Waking up in their room that morning was the most relaxed Midoriya had felt in a while. The room was relatively cool- the AC unit that was across from them in the room humming softly as it worked to cool the room. The soft off-white color of the curtains looked golden in the early morning light, letting the sunlight stream in from where they had forgotten to fully pull them shut last night. They were honestly so jetlagged from the plane ride that he and Todoroki collapsed into the bed in a heap almost immediately.
Midoriya was out like a light, so anything past his head hitting the plush pillow on their bed was forgotten. Looking around- he saw that Todoroki had started the unpacking process. He also had his pants by the side of the bed, just as he did when he was on call back on campus. Midoriya knew from experience that the jean pockets were already stashed with Todoroki's important possessions- the belt still threaded through to make putting on the pants easier.
Eyes landing on the nightstand, Midoriya was surprised that Todoroki hadn't brought his radio with him, so used to it taking up a spot on his nightstand. He supposed it wouldn't make sense to bring it- they were in a completely different country. Instead, it simply held their phones and Midoriya's silver medical bracelet. He didn't remember taking it off- supposing Todoroki must've done that for him.
Looking up, his boyfriend seemed to still be asleep. His face was still, looking peaceful as bicolored hair fell into his eyes. It was starting to get long- though Midoriya didn't mind the shaggy hair look. Midoriya peaked under the sheets curiously, finding they were both just in their shirts and boxers from the day before. Midoriya did distinctly remember pouting and ripping the too hot jeans off before taking a running jump at the bed.
The jeans he had tossed to the side were neatly folded on a chair in the corner now. Shifting around, he managed to peek through the partially open door of the bathroom. Both his and Todoroki's toiletries were scattered along the counter in a relatively neat manner. That was certainly Todoroki's doing- Midoriya hadn't even bothered unzipping his luggage.
Deciding he can continue looking around the room later, Midoriya started to wiggle closer to his boyfriend. He was trying his best not to elbow or jostle the other man as he cuddled close and rested his head on Todoroki's chest. However, it seemed that Todoroki was more awake than Midoriya had originally thought- as he felt warm hands coming up and holding his sides after he began squirming.
"Izuku," Todoroki grumbled, eyes opening just slightly. Peering up, Midoriya could see the grey and blue eyes looking down at him. However, Midoriya was just a little more distracted with the gruff morning voice he was hearing.
"Yes, Shouto?" He hummed, wanting to hear more of that voice. Instead, he found himself being pulled closer to Todoroki- the hands on his hips moving so strong arms could wrap around his middle instead.
"Five more minutes."
Five minutes turned into half an hour of slipping in and out of consciousness for the two. Near the tail end, Midoriya was wide awake. Though, he wasn't ready to get up and face the world quite yet. Not when Todoroki was so warm and holding him so close. Eventually, Todoroki began to stir. One hand making its way to Midoriya's hair and playing with the curls there. Occasionally his nails would run against his scalp gently, causing goosebumps to raise every time. Midoriya had missed this the most during their spring semester scramble.
"Izuku?" Todoroki called out once again, voice barely above a whisper. His hand stilled when he spoke, making his boyfriend pout. Though, not too long after Midoriya felt the hand from before pushing back the curls that had fallen in his eyes.
"I'm awake," he reassured, cracking one eye open to look at his boyfriend. Todoroki didn't respond, however. Instead, he held Midoriya just a little tighter. The sheets rustled and the bed creaked quietly as Todoroki carefully maneuvered himself to be above Midoriya. With a flushed face, the freckled boy allowed his boyfriend to shift their positions. Suddenly, the room was much warmer for Midoriya than it had been just a couple minutes ago. It wasn't the first time they'd been in a suggestive position, but the fact that they were sharing a building with their entire class with the curtains partially open caused Midoriya's anxiety to spike.
"I want to spend every morning like this," Todoroki stated, looking down at Midoriya. Their legs were tangled together as Todoroki hovered over him with his arms braced on either side.
"Oh! Yeah- it's great to sleep in-"
"No. I mean with you."
"I-"
It wasn't often Todoroki was so verbal about his feelings. The man was known for being one of the most stoic people of their year. Rarely shaken by anything their eccentric class could throw at him- and plenty of things had been thrown. Midoriya often found himself lost whenever Todoroki took the initiative to discuss his feelings- seemingly always coming from nowhere with them. He wasn't any less appreciative of the few vulnerable moments Todoroki showed him, though.
He didn't get much of a chance to think about his next reply however, as Todoroki was leaning down and pressing soft kisses to his neck. Midoriya was quick to cover his mouth with his hand after he realized what the redhead was doing. Though he wanted to enjoy the heat of Todoroki's mouth on his neck- they were sharing a wall with Bakugou, for Christ's sake! He wouldn't put it past the blonde to storm over and yell about their current activities if he heard them.
Todoroki was getting increasingly more difficult for Midoriya to ignore, however. The little kisses turned into playful nipping as Midoriya's mind began racing. Worried about all of the consequences that would be facing them if they got caught. Todoroki seemed to have caught on, as he pulled away from Midoriya's neck to look back up at him. Shifting his weight to one arm, he reached up to take the hand that was clamped over Midoriya's mouth.
"Please- don't be so nervous," he murmured, lifting Midoriya's hand to his lips to kiss the knuckles. "Whatever you're thinking about can wait for a couple more minutes."
Midoriya took a deep breath before nodding slowly. Though it would take a little more than Todoroki's quiet words to quell his anxious thoughts, seeing Todoroki's normally stoic face smiling fondly helped quiet them. Todoroki didn't wait- leaning down and kissing Midoriya long and slow. They had kissed like this before- enjoying the warmth of the early morning as they laid with each other.
This morning was a bit more heated than they usually were- with Todoroki's movements being slow, but sure in their destination. Midoriya's mind still raced with the what-ifs, but it was easier to ignore them when Todoroki's hands were dipping beneath his waistband to hold his hips, all the while their kisses grew even more heated.
Their positions shifted again, Todoroki taking the lead as he kneeled in the space between Midoriya's legs. Deciding to be brave for once- Midoriya wrapped his legs around the other's waist- yanking him down with more strength than intended. Todoroki lost his balance, red and white hair falling every which way as his face fell against Midoriya's grey t-shirt.
"Hi, peanut," Todoroki started, chuckling as he slowly got back up, bracing himself on his forearms instead of his hands this time.
"Hi," Midoriya started, giggling despite the embarrassed flush on his cheeks. "That was rougher than intended."
"I noticed." Todoroki's voice was a soft hum as his hands moved. Midoriya felt the collar of his shirt being tugged down slowly and leaned back into the sheets, letting himself just relax for the moment.
Todoroki leaned down again- starting to kiss Midoriya's neck once more. He squirmed as he felt goosebumps rising wherever Todoroki's hands brushed up against his skin, a little whimper escaping him now that his hand wasn't covering his mouth. The hazy pleasure that was building up was almost immediately shattered when he heard a loud pounding on the door of the room. The door was rattling on its hinges and there was only one person in their class who would do that-
"Oi! Are you fuckers up?!"
Midoriya huffed, rolling his eyes a little at his friend's antics. Of course, Bakugou would choose /now/ of all times to come be a dick. However, Todoroki wasn't pulling away anytime soon. In fact- just as Midoriya started to move to get up, Todoroki grabbed his hands, lacing them together before pushing him back down gently. Midoriya knew that if he really wanted to, he could just ask Todoroki to stop. He was enjoying the feeling of warm lips on his skin just a little too much to want to stop, though.
"We- we're up!" He called back, having to bite his lip to keep himself from letting out an embarrassingly loud moan. Todoroki had chosen that moment to bite down, sucking the skin harshly. He had only given Midoriya a hickey once before- back when he had gone to visit the Todoroki estate and Shouto had decided that making out in his father's office would be a fun idea. The same stomach twisting feeling came over Midoriya, his body feeling overheated. He was putty under his boyfriend now and barely caught the rest of Bakugou's shouting.
"We're meeting up for breakfast- get your asses downstairs soon!"
Midoriya didn't bother responding to that one- as he heard the heavy stomping of Bakugou walking away not too long after. For the better as he couldn't really think anything coherent much less say it with the way Todoroki started to rock up against him.
"Shouto- lovely-" he started, voice breathless as he squirmed against the arms pinning him. It didn't take much squirming for Todoroki to pull back, letting go of his boyfriend's wrists. As he pulled back, he could see just how much he had affected Todoroki in turn. His hair was a mess- strands of white and red going every which way. His eyes were dark- pupils blown wide, with his face flushed and lips kiss swollen. Midoriya was certain that he looked similar if not worse.
"Shit- I'm sorry," Todoroki started, sitting back on his knees before reaching out to feel the mark he had left. The skin was still wet there, with a nice purple bruise forming.
"What got into you this morning?" Midoriya asked, looking more amused than upset. His reaction seemed to calm Todoroki- his shoulders slumping as his hands fell to rest on Midoriya's hips. Midoriya was certain the shower he'd be taking would be a cold one this morning, if the tents in their boxers had anything to say about it.
"I just-" Todoroki started- hesitating in telling his boyfriend the answer. "I know we agreed to take things slow…"
"We'll have been together a year come this summer," Midoriya reminded him gently. He knew where this conversation was going. It was one they'd had a couple times before, though now Midoriya's answer had changed. "If you want to… try that. I'm willing. I've actually been thinking about that too. However-" he was cut off by his own stomach growling loudly as he moved to sit up. "Yaoyorozu has been hyping these pancakes for ages and we still have to get ready for the day."
Though both were reluctant, they prioritized getting ready. Todoroki showered first, Midoriya using the time to brush his teeth and go through the other parts of his morning routine. At Todoroki's request- he rifled through the clothes to pick out a nice outfit for breakfast. Midoriya tried not to look at the labels, only imagining what kind of clothes the Todoroki family took on vacation. He witnessed Yaoyorozu board the jet in a sweat suit from a designer brand and he was pretty sure that his wallet winced.
Once clothes were acquired, he and Todoroki switched spots, Midoriya finishing up his morning routine in the shower as Todoroki got dressed. It was a system not unlike one that had back on campus- as he and Todoroki shared a bathroom. Tokoyami and Shinsou shared the other bathroom, though those two tended to be on a later schedule than their roommates.
"Mon chou?" Todoroki called once Midoriya had finally gotten the shower up to a nice lukewarm temperature. He wasn't trying to freeze himself- even if remnants of the heated morning still lingered. "Do you want me to pick out clothes for you?"
Midoriya grinned a little upon hearing the accent slipping its way into Todoroki's speech, mingling with the words there. He remembered the night Todoroki had explained his history with the French language- how they went to a late-night café and exchanged stories over rich coffee.
Todoroki told him about boarding school in France in between gentle kisses and sips of too-strong coffee. About the strict rules and being a stranger in a land he was entirely unfamiliar with. He didn't enjoy many of the memories of the boarding school, however he kept the language and a taste for the cuisine.
"Hm?" Midoriya asked, still a little lost in his boyfriend's accent. He shoved his face into the shower jet stream to try to get himself to calm down. It only really succeeded in making him sputter and grumble- much to Todoroki's dismay.
"Izuku? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine! I- uh- what did you want?" He asked, turning the nozzle to cold. He decided to just get the shower done and over with.
"I was asking if you wanted me to pick out your clothes as well?"
"Yeah! That- that's totally fine!" He agreed, nodding quickly before realizing Todoroki couldn't even see him. There was a small hum and the sound of the door closing, telling Midoriya that his boyfriend had left. He shivered his way through the rest of the shower before quickly wrapping himself up in the fluffy white hotel towels. His hands shook and he was pretty sure his feet were going to be red for a while afterwards. Opening the bathroom door to the air-conditioned bedroom only made his shivering even worse.
Todoroki was still kneeling over his luggage- seemingly looking for a shirt. There was underwear and a pair of shorts already folded neatly on the bed. Deciding that he'd really like to not freeze his literal ass off, Midoriya snatched up the clothes- shoving them on as quickly as his shaking hands would allow him. After that he wrapped the damn towel around him like a cape, letting it warm up his body as Todoroki looked through his collection of shirts.
"Um, Izuku?" Todoroki called, lifting a peach pink colored shirt. It was folded so the thick black text reading 'Beach Bod' printed on the front was easily seen. Midoriya shook his head a little, feeling the water droplets from his curls flying off with the movement.
"It's from Kaminari- you were already asleep by the time he handed his gifts out," Midoriya huffed, rolling his eyes a little at the memory.
Being one of Shinsou's roommates- he'd heard about the real reason for Kaminari's gift giving. Shinsou didn't have a binder that was meant for swimming. Not wanting his boyfriend to miss out, Kaminari had bought him one. Though knowing Shinsou wouldn't be pleased if Kaminari spent his money on such a thing, he bought gag gifts for all of class 1-A and handed them out while Shinsou unwrapped his gift.
Midoriya had been preoccupied with attempting to shove Kaminari's gift for Todoroki anywhere not visible. Kaminari, ever the oblivious sweetheart, had gotten sunscreen for Todoroki. Apparently, the obvious joke about the burn scar was lost on him, instead having meant to poke fun at the fact that their friend was a natural ginger. The rest of the plane chided him as Midoriya wrapped the bottle up in the shirt and promptly forgot about it. Until now- when Todoroki shook the shirt and the orange bottle tumbled back into the suitcase.
"Is this my gift from Kami?" Todoroki asked, reaching out to pick up the bottle. On the front was a bright yellow sticky note with 'Todoroki ;)' written in thick black marker. Midoriya cringed a little- trying to prepare for the worst.
"Well- yeah-"
Before he could continue, he could hear Todoroki laughing. It wasn't his usual laugh that he laughed around friends- it was a deep belly laugh that Midoriya had only heard a couple times before when they had been visiting Rei. It was a laugh Natsuo and Shouto shared over dark jokes during late night card games. Neither brother would dare such things to their mother or sister, but in the living room over a late night poker game they'd share their trauma and laugh it off with loud guffaws.
"That's a good one," Todoroki hummed, moving to stand with the peach shirt. Dropping the bottle back in the suitcase, Todoroki crossed the small space between them. The grey button up t-shirt looked nice on him, Midoriya decided, reaching up to undo the top button.
"That's the exact opposite of what we're supposed to be doing, /Doudou/," Todoroki stated, letting out a little 'tsk' noise before tossing Midoriya's shirt over his shoulder. He reached up, helping his boyfriend towel dry the dark green curls as Midoriya unbuttoned the next three buttons.
"Mmm, but you're so handsome with the shirt like this," Midoriya hummed before making grabby hands for his own shirt. Todoroki stopped moving the towel, letting it drape over the shorter's head. Midoriya moved it quickly- beaming up at the other once he could see him again.
"And you look so handsome with my marks on your neck," he responded, voice dropping an octave as he held the shirt out. Ignoring the heat that was rising to his face, Midoriya took the shirt. He could already tell this was going to be quite the week if this was how his Monday morning was going. They grabbed the last of their things, Todoroki helping with the medical bracelet, before heading out the door.
The night before they hadn't done much in the way of admiring the building. The huge cabin sat at the top of the hill, at the very back of the residential area of the resort. Just to the right was a huge intricate maze of pools and steam houses that made up the spa. Framing the spa was a forest full of hiking trails that lead out to the beach. Midoriya knew that they were meant to go out on a boat their fifth day- the huge catamaran trip to an island for lunch being their last hurrah before having to pack up and leave the next day. However, today was meant to be a spa sort of day from the lecture Iida had given while the jet took off.
The dark polished wood of the wrap around porch was nice- with matching benched outside the front of each room. He knew there were tables and chairs in the back that matched as well- though he hadn't taken the chance to go out and sit. He was dead tired, though he was certain he had heard Sato and Ojiro's rambunctious laughter from the back when he had gotten up in the middle of the night to pee. The walls of the building were a pale cream color, though most of the rooms had huge floor to ceiling windows along with glass doors.
The privacy was kept by long cream-colored curtains that were made of a thick material. However, during the day most of the others seemed to have their curtains at least partially open. The Yaoyorozu's resort chain was one of the top resort chains in the world. The fact that they were staying with the Yaoyorozu chain was practically the only reason Shinsou managed to convince Aizawa to let him go.
On each side of the building were large staircases- made of the same polished wood with grey traction pads stuck to each step. He and Todoroki made their way to the little stone path in front of the cabin hand-in-hand. All of the buildings throughout the resort were connected by the stone path, making navigating the resort easier. They just have to keep going North from the cabin to get to where the restaurant was. It was a huge dining hall just across from check in and attached to an open-air bar area. Apparently Shouji and Mina had already scoped out the bar during check in.
Spotting the small group, Midoriya was relieved to see that he and Todoroki weren't the late ones. There was a still tired looking Kirishima, a rare sight with his hair down, that was cuddling up to an only /mildly/ irritated Bakugou. Uraraka and Tsuyu were in the middle of admiring a butterfly on one of the flower bushes that lined the stone path. Iida was standing there, practically at attention, as he casually chatted with Yaoyorozu and Tokoyami. Shinsou was sitting on the ground- really invested in the book he had picked up at the airport they flew out of. While Kaminari was talking rapid fire to Jiro and Sero. Upon seeing their arrival, Kaminari was the first to wave.
"Hey guys! Whoa- /Midoriya/," Kaminari started- laughing a little before pointing at his neck. "Nice night?"
Mindoriya took far too long to realize what the blond was talking about. By the time he had, Shinsou was already nudging his boyfriend to be quiet and the others were all looking their own version of either scandalized or unimpressed. Granted, they were college students and half of the people making fun of him had no room to talk- /especially/ Kaminari. However, the one reaction that Midoriya focused on was Bakugou's horrified face as he stared at the couple in front of him.
"For the love of- please tell me that wasn't happening when I spoke to you!" Bakugou huffed, shaking his head at the couple. Midoriya pursed his lips together, looking down at the suddenly very interesting stone path. He felt Todoroki's arm snake around his middle, pulling him close before answering for him.
"You know Izuku hates lying."
