Authors note- Since they all appear around the same time, I'll just name the 40 thieves' members here. Jules the hedgehog is Cassim, Scourge is Saluk, the other members are Mephiles, Grounder, Blade the shark, Zazz, three robotized hedgehogs called Metal, Neo and Mecha together there called the robians. Storm and Wave are also members, but they are new characters.
The Chaotix have finally returned to the agency in Station Square and after a good day's work in Shamar, all Vector wanted to do was sit down and relax, but someone won't make it easy for him. "Vector, Vector, Vector, Vec-" "WHAT CHARMY!?" "You said when we got back you would tell me the third part of the story" Charmy said holding up the sceptre. Vector wasn't too keen on that "I'm tired, I'll tell you tomorrow" before Charmy could respond Espio stopped mediating "You did tell him when we got back, a person's word is the most important thing to a ninja". "I'm not a ninja, Espio" "Believe me, I know, however there is also the fact that Charmy was able to double our money from that bet of his. I think you owe him". Vector didn't have an argument for that "Okay, fine" Charmy was excited "Yes, so what is it this time, is Sonic going to fight a dragon, or maybe Infinite's still alive, or-". Vector took the sceptre from Charmy "No, this time sonic will learn about his past, while also planning for the future".
In the desert a hooded figure with glowing red eyes was watching as a crowd begins entering the city of Shamar. The man led a line of camels towards the city, each one carrying baskets that were hiding people inside. At the entrance to the city, Fang the Sniper was watching everyone who was coming through when an elderly echidna stopped in front of him "Oh, never in all my years have I seen the streets filled with such hustle and bustle and assorted commotion". Fang could tell immediately who this was, but he decided to play along "Our princess is getting married" the echidna looked happy at this "Oh, really? Who's the lucky prince?". "He isn't a prince, although he did have a rather annoying song about being one" the echidna looked offended by this and turned into Knuckles "Hey, I wrote that". Fang just smugly smiled at him "Fang, you're no fun, I'll go somewhere else" Knuckles then flew off.
Knuckles- There's a party here in Shamar,
There's excitement in the air
(Giant Knuckles holds a snow globe of Shamar when Tails flies past)
Tails- People pouring in from near and far
(Tails flies through the city wearing a tux)
'Cause the word is spreading we're gonna have a wedding'!
Knuckles- There's a party here in Shamar,
Everybody will be there
(Knuckles stops one of the elephants in the crowd and gives it a pedicure)
So if you're a pauper or a shah,
Do somethin' with your hair!
(He hugs the two ducks that were riding the elephant before giving them both afros)
Shadow- You mustn't wear an outfit that's naughty
(Shadow yells at a female bat that's standing on a balcony)
Knuckles- A turban that's unravelling just won't do
(He pulls off some random guys turban)
No earrings that are tasteless or gaudy
(He turns into an earring a woman is wearing)
You're gonna look gorgeous when I get through
(He turns back to normal and scares the lady away)
Shadow- There's a party here in Shamar
So we're goin' to paint the town
(Shadow is painting the city)

Crowd- Sonic's gettin' married, and it's gonna be
The wedding of the century
(Tails is passing out newspapers of the wedding)
Tails- My buddy's gettin' married, and you're gonna see
Just how much we can do!
(Shadow covers a building in wedding decorations)
Knuckles- You've heard of your safari, bar mitzvahs,
(He's dressed like a rabbi)
You've all been to a luau, or a sweet sixteen
(He transforms into a statue)
Shadow- Well, none of them compare to what this is!
(He shows a plate that has a pig on it)
Knuckles- The food will be disgusting, by evening you'll be busting!
(The pig is revealed to be Knuckles)
Three women- There's a party here in Shamar,
And it's got us all aglow
(The three of them walk past Knuckles who now looks like Rocky)
Knuckles- If a street rat could've come so far,
Maybe I could do it
Shadow- Sure, there's nothin' to it!
(Shadow jumps in front of him)
Snobby woman- There's a party here in Shamar
But we're not sure that we'll go
(She is singing in her house which Tails enters after hearing her)
For although the bride is lah-tee-dah,
The groom is awfully low
(Tails pushes her away)
Shadow- And now we take you down to the palace
Where everyone has celebrated all night long
(Shadow is dressed like a news reporter)
Knuckles- Without Infinite and all of his malice,
Everybody's happy!
(Knuckles wearing an Infinite mask appears behind him)
Shadow- What could possibly go wrong?
(Shadow pushes him away)
Thieves- There's a party here in Shamar
And we're gonna rob 'em blind!
(The thieves all poke their heads out of the baskets)
Hooded man- While they're all munching caviar
Create a small disturbance, I'll sneak up from behind
(He watches the entrance to the palace)
Jet- There's a party here in Shamar
And the loot is pourin' in!
(Jet is at the palace entrance collecting gifts)
I like this wedding stuff so far!
Maybe if I'm pleasant,
I'll get to keep a present!
(He looked normal, apparently not caring about the dress code)
Omega- We've ordered just a few tasteful flowers
(Omega wears a small red bow tie just under his face)
And valets who'll carefully park for you
The bridesmaids have been dressing for hours
(Omega didn't seem too concerned about anything)
Blaze- Girls, you look just lovely, and so grown-up too
(Blaze is wearing a dress as she looks at Amy's cousins who are the flower girls)
Silver- There's a party here in Shamar
(Silver burst through the entrance to the hall wearing a tux and holding a notepad)
Guests are filling up the room
But there's something missing...
Yes, aha!
The King- Where is the groom?
(The King looks around realising Sonic isn't there)
Sonic and Tails where going through their old, abandoned home when Sonic looking sad pulled out a box from a hiding place. "I didn't know you still had that" Tails said but before Sonic could reply "Hello, someone's going to be late for their own wedding!" Knuckles appeared looking worried. "Hold on, Knuckles. There's something I need for the wedding" he opened the box to reveal a dagger. Shadow appeared along with Omega and looked concerned "Um, Sonic, bringing a weapon is never a good start to a marriage". Tails hit him over the head "It belonged to his dad". Knuckles jumped in "Your dad, you've never told us about him. Quick, I need to tell the caterer, what does he like chicken or seabass". Sonic looked solemn "He's not coming, he died a long time ago". Knuckles froze from embarrassment when Shadow hit him over the had "Sorry". Omega stepped forward "I never had a father. I was built by an insane genius who created me to slaughter his enemies, I understand how you feel" everyone stared at Omega for a second before moving on. "It's okay, guy's. I never knew him, maybe if I did, I'd feel ready for this", Tails looked concerned at his friend "Sonic, are you getting cold feet?". "Well, it's just, you remember our lives before this Tails? Stealing and running from Fang. But now I'm taking a huge step, it's a completely different world".
A microphone appeared in front of Sonic while Shadow and Knuckles were sitting down wearing headphones pretending to be radio hosts. "Today's topic, fears of the future. Shadow, what have you got?" "Well, today I have Sonic the hedgehog from Shamar on the line. Sonic please share with us". Sonic thought he might as well vent "I've never had a dad to show me how to raise a family". "No role model, dig a little deeper" Knuckles told Sonic "It's just I don't know anything about raising a family, what if I'm no good at it. If he was here then I might-". Tails put his hand on his friends shoulder "Sonic, if your dad was here, he'd be a happy as the rest of us are for you" Sonic looked out towards the palace like he had done so many times before "I just wish he could see this".
Sonic- There's a party here in Shamar
And the party's all for me
Just look, you guys, at where we are,
And how our dreams have come to be!
Amy- There's a party here in Shamar
(Amy in her wedding dress looks out over her balcony)
And I can't believe it's true
After all this waiting, here we are
We'll finally get so say, "I do!"
Sonic- I never, ever had a real family
Amy- I never, ever had this kind of friend
Both- Someone who could just understand me...
Jet- Hey, c'mon, Sonic, this mush has gotta end!
(Jet flies in front of Sonic on his board with Silver hovering next to him)
Silver- There's a party here in Shamar
Knuckles- And it's starting right away
Shadow- Let's get you dressed, 'cause you're the star!
(Shadow puts Sonic in his Prince outfit)
The three of them- Hey, c'mon, it's your wedding day!
(Sonic jumps out of the hole in the wall onto Omega in his hoverboard form. He flies off and the others begin to follow him)
Crowd- Sonics gettin' married, and it's gonna be
The wedding of the century
(Sonic flies over the streets)
Amazing how Sonic could've come so far...
(He flies over the palace walls)
The three genies- They're finally gettin' married!
The king and Blaze- They're finally gettin' married!
(The two of them watch Sonic fly towards the hall)
Thieves- They're finally gettin' married!
(The thieves pop their heads out of the baskets, much to the confusion of the hooded figure)
Jet- Look at all these presents!
(Jet hovers above the pile of gifts looking very happy)
Amy- We're finally getting married!
(Amy looks out her balcony)
Tails and Omega- You're finally gettin' married!
(Tails sounds more enthusiastic than Omega)
Sonic- I'm finally gettin' married!
Choir- They're finally gettin' married
(The choir is made up of Shadow and Knuckles clones, with Silver conducting)
At the party in Sham-a-a-ar!
(Sonic lands at the front of the hall and Jet shakes his hand)
Such a sight to see
Come on, go with me
To the party here in Shamar!
Silver tries to keep the song going "Yeah, the party. We got a party, oh, yeah" "Um, Silver" Blaze comes over, looking slightly embarrassed and puts her hand on his shoulder. This stops him long enough to realise that everyone is staring at him and he laughs nervously "Haha, that's enough" they both walk up to the hall.
The hooded figure led the camels into the palace stables and when they were out of sight the 39 other thieves tore there way out of there baskets, one of the thieves a green hedgehog with a leather jacket looked angry and walked up to the figure. "Why do you get to walk around in the sun while I suffocate in a basket?" "Someone has to keep a level head, Scourge" "Someone isn't going to have a head if this is another wild goose chase" the hedgehog replied getting right in his leaders face. Suddenly a purple swallow got between them "We don't have time for this Scourge, the oracle will be here" "Yes, this time I'm sure of it" the hooded figure added.
In the hall Sonic was at the alter when Silver came up to him looking worried "Bad news, Sonic, the boutonnieres don't match with the cummerbunds" Sonic looked awkwardly at the crowd who were watching "Silver, don't you think it's a little late for that?". Silver noticed the crowd "I'm not good at this am I?" he said before Blaze pulled him back into the crowd. Knuckles and Shadow entered the hall, both holding trumpets that they began to play as Tails runs up to Omega who surprisingly picks him up and lets him sit on his shoulder "Don't think this will be common". Behind Knuckles and Shadow were Amy's cousins and then finally King Rose who was sitting on a chair that was being carried by the guards. When they reached the front of the hall, the guards lowered the Kings chair and he walked over to Sonic who respectfully bowed to him. The King looked amused by this "In a few minutes, you'll be my son in law, I think a simple hello is okay now" Sonic smiled at this.
Silver used his powers to carry along carpet across the hall for the bride to walk on, people began to get in front of Omega and Tails, the former turned one of his arms into a gatling gun "No Omega you can't shoot them" Tails whispered in a stern tone. "Then how are we supposed to see? You cannot fly for very long and by boosters create too much noise" as if to answer, Shadow used magic to lift the pair slightly above the crowd so they can see "Thank you, but I still think my idea was better". The doors of the entrance then began to slowly open and revealed Amy who smiled at Sonic "Wow" was all he could say. She began to walk towards the alter and was followed by Fang who was making sure no one in the crowd tried anything. Amy passed Tails who gave her a nervous wave that she returned. She then walked past Blaze who looked on the verge of tears, she quickly gave her best friend a hug before re-entering the crowd. Amy then walked to her father who looked sad "I never thought this day would come" Amy smiled at him "A year ago this was all you wanted me to do, father" the king laughed then hugged his daughter. Fang walked past the two of them and stood next to Sonic and whispered, "Do you remember what I told you when I found out you where together?". Sonic kept his face blank hoping that no one would notice him responding "Yeah, you said you would kill me if I hurt her" "That still stands" Fang replied, making Sonic nervous. Fang instead of taking a position as a guard as Sonic expected then walked into the crowd and stood next to a female wolf and her two children, Sonic knew Fang had a family but he had never seen them before, he was surprised how differently Fang started acting around them, you could probably never tell he was captain of the guards.
