And we're finally back to Destiny. Been a hot minute, eh? Let me tell you, the wait.. Was not worth it. Seriously, I've done next to nothing with this series after I cancelled it. So, sorry for the wait to my readers and Shy911, who really read my D2 series and reviewed it (as of writing this) as well as another friend of mine's story "Destiny 2: Lost Light". Really, thanks. Anyways, enough with that, back into the beginning of Destiny: Rising Legend.

Awakening

3rd Person

Under the light of the evening sun, there was nothing but shadows of what the Golden age used to be. Collapsed bridges, multiple abandoned and rusted cars, and skeletons were all that could be seen up to the outer wall. Amongst all this, a small diamond-shaped light hovered around the area, stopping and making little beeps every now and then to 'scan' the ancient bones, looking for something, something important. It ventured onward, unknowing of the danger lurking in the distance.

"Ouch." A female voice came from the light when it scanned another skeleton in a car, which looked like they didn't go in the best way. She flew around more, reaching a small hill. She looked around again, looking almost ready to give up.

Until she found it. What she was looking for, that is. Her eye lit up, not in joy just yet, but hope. "I-Is it possible?" The little light gave the long dead man another scan. Then, her shell opened, revealing a round core with what could be called little craters, like a small moon of sorts. She stared down at it more as the pieces of her diamond shell rotated around her, then her hopes were rewarded. What she said next sounded like an eternity of waiting had come to an end.

"There you are!"

Suddenly, the pieces that hovered around her sped up tremendously for a moment before they closed back into place around the light, then let out a burst of blinding light, directed at the bones.

She had found her Guardian.

Guardian's POV

Nothing. That's all there was, and all there wasn't. Just, darkness. Was there anything to begin with? Such a question couldn't be answered then. But when I saw an ever-growing light in front of me, I just.. Reached out, as if on instinct. The light disappeared, but something felt different.

..That's it, I felt. Then, slowly, my eyes slowly -and painfully- opened as I heard a muffled voice calling out to me.

"Guardian.." Who? Am I 'Guardian'? The voice called out again. "Guardian? Eyes up, Guardian." Once my vision returned, the first thing that stuck out was a white diamond hovering in front of me, just staring. I tried to speak to it, get any one word out, but I strained to find my voice, and just ended up with a tired groan. When the object saw this, it immediately celebrated.

"It worked! You're alive! Yes! I finally found my Guardian! Oh, you don't know how long I've been looking for you." The diamond regained its composure as it started talking again. "I'm a Ghost. Actually now I'm your Ghost." As she spoke, I began to slowly move my arms and fingers around as they cracked around like they hadn't moved in centuries. "And, well, you've been dead a long time. So you're going to see a lot of things you won't understand." As she finished her statement with a beep, I felt my voice return to me.

"Things like- what?" I asked cautiously, groaning. Before the 'Ghost' could answer, we heard a loud roar in the distance. Her eye shrunk, indicating that she was afraid of what was approaching.

"This is Fallen territory, we aren't safe here! I have to get you to the City, but how?" She looked back to me again as she hovered over to me.

"Hold still." Before I could ask, she suddenly disappeared into thin air.

"Wh-whoa, where did...?" Before I could finish, I heard the beeps in my head as the Ghost spoke in my head.

"Don't worry, I'm still with you. We need to move, fast!" She frantically said. I wasn't about to argue. Hell, she knew more than I did right now. Then again, I was apparently dead up until a minute ago.

My legs struggled to pick me up, but I got full control pretty quick. I ran through the graveyard of skeletons, cars and others directly to a massive wall.

/End…

So yeah, this wasn't as long as I wanted, but I couldn't think of how to write the rest of this first chapter and I really wanted to get this out before December. Hope you enjoyed this, I'll try to work on updating this more when I can. Until then, I'll see you all later.
