answered Subaru "they live in America"
"do you know them?" fired back.
He smiled at her " I'm familiar with them, anyways how is the curry? did you like it? we used to cook together in the past"
He looked straight into her empty eyes, her heart pounded from his place, she couldn't identify the feeling.
"together" repeated what he was saying.
That feeling from earlier hit her again.
Pain.
Those eyes.
"Dai" she whispered.
"hmm?" Subaru's eyes winded.
"Dai" her voice risen a bit more. While her head was buried inside her arms.
"Haibara" she heard Hakase yelling.
His eyes chased her even when she closed hers.
She couldn't escape it, the pain.
She didn't know why but that man was something else, she couldn't explain it.
Her head became heavier and heavier and everything around her blacked out.
