Best Laid Plans-Ch 30
Reid was sitting on one of the park benches sipping on his coffee when the Morgan sisters walked over to him, they removed their sunglasses and sat down beside Reid. He glanced around the park and said, "thanks for getting here so fast", the girls smiled at him and nodded their heads.
Sarah said, "so what's with the meeting, is something wrong with Derek or Penelope"?, Reid shook his head and said, "no it's nothing like that" causing the women to calm down". Desi said, "if they are alright then what was the urgency for us to get down here"?, Reid said, "I wanted to fill you guys in first on something that I heard before I fill the rest of the team in".
The sisters looked at each other and then at Reid as they waited for him to fill them in on what he was talking about, he took a deep breath and then started filling them in on the conversation he had purposely overheard. When he was finished Desi said, "that trash, you wait till I get my hands on her" as she tried to get up off of the bench.
Sarah said, "wait a sec Desi, let's here Reid out", Sarah blew out a deep breath and nodded her head and said, "you're right, you're right", she then looked at Reid and said, "sorry Spencer, please go on". Reid tapped his finger to his chin and said, "well it's obvious that they are up to something big and they are planning on splitting Derek and Penelope up to accomplish their goals".
Desi said, "so what can we do about it"?. Reid said, "well you girls felt that something was off with her from the second she announced she was pregnant with Dereks child, right"?, both girls said, "yeah" in unison. Reid said, "so did I and the rest of the team, not to mention your mom but for some reason Penelope was afraid to hope that the child growing inside Savannah belonged to anybody but Derek".
Sarah said, "and that's what Savannah and Kevin were counting on", Reid said, "exactly, so what we have to do now is fill the others in on what I have discovered, then devise a plan and execute it". Desi smiled at him and said, "and we need to do it before they succeed in pushing Derek and Penelope apart".
Reid said, "I agree Desi, I agree" as he pulled his cell off of his belt and sent a group text to Hotch, Dave, JJ and Emily, he sighed and said, "now we wait for the others to get here". Sarah said, "Reid, do you really think that we can stop them before their plan succeeds and splits up Derek and Penelope"? Reid said, "I do".
Sarah and Desi looked at him as he said, "we all know that Derek and Penelope belong together, they always have, their chemistry is off of the charts, it's like they were destined to be together from the first time they met". Desi grinned and said, "ohhhh he's been head over heels in love with her, she's all he would talk about" causing Sarah to laugh and say, "he still talks about her, his eyes light up, you can see the love all over his face".
Reid opened his mouth to speak but was stopped when he heard JJ's voice saying, "what's up with the pow wow Spence"?, the rest of the team gathered closer as they waited to see what he was going to say. Reid said, "I brought you all here to discuss something", Hotch said, "what exactly"?, Reid said, "it's something that I overheard actually".
Dave said, "from the looks on the girls faces I'd say that we're not going to like this are we"?, Reid shook his head and said, "no, not at all, not at all". Emily said, "alright, don't keep us in suspense, spill it", Reid blew out a deep breath and started filling the rest of the team, well minus Derek and Penelope about what he had overheard.
