Two at a time, a specialty from me. I decided to write this since it was also my assignment for the summer class I'm attending, I already have the outline so yay! So this a Caleo fic, not the most celebrated ship in the fandom, yes, but it is my second favorite ship. Hope you guys enjoy this one!

Conflicted Feelings

Leo and Calypso's House, Thursday Afternoon

After they had moved out of the Waystation, Leo and Calypso had decided to settle down in a small house to start Leo and Calypso's: Auto Repair and Mechanical Monsters. All they did was buy the land since they built the cabin and the repair shop themselves.

Life was good for the most part for both of them. They had at least Two to Three orders on a daily basis and they were always in touch with their friends.

All was fine until Leo had a thought, Did Calypso still like him?

Sure she always made it clear that she did but now, he was starting to doubt it…

It all started when Leo was on break one Saturday afternoon.

He was in the living room of the house after the afternoon shift in the repair shop, resting and waiting for the evening run. Calypso had gone to the grocery, leaving Leo alone.

His mind tended to wander in such moments of idleness so naturally, it wondered to the topic of their relationship.

"She's met better, stronger people than me…even Percy, are we still in this relationship…." He mused as he drummed his fingers on his lap.

"Does she still even love me?" He asked nobody in particular, as his mood saddened.

He then shook his head, "Stop thinking about this" He scolded himself, stood up and went to the shop to do exactly that.

40 Minutes Later

Leo heard the screen door open that led into the house. Knowing who that was, he dropped what he was doing, washed his hands, and rushed inside to greet the person.

"Mamacita!" He yelled and pounced Calypso as she was entering the dining room.

"Ah, Leo!" She said, laughing as she was pinned to the counter.

"I missed you, you know" He mumbled into her hair.

"But I was just gone for an hour…if it makes you feel better, I'll make your favorite" She whispered in his ear.

His eyes lit up at the word favorite, "Really? You're the best Cal!" He said and picked her up and carried her above him.

"Ahaha, Valdez put me down!" She said in between giggles.

"Fine, also I'm making dinner tomorrow Sunshine"

"Of course" And quickly pecked him on the cheek.

"I'll be in the shop for the Evening shift," He said.

"Sure, I'll just call you," She said and they went to do their respective activities.

Leo attended to several more repair orders until Calypso called him back, although he would have to shower first considering what he had just finished. He quickly made his way upstairs and hopped into the showers.

The idea of his relationship being in trouble was washed away as the warm water touched his skin. He hummed 'Island in the Sun' (Which I don't own) while soaping, soon he was out the bathroom and rushing back downstairs for dinner.

"Hey, Cal—wow that's looks good," He said upon entering their dining room.

"Thanks, glad you like it," Said Calypso as Leo sat himself down on took on a plateful of the food in question: Taco's –Made by Calypso—.

He took his first bite, a resounding Crunch emanating from his mouth, "Mm, what did you add in this?" He asked, obviously pleased.

"I tried something else with meat, more Beef, and the Cheese is a different brand," She said, attending to her own Taco.

"Well, you sure know to make this guy happy!" He chimed, a big grin across his face.

Calypso chuckled, Leo may have been a handful at times but moments like these were what made it worth it. They enjoyed their dinner with jokes exchanged and after, they decided to crash on the couch and treat themselves to a movie night.

"What'd you want to watch?" Calypso asked as they began skimming through various movies.

"I wondered if you wanted to choose?" He asked and handed the remote to her.

She nodded, took the remote, and soon enough settled on a cheesy romance film that she found funny.

They cuddled on the couch, had a bucket of popcorn, laughed, and just had a good time. By the time the movie ended, both of them were fast asleep, Leo making comfort on Calypso's head and her doing likewise on his shoulder.

When the next morning rolled around, they had Breakfast and then took to their regular morning routine: Attending to the shop.

"Hey, are you alright?" Asked Calypso as she strode up behind Leo.

"Hm, oh, I'm fine, thanks, Cal…" He said although, if he were, to be honest…he was not fine at all.

His dreams the night before had been hectic and terrible. They had been centered around Calypso herself and they hadn't been pretty. Ranging from him not being able to bring her back to them breaking up…he didn't sleep well at all. The one thing that reassured him that morning was the fact the Calypso was his pillow and that she certainly didn't leave him during the night.

Though he kept silent about it, thinking it was a one-time deal…

He couldn't have been more wrong.

When his mind was idling it tended to –once again— drift towards that subject, by which Leo countered with being more productive which meant he worked faster which then, in turn, gave himself more extra time…

So he was stuck in a cycle that had him focussed on the stability of his relationship. His rational mind told him that everything was fine but the irrational side of his mind was Pessimistic at the very least.

He was able to stave his mind off that with other activities for a few more days but by the time the next week rolled around, it had begun playing in his mind once more.

To adapt, he spent most of his time around Calypso which meant every time he wasn't doing important was doing whatever she was doing.

Calypso on the other hand began to notice his increased clinginess and grew suspicious. She tried getting answers out of him by directly asking or through a drawn-out conversation, none worked.

Eventually, her curiosity and concern got the best of her and she decided that she draw out the answer from him one way or another…

Leo and Calypso's House, Wednesday Evening

Leo was in their shared bedroom. He had closed the shop early tonight since he had felt tired and decided to retire early.

He was facing away from the door so he didn't hear it open since it was done so quietly.

"Hey, Leo—"

"AH! Calypso…you scared me" He said surprised as he turned around.

"Heh, anyways…I wanted to ask you why you seemed to be more…inseparable"

"What do you mean Sunshine? We're always together…" He trailed off, rubbing the back of his neck as if he were nervous.

Calypso narrowed her eyes in suspicion, "Leo, your hiding something, also you're terrible at lying to me" She said with a deadpan look.

"No why would I be—" He was shortly cut off by the intense stare Calypso gave him.

"Okay, fine, I've just been having thoughts if we're still y' know, in this…" He said and although he didn't finish, Calypso understood. She sat down next to him as he slumped his shoulders and hung his head low.

"Babe," She said in a calming voice, "I still love you, you know? Stop thinking that we're going to break-up alright?" She said, pulling him into a warm embrace.

"Thanks, Mamacita…I-you really mean that?" He said in between a couple of sniffles.

"Yes, I'll always be with you"

Leo nodded but that was good enough for Calypso, knowing that she had soothed was enough.

"Since we already had dinner, what do you want to do?" She asked.

"Can we just cuddle…please?" He said in a small voice.

She laughed, "Sure thing" and they laid down and she decided to nuzzle herself in his neck, to which he happily obliged.

"He Cal…"

"Yes, Leo?"

"The way you said Babe was really hot—" For his effort, he received a light smack in the chest.

"...Shut up" Was all she said and the two laughed for a bit but eventually, they were off into slumber, wrapped around each other.
