At the entrance to Pisa, Italy, Ferrel and his men found a village overrun by purger.
"I have been there before." said Alex.
"What?" asked Shoutmon.
Miss May found food that is fresh. Ferrel and his men continue to investigate the village. Inside, they enter a museum.
"There's no one there." said Miss May.
"Freeze!" ordered the purger.
"Hands up!" ordered the other purger.
Ferrel and his men drop the weapons. The purgers examine the visitors. Alex is being intercepted.
"Jaffa!" cried the purger. "Hands up!"
"It's the same guy who killed my mother!" said the other purger.
"Tell him you are peaceful." said Ferrel.
The purgers cease the interception. They go outside with the purgers and villagers showing up.
"Should we head back?" asked Ferrel.
"Not with the purgers present." said Sam.
Sam summons Veemon and Hawkmon.
"Hawkmon, we should go back." said Veemon.
"He knows that Alex is a Jaffa." said Hawkmon.
In a flashback, Alex killed the purger's mother, with an aid of Pennywise.
"Now do you remember me?" asked the purger.
"I did it…" said Alex.
"Take him away." ordered the purger.
"No, he's my friend!" cried Shoutmon.
Shoutmon is also imprisoned.
"They are guilty. They should pay for his crimes." said the purger.
Ferrel summons Impmon and Meicoomon.
"I'm staying with Impmon." said Meicoomon.
"Then we should keep an eye on Alex and Shoutmon." said Impmon.
The priests appear and observe Alex and Shoutmon. Ferrel puts away Meicoomon and Impmon. At the trial, Shoutmon and Alex are being accused of taking on a mission that involves a mass murder between Pennywise and the purgers.
"I'm sorry." said the purger. "I let your anger control me."
The purger is given a staff.
"I hereby order that the punishment is death." said the purger.
"What is this?!" asked Ferrel. "Pennywise was working with Alex and Shoutmon to carry out on a mass murdering mission."
"That's correct." said the purger.
"Your honor…" said Jack incompletely.
"Hand him over." ordered the purger. "Are you the father's murderer?"
"Yes." said Alex.
The trial is over. Ferrel is talking to Alex and Shoutmon.
"Please, Shoutmon, are you trying to commit suicide?" asked Ferrel.
"No." said Shoutmon. "My orders are to stop a purge in all areas."
Miss May and her men comfort Shoutmon and Alex. The villagers show up for a second trial. Later, Ferrel is talking to Jack.
"What happened to your sister?" asked Ferrel.
"Her name is Hikaru. And she was captured by Pennywise's henchmen who uses her to be his aide." replied Jack.
"If I get her back then it will be a deadly race against time." said Ferrel.
They continue the discussion. At the village, Jack leaves the trial and summons Gaomon.
"You must be Gaomon." said the villager.
"Nice to meet you." said Gaomon.
"I heard by Ferrel that my sister Hikaru was captured by Pennywise." said Jack.
Back at the prison cell, Alex and Shoutmon are inside the cell and Jack is talking to them. In the flashback, Pennywise orders Alex to kill one of the civilians.
"I said kill one of them." said Pennyside.
Alex kills a man whose legs are amputated in the previous purge. The child mourns his death. Alex and Shoutmon cannot stop thinking about the death. Ferrel and his men leave to the billboard. They need more weapons to extract both Shoutmon and Alex at the same time. Jack is at the third trial. At the briefing room, Sam, Pete, Ferrel and Miss May are talking to Captain Ham.
"I was confused." said Captain Ham.
"They took Shoutmon and Alex prisoners." said Ferrel.
"Alex and Shoutmon were former purgers." said Captain Ham. "We don't pursue anyone."
"Captain Ham, I have spent more than a year to stop the purge and saving the world." said Ferrel.
"That's enough, Ferrel." said Captain Ham.
"Captain, sir. We don't have time to be staying in the home forever. They are still out there." said Miss May.
At the prison cell, the villagers put on a tattoo, getting ready for a painless execution for Alex. Jack is present. At the briefing room, Captain Ham received bad news.
"Listen, the president has unauthorized the rescue mission." said Captain Ham.
Back at Pisa, Miss May, Sam, Pete and Ferrel enter only to discover that the village is destroyed and overrun by purgers. The purger sees a shadow.
"They found us." said Ferrel.
Ferrel summons Guilmon and performs Pyro Sphere on the purger. Meicoomon picks up the weapons. The villagers attack the purgers. At the trial, the purgers killed several people and took others hostage.
"Go." ordered Alex.
Alex breaks free and stabs the purger in the stomach, killing him. Shoutmon attacks the purgers from behind.
"Heads up!" yelled Shoutmon before attacking the purger. "You mess with the gun, you are going to get killed."
Alex is injured in the fight.
"I accept my punishment." said Alex.
"I was accepted to be my punishment." said the villager. "You have killed the purger. I suggest you take your friend and go."
The villager gives the staff to Alex and Shoutmon.
"Welcome back, buddy." said Ferrel.
