At the briefing room, Captain Ham and his men discuss the next mission in the digital world. He hears the billboard shaking.

"Inbound traveller, I repeat, Inbound traveller." said the technician.

"They are persistent." said Jack.

"I think we p*ssed them off." said Ferrel.

"Closing the iris!" said the technician.

The billboard closes as the soldiers point the gun at the closed billboard. The billboard activates even with the doors closed. One of the soldiers sneaks to the closed billboard for further inspection.

"All clear." said the soldier.

"Stand down." ordered Captain Ham.

The billboard's self destruct is set to off. The civilian that was secured previously has a neckache.

"You should go to the infirmary to get checked out." said Ferrel.

The billboard senses for an another inbound traveller.

"Inbound traveller." said the technician. "An another one."

The billboard is set to auto self-destruct which will detonate in three minutes. Ferrel and his men observe a closed billboard.

"It'll detonate in three minutes if there is an another traveller." said Ferrel.

"Well, there is nothing to worry about." said Jack.

At the captain's office, Ferrel shows up to discuss something. Afterwards, he is sent to the prison cell where Alex is. He is with Shoutmon, who is not inside Alex's gun-shaped DigiVice. They are seen meditating.

"Did I interrupt the meditation?" asked Ferrel.

"No." said Alex.

"I heard that Palmon and Terriermon are getting along together." said Ferrel.

"They're cute-looking Digimon." said Shoutmon.

At the infirmary, the civilian known as Kevin, who was mysteriously attacked prior to the evacuation, is seen taking an eye exam, which was the first thing.

"And these headaches are the result of an unexpected attack, prior to the evacuation?" said the doctor.

"Yes, and it's getting worse." said Kevin.

As the doctor examines Kevin's back to see what's inside of him, Kevin attacks him. Kevin is being possessed, as a result of an attack. Kevin snaps the doctor's neck, killing him. At the briefing room, Ferrel and his men are seeing discussing relationships between human and Digimon, but not until Kevin shows up at the embarkation room.

"I saw Kevin here. Get Ferrel, Jack and Captain Ham to the embarkation room now." ordered Sam.

At the embarkation room, Jack, Ferrel, Sam and Captain Ham show up as Kevin stares at the billboard. At the infirmary, Kevin is one of the five beds.

"We have a sick man who is up all night long." said Ferrel.

The other doctor shows up.

"Good evening, sir." said the doctor. "What's your name?"

"Kevin L. Jones." replied Kevin. "I had more than a headache."

"Actually, he's had a blackout." said Ferrel.

"We'll get you an MRI right away." said the doctor.

"Thanks." said Ferrel.

At the briefing room, Captain Ham introduces Alex and Shoutmon to the crew.

"I am Captain Ham, and you must be the purger that Ferrel befriended. Take a seat." said Captain Ham.

Captain Ham interrogates Alex and Shoutmon for information regarding the previous purge. Ferrel joins the interrogation.

"Did I interrupt?" asked Ferrel.

"No no. You are right on time." said Captain Ham.

At the MRI, Kevin is being scanned by the doctor. Jack and Miss May arrives at the elevator. They converse about the previous purge.

"Well, I just can't stop thinking about Hikaru." said Jack. "Probably because she is possessed by Pennywise, leader of the purgers and the one responsible for the terror attacks."

"You just can't let it go." said Miss May.

Miss May goes to the bathroom while Jack continues to walk around the facility. As Jack enters the bedroom, he found a dead body. He gasps.

"It's Kevin. He's the killer." said Jack.

Back at the MRI, the tests are complete. The doctor sees a worm inside Kevin's spine.

"No…" said the doctor.

The doctor enters the MRI scanner.

"We're done Kevin, but you're off duty as of now." said the doctor.

Kevin's eyes glow.

"Attention everyone, to the infirmary now." said the doctor.

Ferrel and his men enter the infirmary, only to discover that Kevin is nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, Kevin enters the briefing room to attack several men and shoving them. He then activates the billboard.

"Kevin, what are you doing?" said Jack.

"Not on my watch!" said Kevin.

Kevin pushes Jack. He then continues with the activation.

Jack stops Kevin from activating the billboard.

"Emergency in the control room." said Jack. "Emergency in the control room, now!"

Ferrel shows up to intervene Kevin, who is taking Jack hostage. Ferrel goes after Kevin and Jack. Kevin pushes Jack to the elevator and closes the door, preventing Ferrel from chasing him any further. Kevin kicks Jack, losing consciousness.

"You sent these men to the emergency room?" asked Captain Ham.

"I didn't." replied Ferrel. "Get the elevator now."

Ferrel and Miss May open the elevator. They see Kevin and Jack. Kevin returns to normal.

"You did this?" said Ferrel.

"He's hurt bad. He needs to be in the infirmary."

"You hurt my ally." said Ferrel.

At the infirmary, Captain Ham and Ferrel found the cause for the hostility of Kevin.

"It's a parasitic worm inside." said Captain Ham.

"Do I have a worm inside me?" asked Kevin.

Ferrel nodded yes.

"It's not your fault, Kevin, it's the worm inside your spine that causes you to attack my allies and my men."

At the prison cell, Alex and Shoutmon foresee what happened along with Captain Ham, Ferrel and the general.

"Is it an emergency?" asked Shoutmon.

"It's not of our concern." said the general.

"May I see the worm inside my abdomen?" asked Alex before he shows it to everyone.

"No." said the general.

"Then we must remove this worm before there will be an another massacre." said Captain Ham.

At the operating room, Kevin is seen strapped to a bed with several men. Ferrel, Alex, Shoutmon and Captain Ham enters the room. He is seen grunting in agony.

"The pain is too much, captain." said Kevin.

"We are doing everything we can to stop this from happening." said Captain Ham.

"Don't you give me the general crap. I told you to cut that worm off from me." said Kevin.

Sam, Miss May and Pete shows up and point the guns at Kevin. Kevin becomes hostile again and attempt to release the restraints. Ferrel and Alex restrain Kevin.

"Release me now before I will kill all of you!" yelled Kevin.

Pete summons Gatomon but she almost peforms Tail Scratch at Kevin.

"Hold your fire." said Captain Ham.

Gatomon stops the attack.

"That was close." said Gatomon. "Kevin must have been hostile all day."

She is then downloaded back to Pete's DigiVice.

"I want that worm be extracted from Kevin's body. Is that clear?" said Captain Ham.

"Yes." said the doctor.

At the briefing room, Palmon and Terriermon who was summoned at the time joins the discussion regarding the removal of a worm. At the infirmary, we see Alex's abdomen has a worm inside it. Shoutmon observes a worm.

"You did great, Kevin." said Terriermon.

"Thank you, Terriermon." said Ferrel.

Ferrel puts away Terriermon to his DigiVice.

At the operating room, Kevin undergoes surgery to remove the worm inside his body. We see Meicoomon, Impmon and Ferrel watching the surgery on one side, with Captain Ham, Jack and Gaomon on the other side.

"This is going to be intense. Are you ready?" asked the surgeon.

"I have something to say." said Kevin. "Meicoomon, Impmon, wake me up when it's all over."

"You have my word." said Meicoomon.

The surgeon applies general anesthesia on Kevin to begin the operation. Jack and Miss May are also at the observatory in the operation room.

"I hope we don't get the same fate as Hikaru." said Jack.

"Well see." said Miss May.

Twenty minutes later, the worm is taken out of Kevin's spinal cord.

"It's a success." said Captain Ham. "Well done everyone."

Back at the infirmary, Kevin is hospitalized. Ferrel gives him water.

At the captain's office, the general shows up regarding Alex's offer and the success of the surgery.

"The operation was a total success. Congratulations." said the general.

"I couldn't go on without you guys." said Captain Ham.

Back at the infirmary, Kevin greets Alex and Shoutmon by shaking hands. Kevin's eyes glow again and becomes hostile despite the fact that the worm is removed. He then attacks Alex and Shoutmon.

"Alex, no!" cried Shoutmon.

Kevin is at the control room, attacking several men and activating the billboard.

Ferrel and Captain Ham notice the billboard.

"I thought we took care of the operation." said Captain Ham.

Alex and Shoutmon saw two unconscious bodies. They go to the embarkation room to find an activated billboard. Shoutmon prevents Kevin from going to the billboard.

"You can leave your friend right there." said Shoutmon.

"And who are you?" said Kevin.

"I'm Shoutmon and I serve Alex." replied Shoutmon.

Shoutmon engage in the fight with Kevin. Ferrel and Captain Ham saw what was happening.

"It's Kevin. He's back in creating havoc." said Ferrel.

"Set the auto destruct to off." said Captain Ham. "Then open the glass door."

The auto destruct is set to off and the glass door is open. As the glass door opens, Captain Ham and Ferrel saw Shoutmon shoving Kevin to the billboard.

"Shoutmon, stop! Stop!" yelled Ferrel from the microphone. "That's enough!"

"Wormhole disengaged." said the technician.

Kevin slowly dies after the worm was taken away from his body.

"I did it…" said Shoutmon. "I did it…"

Alex shows up.

"Alex, you are right. After the surgery, he attacked me and I fought back." said Shoutmon.

Several hours later, everything is back to normal. Ferrel along with Jack, Miss May, Pete and Sam as well as the former purger Alex go to the billboard on the first mission.

"Listen up everyone, we have the first mission with a new comrade and the former purger Alex." said Captain Ham.

"Alex, reporting for duty sir." said Alex.

Ferrel and his men approach the active billboard for the first mission that takes place in the outskirts of Japan.
