One morning, Bev woke up, feeling a bit more queasy than usual. She felt a bit weird, feeling as if she wanted to throw up more than usual. Bev felt a tightness in her stomach, a big tightness, as she felt the pain get lower, lower, lower, and tighter, tighter, tighter. Bev shut her eyes in pain. It got tighter, tighter, tighter, then a loud pop! Was heard. Bev felt like she wanted to scream, as she felt it get even tighter. Ed came in, seeing what was going on. "I may be in labor". Bev said, feeling a bit pained.

"Come with me". Ed said, helping Bev into the car. "I told Rocko to bring Emily up a little later". "Let's do this". Ed said, as they sped to the hospital.

Bev was in a wheelchair, having contractions, as she went over to the delivery room. Ed stayed in the room with her, and the rest was history after that. I need not mention the rest.

Emily got out of her room, coming into the kitchen, seeing Rocko there. Rocko sat, making some peanut butter, and jelly for Emily. "Hi, Rocko". Emily said, sitting down. 'Hi, Emily, sweetheart". Rocko said, gently. "How are you this morning?". "I'm good". Emily said. "I'm glad". Rocko replied, gently. "I know Yogurt is your favorite, but, do you like PB and J?". "my mommy makes Peanut butter, and Jelly for lunch". Emily said. "I'm sure you've never had PBJ for breakfast". Rocko said, gently. "Where is my mommy and daddy?". Emily asked.

"Well, that's exactly what I was hoping to talk to you about". Rocko said, kindly. "Your mom had a baby today". "She's at the hospital, we're going to see her, as soon as we get dressed and ready". "My brotter came". Emily said, excited. "He did". Rocko said, gently. "I just got the call earlier". "He's very healthy, 2 lbs and 3 ounces". "Do you want to go see him?". "Yes". Emily smiled. "Let's get ready, and then we'll go". Rocko said, gently.

Emily got her shirt on, and jacket, as they got in Rocko's car, driving to the hospital. They sat in the lobby, where Paula had a stroller, and her baby in her arms. Filburt sat next to her. "Hi, Paula". Emily said. "Hi, sweetie". Paula said, gently, feeding her baby girl, Missy. "Hi, Missy". Emily said. "Mmm, sweetie, your mom's doing well". Paula said, gently. "She just had her baby boy, he's very healthy". "What is his name?". Emily asked. "His name is Spencer". Paula said, gently. "My brotter, Spen-cer". Emily pronounced. "That's right". Paula said, gently. "Do you want to go see him?". "He's just in the other room".

"Here, let's go see our new friend". Paula said, kindly, picking up Missy in her carrier, walking down the hall to the hospital room. Emily went into the other room, seeing her mom, and her new baby brother, Spencer. "Mommy". Emily said, happily. "Hello, sweetie". Bev said, gently. "I'd like you to meet our newest addition, Spencer". "My brotter". Emily said. "That's him". Bev said, gently. "Let's say hello". Emily looked down at the baby. "My brotter was born". Emily said. "He was". Bev said, gently. Emily felt complete now. It was as if all of her problems were solved. It was as if she was truly healing. Family, love, and trust, friendship was what she was experiencing. She felt at home. "I love you". Emily said. "He loves you too". Bev said, gently. Emily felt loved, and felt special. She made a pact with herself that she was going to be a true big sister.

Rocko came into the room, looking at the baby. "He looks handsome". Rocko said, happily. "He's a good kid, I can feel it". "True". Ed said. They looked down at Spencer. Spencer was truly a good kid. He was their new addition. "You'll have a new friend to hang out with". Paula said, holding Missy. For some odd reason, Spencer looked like a cross between a toad, and a Wallaby. No one seemed to notice. Emily just felt happy she had a younger brother. This was family. This was what love truly was. They celebrated life, but in essentiality, they celebrated love. Family was love. Friendship was love. Healing was love. Now that everyone was healing, it would be a good existence. It would be a good life. It was a good Modern Life.

Don't go away folks, there was one more celebration that was to be had that rounded out everyone's modern life.

There was a high rise hotel. It was a luxurious hotel, where the Bighead's had arranged for everyone to stay. The Bighead's room sat adjacent to the Hutchison Turtle's room. Emily had her own bedroom. Her brother's little crib, bed was in her room. She often got up, and checked on her brother in the middle of the night when she went to the bathroom. Today was the big day for the vow renewal. Emily was excited.

"Mommy". Emily said, going over to her parents' bed. "Good morning, my sweet girl". Bev said, gently. She turned over a bit. "Today is our big day". "I am the maid of honor". Emily said. "You are". Bev said, gently. "I am very excited". "Mommy, can I have my dress?". Emily asked. "Of course, you'll look beautiful". Bev said, gently. "Are you ready?". "Yes". Emily said.

Bev got up, kissing Ed on the mouth. She went over to the bathroom, turning the shower on. Ed got ready over with Filburt, and some of the guys. He got Ivanov ready as well.

Emily went into the girl's room to get ready with Paula. "Mmm, hey, sweetie". Paula said, putting some makeup on. "Today's a special day, are you ready?". "Yes". Emily said. "Mmm, I have your dress in the closet over here". Paula said, gently. "Have you ever worn makeup before?". Paula asked, gently. "No". Emily said. "Princesses wear makeup". Paula said, smiling. "It's a way of making you look beautiful". "Ok". Emily said.

Paula helped Emily into her baby pink dress. Emily smiled, and played, as she got her dress tied. "Sweetie, why don't we put some blush on". Paula said, gently. "Does it hurt me?". Emily asked. "No, no, honey, it's a kind of makeup". Paula said, kindly. "I just use this brush, and it'll put a special powder on that will cover your face". "It'll make you look like a princess". "Ok". Emily said. "Let's try it". Paula said, gently. She put some blush on Emily's face. "It tickle, tickle". Emily laughed. "It does". Paula smiled. She put some blush on Emily.

Paula got herself ready as well. An assistant, a female mouse. (Again, this is Rocko's Modern Life, it's Cartoony). A mouse helped Paula put her dress on. Paula also put on her heels. The female mouse curled Paula's hair. "Mm, so are you excited to be a maid of honor?". Paula asked, gently. "Yes". Emily said. "I help my mommy". "That's amazing". Paula said, putting on her lipstick. "You truly are the best". "Thank you". Emily said.

The girls got ready, getting in one limo, as the men got in another. They eventually got to the church. Bev waited in another room, Ed did as well. The guests, which consisted of Ed's family, Bev's family, and the Wolfe's, took their seats. The music played, as the bridesmaids came down the aisle way. The maid of honor, Emily, came down the aisle way, holding a corsage.

Then there was Bev. Bev was wearing her old wedding dress. Bev came up the aisle, accompanied by her dad. She met Ed up at the altar. Ed was wearing a new tuxedo. The priest was there. It was Emily's favorite priest.

Everyone got silent for a moment as the priest spoke. "We are gathered here today to celebrate the continuing love between these two great people". "Ed, will you?". The priest asked. "Yes". Ed said. "Beverly, from the beginning, and for years to come, I promise to honor, to stand by you, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse, through good, and through bad, you are the single best thing that has happened to me". "I am forever grateful to have someone who is as amazing as you". "Things are truly better with you in them". "From the time I met you, I knew I was the lucky one".

"Yes, and Beverly?". The priest said. "Ed, I understand we've had some ups and downs through the years, I understand time has passed, but each day I'm with you, I feel at peace". Bev said. "You are my everything, and I'm very excited to have started a life with you". "You as well". Ed said. "I promise to love, honor, and be beside you, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse, through good and through bad". "I will always be beside you". Bev smiled.

"Ed, do you continue to take this woman as your wife?". The priest asked. "I do". Ed said. "Beverly, do you continue to take this man as your husband?". The priest asked. "I do". Bev said. "I now pronounce you continuing husband and Wife". The priest said. Everyone cheered, and clapped. The music played, as Ed, and Bev kissed. It truly was a celebration.

Emily performed for everyone, as everyone cheered. Emily was happy as well. It was time for the luncheon now. Everyone had a great meal.

Bev looked out at everyone. She looked at her friends, her family, and herself. She was truly lucky to have everyone. She was the woman who had everything. She would continue to have everything. Even though everything was bleak at this time, there was hope. There was love. Even in this little sliver of something. There was something to be thankful for.

Rocko looked out at his friends, at his neighbors, at O Town. He was truly thankful for everything he had. He was thankful for everyone he met. He was thankful for everyone, and everything he came across. It was nice to know. In an age, and in a time when everything was bleak, there was hope. There was a glimmer of something special. This was a bleak time in nature, dear reader. In this age, people are at each other's throats, mean to each other all of the time, death is prevalent, and so is severe cruelty. There's another story that capitalizes on this that's coming. Anyhow, there was little to no hope, but the renewal of vows, and a nice marriage restored some hope.

Rocko felt reassured at this point. There was love, there was hope somewhere. He would find it, he would find it, for as long as it took, and his friends would help him get there.
