So I've been binge-reading PJO fanfics and now I'm in the mood to write a Percabeth Oneshot. Roughly based on my mood when I woke up this morning. Hope y'all enjoy it!

Morning Shenanigans

By: Executor25

Thursday, Jackson-Blofis Apartment

Annabeth had woken up and didn't want to get up. Classes had been suspended for the week since the snow had been coming down hard. Thus the environment presented to her this morning was slightly chilly, with nothing to do which meant that it would be a slow day.

She would have gone back to sleep except for one thing.

Her Boyfriend would need not stop snoring.

And considering he was snoring relatively loudly and that he was right beside her, she would not regain her sleep even if her life depended on it.

So she adjusted her position and started one of her favorite things to do with Percy, listen to his heartbeat.

While that may sound weird, to Annabeth it was, somehow, soothing and relaxing to her. Then considering her optimal placement, she also got to cuddle him, which was one of her favorite activities she did with him in bed.

They stayed like that for a couple of minutes, Percy happily snoring away, Annabeth tuning in the soothing tunes his heartbeat produced. Eventually, though, Percy began to stir from his slumber.

"Mm, Morning 'Beth" He slurred, his mind still disorientated from waking up.

"Mornin' Perce" She replied, kissing his neck.

"You sleep well?" He asked, his question muffled by him burying his face into her hair.

"Mmm, yeah," She said before hearing Percy make a gagging sound.

"Not to offend you Wise Girl buuuuut, you have a terrible bed hair right now," He said, quick extracting his nose lest he lose his scent of smell.

"Why Excuse you Perseus but you probably are in the same situation," She said, looking up to him with a smirk.

"Oh?" He decided to play along, "I doubt it, you didn't even bathe last night," He remarked, an expression of confusion and downright bewilderment.

"Didn't even bathe last night" She said in mock imitation before making her retort, "I actually did mind you though you, on the other hand, you were only in the bathroom for less than Five Minutes!"

Percy had hoped that she didn't notice but alas, no such thing with a daughter of Athena and so he simply replied with, "Touche"

This was sort of the daily banter that they exchanged in, with playful teasing and odd remarks, that was mainly the reason why it took them so long to get out of bed on a usual basis.

"So nice not to have to do anything," Percy remarked, breaking the short silence.

"Need I remind you it is your turn to cook?" She said.

"Well yeah...but I just want to stay with you first" And to prove his point, pulled her into a hug.

"Fine, Fine, I'd say we give each other…Fifteen minutes?"

"That's good enough for a short cuddle session"

So they cuddled for a good while, lots of Kisses involved mind you, but soon had to get up and began carrying out their regular morning routine.

"Anything you want in particular today?" He asked before he set out to make the household breakfast.

"Hmm, I'm kinda craving Waffles" She replied before Percy gave her a quick kiss and a smile before launching to the kitchen.

This left her by herself, chuckling. Even though they had been in a relationship for a relatively long period, she would never get used to Percy's antics, no matter how long he kept them up. She washed her face, brushed her teeth, and did her hair, keeping in its state of freefall(Percy and told her he liked her hair that way when they were at home).

When she got out to the kitchen, Percy was hard at work, working on the blue pancake batter.

"Need any help there?" She asked, startling him somewhat. He was startled enough that he had accidentally splattered her face with some of the batter.

"Ah! Wise Girl...don't do that again and-oh sorry about that" He said sheepishly. Annabeth just huffed, got some of the stuff that had landed on her face, and flicked to Percy.

"What was that for?" He asked.

"Just shows I accept your apology," She said, smirking. But before she could register what was about to happen, Percy approached, leaned down slightly, and kissed her nose. She blinked twice and soon snapped out of her state of confusion.

"Wh-Why'd you do that?"

Percy grinned, an ever so small amount of smugness in them, and answered, "I had to taste the batter" and turned back around to continue making breakfast, leaving Annabeth a blushing mess.

"I can't believe him," She said under her breath but smiled nonetheless, walking over to the couch and plopping herself down to read a book.

.

Several Minutes later

Percy had called her to the dining room and had gone to wake his parents.

When Annabeth walked into the dining room and smiled. Percy had once again produced a feast worthy of the Gods. A stack of butter-laden pancakes, blue of course. On the side were scrambled eggs, spam, Toast and to boot, a full pitcher of Grape juice.

She sat herself down, inhaled the wafting smell, and loaded her plate. Shortly thereafter, she was joined by everyone else and they exchanged conversation.

"So what are you two going to do today?" Sally asked.

"I dunno, what about you Percy?" Annabeth directed to him.

"I guess finish the homework I haven't done yet-"

Annabeth who was up to that point just drinking her juice nearly spat it out exclaiming, "WHAT!? I thought I had helped you finish everything last week!"

"Ehehehe, apparently there were a few that I missed," He said, rubbing the back of his neck.

She audibly sighed then said, "Well we might as well finish those, and if there's a lot…" She said, leaving the threat hanging.

"No, no, just around two," He said to defend himself lest he receive a lengthy lecture from her about how he managed his after-school works.

Soon after Breakfast, Percy went off to wash the dishes with Annabeth who decided to assist. In the middle of this, Percy's mind had a mental slip which meant the water he was directing went awry and would have splashed Annabeth had she not swatted it away with the plate she was scrubbing...into Percy. Now he was channeling a large amount of water as if the piping didn't exist and that came all right back at him, thus he was now soaking wet.

"What was that for?!" He exclaimed, mainly out of surprise.

"I thought you were trying to wet me!" She defended.

"I wouldn't do that-" He was cut off by Annabeth giving him a questioning glare, "Fine, that isn't completely true, but I wouldn't do that inside the house"

"Fair, Fair...though I guess that's payback for a while ago, and yes I know it was an accident but so was this," She said.

"Speaking of a while ago you still have batter on your face" He pointed out.

"We can take a quick shower after we finish"

And he took her up on that, they quickened their pace and soon Percy was stepping into the shower considering he was soaked.

"Seaweed Brain would it hurt for you to hurry up" He heard Annabeth remark.

"You only have pancake mix on your face Wise Girl, calm down"

.

Fifteen Minutes later

The fact that that he had taken the majority of the time in the bath still left Annabeth wondering how he managed to get ready at camp. Nonetheless, after seeing his remaining assignments she quickly declared that they wouldn't take along.

"Pull up a chair Percy, and get a pen"

"But there's one there"

"For you," She said and he did as he was told.

"Okay, so which do we start with first?" He asked as he sat down beside her on his bed.

"Well the English one seems easy so let's start with that"

"Sure" And Percy pulled out his pen and Annabeth just realized which pen he opened.

"PERCY THAT'S RIPTIDE-EEP TOO CLOSE!"
