Best Laid Plans-Ch 28
The next day or so passed by without anymore problems from Savannah or Kevin which thrilled a healing Derek and Penelope who tried to focus on each other and their new relationship. Penelope was excited to get out of the hospital but with her injuries she knew it was still going to be a while and that she dreaded.
Derek was currently out for therapy and she was laying in her bed playing on her computer, she moved to fast and winced in pain as her hand flew to her side. She looked up when she heard a voice say, "awwwww poor plum sauce", Penelope shook her head and said, "that's it Kevin, just leave".
Kevin stepped inside and walked over to the bed and said, "now Penelope you know that I can't do that, you know that you and I are meant to be together not you and that, that, that man whore". Penelope said, "don't you dare call him that, Derek is the best thing that's ever happened to me".
He put his hand over his heart and said, "and here I thought that was me"?, she shook her head and said, "uh no Kevin, you were the biggest mistake that I have ever made". Kevin took her hand in his and said, "you'll see that you don't belong with Morgan, you will see that you belong with me".
Penelope pulled her hand from his and winced in pain, he said, "here let me" and she said, "STAY AWAY FROM ME, DON'T TOUCH ME", both heads turned when Reid stepped into the room and walked over to the bed. Kevin said, "well look if it isn't pretty boy himself", Reid said, "what are you doing here Kevin when it is obvious that she doesn't want you here".
Kevin said, "right now plum sauce is confused about what and who she wants", Reid put his hand on Kevins shoulder and said, "she doesn't want you here Kevin so it's time for you to go". Kevin said, "who are you to tell me to leave, I love this woman and she's going to be my wife".
Reid shook his head and said, "GET OUT NOW KEVIN", Kevin said, "welllll listen at you getting all bossy, are you channeling your inner Derek Morgan"? Reid said, "do I have to get security in here because I can do that" as he walked over to the door to get the nurses attention.
Kevin quickly said, "NO, NO", Reid said, "well then it's time for you to go, she is trying to heal and she can't do it with you here arguing with her". Kevin sighed and nodded his head and said, "I'll go but you're going to see, you're all going to see that she doesn't belong with Derek that she belongs with me".
Reid laughed and shook his head and said, "whatever helps you sleep at night Kevin" as he watched Kevin walk out into the hall, he turned to take one final look at Penelope before walking away. Reid walked over and took her hand in his and said, "it's alright, he's gone, he's gone" as she wiped away the tears that were streaming down her cheeks.
Penelope said, "I can't do this anymore boy wonder", Reid said, "do what"?, Penelope said, "I love Derek I do but right now he needs to be with" and Reid said, "don't you dare say that he needs to be with Savannah". Penelope looked down at her hands and said, "well he does, what if she's having his baby"?, Reid put his finger under her chin and gently raised her head up and said, "Derek doesn't have to be with Savannah in order to be a father to that child, if and I am stressing this, if he is the father".
She listened as he said, "he loves you and only you and wants to be with you, he always has", Penelope weakly smiled and said, "I know but" and Reid said, "soooooo are you going to tell Derek about Kevin"?, Penelope felt her heart race as she heard Derek from their door say, "tell me what about Kevin"?, Reid looked at Penelope and said, "you need to tell him, he needs to know".
Penelope blew out a deep breath and nodded her head yes in agreement as she said, "Kevin was here and he", Derek said, "waitttttt, what, he was here again"?, Penelope said, "he was and he said" and Derek said, "let me guess what he said, he said that you don't belong with me that you belong with him, am I right"?, she nodded her head and said, "it is".
Derek wheeled himself over to the bed and took her hand in his and said, "I love you baby girl, I always have and I always will, we belong together, we deserve our happiness and baby or no baby I want to be with you". Penelope looked up at him and smiled and said, "I want that too hotstuff".
Neither of them noticed Reid backing out of the room as Derek leaned in and pressed his lips against hers in a gentle, loving kiss.
