When Tonya was finished Derek said, "so what you're saying is that their is a 50-50 chance that she could lose this baby"?, Tonya nodded her head and said, "yes, but, rest assured that we are doing everything in our power to make sure that she doesn't". Derek said, "thank you for telling me everything Tonya, I appreciate it".
Tonya said, "you're welcome" and then before she turned to walk away Penelope said, "excuse me Tonya" and Tonya said, "yes Penelope"? and Penelope said, "right now the main goal is to keep her stress level down right"?, Tonya said, "yes, because the more stress that is put on Savannah, the more stress is put on the baby".
Penelope sighed and said, "thank you", Tonya said, "you're very welcome", she then looked at Derek and said, "we will keep you updated on Savannah and the babies progress". Derek said, "thank you", she weakly smiled and then turned around and headed out into the hall.
Derek looked at Penelope and said, "stop it", Penelope said, "stop what"?, Derek said, "I can see those wheels cranking in that big beautiful brain of yours and the answer is no". She said, "what are you talking about"?, Derek said, "I know you sweetness and you are going to try to cool things off with me so that more stress isn't put on Savannah and the baby and the answer is no".
She said, "Derek I" and he put his hand on hers and gently squeezed it and said, "I'm not losing you for a baby that may or may not even be mine, you are the most important person in my life, you sweetness, you". Penelope smiled and said, "and you are the most important person in my life to handsome but we have to think about that innocent child, he or she has to come first".
Derek said, "I'm not giving up on you, on us just because of the complications with the pregnancy, that's just not fair and it's not right", their attention turned toward the door as their family walked through the door and Reid said, "what's not fair"?, Derek looked at his family and started filling them in on everything that Tonya had just told them.
When he was through Sarah said, "I hate to hear that she could lose the baby don't get me wrong but I still think that everything is falling right into place for her". Derek and the others listened as Sarah said, "she knows that it's over between the two of you that you are with Penelope now and it's killing her Derek".
She continued by saying, "and what's the best way to get back into your life"?, Derek said, "to have problems with the baby but she didn't know", Sarah said, "didn't she brother, she's a doctor too and she had to know the risks in doing what she's doing". Fran said, "my heart is breaking to hear about the risks to that innocent child but I agree with your sister".
Everybody listened as Fran said, "I love you son, I love you and your sisters with all of my heart and as a mother part of me feels for Savannah and the baby but". Derek finished his moms thought by saying, "you think Savannah is playing me to cause trouble between me and baby girl to get us to split up"?, their family all nodded their heads and said, "yes" in unison.
Reid said, "she knows that Penelope would never stand between you and your child and she's milking it for all it's worth", Derek looked at Penelope and said, "nothing Savannah says or does is going to split us up right sweetness"?, Penelope intertwined their fingers and said, "right hotstuff" causing Derek to smile as he looked lovingly into her eyes.
Meanwhile in Savannahs room she sent Kevin a text that simply said, "THE PLAN IS WORKING PERFECTLY", she then rubbed her stomach and said, "don't worry little one daddy is going to be with us soon and then nothing or nobody will ever separate us again".
