In the morning Jules along with Jet and Tails where waiting at the top of the cliff when they spotted Sonic flying towards them on the transformed Omega "Hop on, dad". Jules didn't look happy "No way, E-series are designed to shoot you, not fly you" "Don't be afraid it's fun" Jules was getting annoyed "I am not afraid, now get of that thing before you break your neck". They landed on the cliff "I trust Omega with my life" "Although if you keep making remarks like that, you shouldn't trust me" Omega said to Jules making Sonic give a nervous laugh. "We'll take horses, they were good enough for my father and his father before him" Omega turned into a robot horse for Sonic to ride while Jules rode an actual horse and they headed to Shamar with Jet and Tails following on Jet's extreme gear. Little did they know that as they left Fang with an army of soldiers had just made it to the river "This is the spot men" "But there's nothing here" one of the guards asked Fang confused. Fang had a smug look on his face and yelled "OPEN SESAME!" the entrance to Forty Thieves Lair began to open.
Sonic Jules and the others made it to the palace courtyard with everything looking repaired "Looks like the genies got everything done" Jules was surprised by this "Genies? You mean the ones from the cave of wonders. I've been looking for that for years, how did you find it?". Jet rolled his eyes "Don't ask, it's just to painful", Silver then flew down in front of them "Sonic, you're back and your front, you're both here". He pulled Sonic into a hug "Uh, thanks Silver but listen" Silver then turned very intense "Security tight, we're having a small wedding, immediate family only. No low life's except maybe Jet. Look at this". A giant robot then appeared that looked kind of like Knuckles with his voice "You have violated perimeter of the Sonic and Amy wedding, prepare to be vaporized" it fired a laser out of it's hand that just missed Sonic.
Blaze then walked up behind Sonic looking just as enthusiastic about guarding the place "It's armed and dangerous, I'd love to see one of those forty thieves get with in an inch of the wedding". Jules laughed at this which Blaze noticed "I'm sorry, who are you?" "The King of Thieves". Silver hearing this panicked and pulled out a walkie talkie "All units we have a code red" metal walls began to form around the courtyard as dozens of Shadows carrying machine guns began to surround Jules. Sonic looked more irritated that worried by this. Knuckles then had an army of duplicates all wearing kilts and playing the bagpipes "Come on, boys, follow me". Knuckles then had and army of cavalry men charge and finally a plane dropped multiple Knuckles out each one having something to say on the way down "Geronimo" "Navaho" "Pocahontas".
The Shadow and Knuckles clones surrounded Jules, Silver was holding a very large rock above his head and Blaze was ready to burn him, Omega not wanting to feel left out also pointed his gatling guns at him. "Do not attempt to move or we will be shooting each other" the real Knuckles yelled into a megaphone, "Guys, listen" Sonic was trying to push past the duplicates. "Back off Sonic, this guy's the biggest criminal alive" one of the Shadows said but Sonic finally got past and looked nervous "Guys, I'd like you to meet my father" the four of them were surprised by this "Stand down men, smoke 'em if you got 'em" Knuckles told the duplicates who all disappeared Silver threw the rock away but Blaze still looked ready to fight. Knuckles advanced on Jules looking vey intense "If you're Sonics dad and the King of Thieves, I just have one thing to ask you" Jules stood his ground "Yeah, what's that?" Knuckle turned into a waiter "Are you wanting the chicken or the seabass?". Sonic laughed "Come on, dad, I can't wait for you to meet Amy and the King" Blaze however stopped them "Sonic, can I talk to you for a second". The two of them walked out of earshot "I'm beginning to think you enjoy lying to people, are seriously going to bring him into the palace?" she said with a stern look on her face.
Sonic looked worried "Blaze, listen I know what he's done, but he's my father, I know he can change, please I don't want to lose him again". She was about to say something then sighed, Sonic's words reminded Blaze of something in her own past and her face suddenly became very sad , "My parents abandoned me when they found out about my powers. If it weren't for the Kings kindness, I never would have made it". She looked right in Sonic's eyes "I know what it's like to want a real family… I won't say anything, just please keep an eye on him" "I will, thank you" Sonic smiled and hugged Blaze before the two walked back to the others. Sonic saw Silver staring at Jules "What are you doing?" Sonic asked "Well, we were just thinking that maybe we should get rid of the criminal mastermind look" Jules looked annoyed "What's wrong with how I look?" he began to walk away but Sonic stopped him. "Here you're not the King of Thieves, you're my dad" Jules looked hesitant "I've had more practice being the first one". Shadow appeared behind Jules and was smiling "Oh, come on now, enough of this dark past stuff, believe me I know to much about that" Silver then jumped in "Yeah, let's try something new".
Silver- It's a big, bright, beautiful future
(Silver was at a table examining a map)
Thank your lucky stars you're alive!
(He watches Jules fly through space on a star)
Knuckles- Ya got someone special to talk to
(Knuckles is a constellation watching Jules)
Shadow- A friend that you can trust for life!
(Shadow is doing the same)
Silver- You've been on your own
With no family ties
(Silver hands Jules an actual tie)
Shadow- But those solo days are done
You'll be two of a kind
(Shadow pushes Sonic towards Jules)
Knuckles- Spending quality time
Together
As father and son!
(Knuckles ties them together with the tie)
Shadow- Buildin' model ships
(A giant ship appears)
Knuckles- Takin' fishin' trips
(Him and Jules are riding on a giant fish)
Blaze- Workin' hand in hand
(Blaze hesitantly joins in)
Paintin' the palace, mowin' the sand
(Shadow gives Jules paint and Sonic a mower)
Knuckles- First at ten-to-go
(Knuckles is dressed like a referee)
With your daddy-o
(Sonic and Jules are now playing American football)
Shadow- Once you break the ice
(Shadow breaks the ground around Sonic and Jules causing them to fall)
Knuckles- You can postulate paternal advice
(They fall past Knuckles who is now Dr Robotnik)
See, you're traveling at the speed of light,
that's the theory of relatives!
(They land on a planet ring, launching the in another direction)
Silver- It's a fine, fantabulous future
(They land in a futuristic hovercraft being driven by Silver)
I see fruit on the family tree
(The three of them are dropped to the ground)
You'll be great as a grumpy ol' grandpa
(Silver acts unconvincingly like an old man)
Knuckles- Bouncing babies on your knee!
(Three baby Knuckles land on Jules knee)
Blaze- You can fall asleep on the comfy couch
(Blaze was now committed to make this work)
After playin' one-on-one
(She throws Sonic a ball)
Silver- Dreamin' back-to-back,
(Jules and Sonic play basketball and pass Silver)
Knuckles- That you walloped the Shaq
(They pass Knuckles)
Shadow- Together
(They pass Shadow)
All three- As father and son!
(Sonic gets the ball into the basket)
Jules- May be a bumpy ride
(Jules is on a bumper car that looks like Knuckles)
Sonic- We'll make it side-by-side
(Sonic appears next to him in a bumper car that looks like Shadow)
Knuckles- Good afternoon, I'll be your travel guide
(There now both on a rollercoaster and drop)
Move over, Sonic,
Make room for daddy!
You got a whole new shoulder to cry on
(Knuckles is now on Jules shoulder)
Silver- Take a chance, now give it a spin
(Silver spins a wheel that has Sonic on it)
Shadow- You've had chums for pallin' around with
(Shadow makes duplicates of the forty thieves)
But you never had a friend like him!
(He gestures to Sonic)
Knuckles- Put your checkered past behind you now
No more livin' on the run
(Jules runs from a searchlight)
Blaze- Face the big, bright, beautiful future together
(Blaze pulls Jules into a dance before throwing him to Sonic)
Knuckles- Together
(Silver removes all the forty thieves' symbols from Jules cloak)
Shadow- Together
(Shadow changes the cloak to look fancier)
Knuckles- Together
(Knuckles makes the cloak brighter blue)
All 4- As father and son!
(Jules hugs his son)
