Best Laid Plans-Ch 6
Scott was pacing back and forth across the room as he waited patiently for Kevin and Savannah to arrive with the money that they owed him. As he paced he couldn't believe that he had actually tried to kill two people, and FBI agents at that and for what, well that what was 125,000.00 dollars.
Outside Kevin and Savannah approached the door to the old house, Kevin said, "are you sure that we need to do this"?, Savannah said, "yes Kev I'm sure because if we don't take care of him now he's going to mess everything up for us and we don't want that right"?, Kevin blew out a deep breath and said, "right sweetheart, right" as he raised his hand to knock on the door.
Scott walked across the room and opened the door and said, "that didn't take you two very long", Savannah said, "we came to give you what you earned, what you deserve" as they walked past him and on into the room.
Scott shut the door and then turned to see a gun in his face, he raised his hands and said, "Savannah, Kevin, come on guys, you don't want to do this to me". Kevin said, "no, you're right we don't want to do this but you've given us no other choice man, I'm sorry".
Savannah said, "if only you'd been able to keep your nerve for just a little while longer Scott but noooooo you got afraid and now it's going to cost you". Scott said, "p p please you don't have to do this", Savannah said, "ohhhh but I want to" and she squeezed the trigger three times.
They watched as his body hit the floor and Kevin said, "the silencer was a good idea baby", Savannah said, "well I'm not just a pretty face ya know"?, Kevin kissed her lips and said, "oh now that I know, I definitely know baby, you are sooo soooo much more" as they turned around and headed back out of the house and down the path that led to their car.
At the hospital Dave, Hotch and the others were sitting vigil in Dereks room when one of the nurses stepped inside and said, "Ms. Garcia has been brought to her room". JJ said, "I'm going to go spend some time with Garcie", Reid and Emily said, "me too" in unison as they turned and headed out into the hall.
As they walked back into her room JJ sighed and said, "Garcie they say that people can hear when they're in a coma, I don't know if you are in a coma or anything but please hear me when I say that we love you and need you to come back to us".
Reid said, "Morgan is doing okay, he's got a broken arm and some cracked ribs and a concussion but we all know how hard headed he is". Emily grinned and said, "and I know that the second he wakes up his first words are going to be baby girl".
JJ said, "he does love you Garcie, he always has", Reid said, "he was just afraid to tell you the truth, he was afraid that he wasn't good enough for you and I'm sure that you being hard headed too think that about yourself but I can tell you that the two of you belong together and nothing or nobody is going to change that, not ever".
The three friends pulled up chairs beside her bed and watched her chest rise and fall and rise and fall as the sound of the ventilator filled the room. JJ reached out and touched her hand and said, "when you get better how about we have a day of pampering, you, me, Em, Fran, Sarah and Desi, just a day for us"?, Reid said, "I'm sure she'll love that Jayje".
Emily put her hand on Penelopes arm and said, "we all love you PG and we need you to come back to us, okay, please come back to us, it's not the same without you here". JJ said, "you have to fight like you've never fought before and I know that you can do it because you Penelope Grace Garcia are a fighter".
In Dereks room Hotch is talking to Dave when his cell starts going off, he pulls it from his belt and says, "Hotchner" and seconds later he said, "when"?, then "are you sure it's the same man"?, he then said, "we're on our way, thanks for calling".
When the call ended Dave said, "that didn't sound good", Hotch said, "it wasn't, that was the locals they found the man that hit Derek and Penelopes SUV". Fran said, "that's good news", Hotch said, "it would have been if he wasn't dead".
Fran said, "dead, what happened to him"?, Hotch said, "he was shot three times in the chest", Dave kissed Fran on the cheek and said, 'we'll be back soon Bella". Fran said, "I'll update as soon as we have any changes from either of them", Dave and Hotch nodded their heads and turned and disappeared out of the room leaving Fran and the girls alone with her son.
