Chapter 6
Dean was up first the following morning and let Sam sleep while he went to wake Dom to go grab some breakfast before they headed out. They walked over to the diner and got takeout and parted ways once they were back at the motel. They agreed to meet back up in an hour to put their plan in motion. Once Sam showered and ate a little, they headed to the Impala and met Dom walking across the parking lot.
"All right, everyone knows what to do," Dean said. "Sammy I'll drop you at the park and Dom and I will head into town. You call if you see anyone you think could be the siren. No confronting her on your own, got it? If you don't see anything after a couple of hours, I say we call it and maybe try in the afternoon."
"I know what to do Dean; it's not my first hunt. Don't worry so about me," Sam told him with a huff as he got in the Impala.
"He's being hard on you because he cares about you Sam," Dom offered catching his eye as he climbed into the back of the Impala.
"I know, he's being overprotective; he can't help it. It's ingrained in his genes."
"That's what big brothers do."
"I know, Dean's been that way all our lives. I've gotten used to it."
"But do be careful out there Sam."
"I will," Sam said out loud before he could stop himself and looked over at Dean when he glanced his way trying to figure out why he said that.
"Who you talking to Sammy?" Dean questioned.
"Myself," Sam offered quickly and turned to look out the window before Dean asked any other questions. He saw they were almost to the park and grabbed his bottle of water and hand towel so he could have a jog while looking for the siren. He hoped it would make him feel better, getting some exercise and the fresh air.
"Okay Sammy, this is the beginning of the jogging trail that loops through the park. Watch your back," Dean ordered as he stopped in the parking lot of the park.
"I will. You two do the same," Sam responded getting out and walking to the beginning of the trail. He stretched for five minutes before slowly jogging down the trail. He looked around at the people that were already in the park, studying them but did not see any red flags letting him know any of them was his target.

"Okay, here you go kid," Dean announced as he pulled up to the grocery store where one of the suspects met the siren.
"Thanks, I will text if I find anything," Dom replied as he opened the door of the Impala.
"Dom, before you go," Dean started making Dom pause with the door of the car open.
"Yes Dean."
"If you sensed something was wrong with Sammy, you would tell me, right?"
"Of course, Dean, why? Is something wrong with him?"
"I don't know. Maybe I'm just imaging it, forget I said anything," Dean scoffed shaking his head and sighing.
Dom looked at the older Winchester for a moment, waiting for him to continue. When he did not say anything, he spoke again.
"Dean, if there's anything you want to talk about, anything, we can."
"Alright, go on check the place out," Dean told him. "And kid, thanks."
"No problem Dean. I'll see you later." Dom got out and shut the car door and stepped back as Dean pulled away. He watched for a moment wondering what had Dean worried about Sam. He filed that away for later before strolling toward the double doors.
Dom stopped inside the store and looked around, giving each person a glance before picking a basket up and strolling deeper into the store. He was going to grab a six pack of beer and a few snacks for them for later. He made several tours of the store, not sensing anyone not human. He made another round through the store, walking up and down the aisles before going to the checkout and paying for his purchases. He got a cold soda and took a seat on a bench at the entrance doors to people watch for a while.

Dean fussed at himself for not being brave enough to ask Dom about Sam. He did not want to cause any conflict if there was nothing wrong, but he wanted to ease his troubled mind. The drug store was only a few miles from where he dropped Dom and it did not take Dean long to get there. He pulled into the parking lot and found a place to park where he could see the doors. He sat in the car thinking as he watched the comings and goings of customers. Dean shook himself and drew in a deep breath before getting out and going inside.
The store was brightly lit and there were customers throughout the store shopping. Since he was here, Dean decided to pick up a few things to replenish their first aid kit. He snagged a basket and made his way to the first aid aisle, looking at his choices. He glanced at the other shoppers, but none seemed out of place or interested in him. He did not think staking out the sites where the other men had met the siren was going to work. They had no way of knowing what she looked like and no test they could do to find her.
After tossing gauze pads, bandages, and tape into his basket, Dean headed to another aisle to get a bottle of extra strength Tylenol remembering they were getting low. He wandered around the store, trying not to be obvious that he was checking out the other customers.
Forty-five minutes later, Dean decided this was a bust and headed for the cashier to pay for his purchases. He grabbed a soda and bag of peanut M&Ms at the checkout and waited as the cashier rang the items up. He paid and headed out to the car. Dean relaxed in the driver's seat munching on the candy as he watched the comings and goings from the drug store. He would give it a little more time before calling it quits and leave to pick up the others. They were going to have to come up with another plan to find the siren if Dom or Sam did not have any luck.

Sam had jogged around the trail through the park and stopped to rest for a moment. He sipped on the bottle of water and took in his surroundings and the people that were there. None of them seemed out of place or suspicious to him. He closed his water bottle and decided to make another round for the exercise. The trail was only two miles and an easy run for him.
As he was nearing the beginning of the trail for a second time a small cry from behind him made him stop and look back. He saw a young woman sitting in the dirt just off the trail and she seemed to be hurt. Sam jogged back to her to see if she was okay. When he got close enough to see her, Sam slowed because she looked familiar.
"Hi, are you okay?" he asked kneeling down beside the woman.
"I was a klutz and twisted my ankle," she replied looking to Sam with beautiful blue eyes filled with tears. She had sweat beading up on her forehead and upper lip from running and her face was a little flush. Her honey blonde hair was pulled up in ponytail and hung to her shoulders. She was fit and tanned, with a runner's body.
"May I look?"
"I guess. I don't think it's broken but it hurts like hell."
Sam unlaced her running shoe on her right foot and gently slipped it off making the woman hiss and wince in pain.
"Sorry, sorry," he apologized. Sam eased the sock off her foot and examined her ankle. It was swelling and starting to bruise slightly. "Can you wiggle your toes?"
"I think so," she replied looking to her toes and slowly moved them.
"You're right, it's not broken, but you need to stay off it and get some ice on it for the swelling."
"Thank you for stopping. If you can help me up, I can make it to my car," she told him as she tried to push herself up off the ground. She had snagged her sock and shoe in one hand and held onto Sam's shoulder with the other.
"Here, let me help." Sam insisted and picked her up in his arms bridal style. She felt light and he could not get the nagging feeling out of his mind that she seemed familiar to him. He looked closer and his first thought was she looked like Amelia, but when he cocked his head and looked again, he thought she looked like Jessica. Sam shook his head to rid himself of those thoughts.
"Whoa, really, I can limp to my car. You really don't have to carry me."
"No need hurting your ankle more. It's not that far anyway."
Sam began to walk toward the parking lot with the woman in his arms.
"I'm Allie, by the way," she said.
"Sam. Nice to meet you."
"The same, Sam." Allie leaned her head into Sam's neck letting her sweat drip onto his skin to be absorbed. "Do you come here often to run?"
"No, just passing through and decided it was a nice day for a run." It took a moment for the toxin to attack Sam and put him under the siren's spell.
"My car is the silver Chevy parked over there," she pointed as they neared the parking lot. Allie pulled a car key from a zippered pocket of her shorts and pressed unlock on the key to open the doors. Before Sam could sit Allie onto her feet, she pulled Sam's head toward her and kissed him, to be sure he was all hers.
Sam did not pull away as she kissed him, instead returned it with a passion of his own. When he opened his eyes, he saw Amelia's face looking up at him and when he blinked several times, it changed slightly and only slightly resembled her. He did not question this because she was his now and would do whatever she wanted.
The siren smiled evilly as she stood on her feet by her car, thinking this was the best catch yet, a hunter, and planned on enjoying this one before sending him out to kill.
A/N: Sam is in trouble now and no one knows he's missing yet. It's going to get intense and dangerous before it gets better. Thanks for taking this journey with me. Reviews would make my day. NC
