Best Laid Plans-Ch 47
The next morning Penelope woke up to the smell of chocolate, she opened her eyes and smiled as she saw the women sitting beside her bed with a tray of coffee and chocolate muffins between them. JJ said, "time to rise and shine Garcie, today's your day, today is the day you finally get your man".
Penelope laughed and sat up in bed as the others joined her, Fran handed her a muffin and JJ handed her a cup of coffee and said, "are you ready"?, she nodded her head and said, "I've been ready for that since the day I met him" and the women all smiled at her.
Across town Derek had been up for a while, he couldn't sleep, all he could do was think about Penelope and how in a few hours he would be married to the love of his life. He sighed as he turned to the sound of a knock at his bedroom door.
He said, "come in", the door opened to reveal Dave, Hotch, Jack and Henry, Dave handed him a cup of coffee and said, "here you go son". Jack then handed him a chocolate donut and said, "here you go uncle Derek" and Derek took them both and smiled and said, "thank you both".
Derek looked around and said, "where's pretty boy"?, Dave smiled and said, "ohhhh he's gone on an errand but don't worry he'll be back soon, he's going to meet us at the wedding". Derek took a sip of his coffee and said, "errand huh, what's so important that it couldn't wait till tomorrow"?, Hotch said, "he's gone to the jail to talk to Kevin and Savannah and break the news that the two of you are getting married today".
Dave smiled and said, "ohhhh to be a fly on that wall", Derek swallowed a bite of donut and said, "ohhhh I bet the look on their faces will be priceless". Hotch ruffled his sons hair and said, "I agree, ohhhh to be able to see their looks of disbelief" and the three men laughed.
Meanwhile at the jail Reid was sitting in one of the interrogation rooms waiting on his guests, he had arranged to see Kevin and Savannah, he wanted to break the news to them both at the same time and see the look on their faces.
Reid had hidden his cell and pushed record so that he could show the others their reaction, he was sitting back all relaxed in his tux when the door opened to reveal Savannah and Kevin being led in by guards. He watched as they were attached to the table by their cuffs, he then looked at the guards and said, "I'll let you know if I need you", they nodded their heads and turned around and left the room.
Savannah said, "well look, the dork is all dressed up", Kevin said, "you are looking sharp today, where are you going Reid"?, Reid said, "ohhhhh to a wedding". Savannah said, "wedding, huh, who's is it"?, Reid blew out a deep breath and said, "Derek and Penelopes".
The smile on Savannah and Kevins faces dropped, Savannah said, "no, no it can't be, he can't be marrying her, he can't marry that cow, he belongs with me". Kevin said, "and plum sauce belongs with me, not with that BAU manwhore".
Reid slapped the table and said, "you piece of trash, you shut your mouth, the reason you're in here is because the two of you wanted to separate them so that you could have them". Savannah opened her mouth and he said, "you shut up, don't you even start with me, not after you lied and said that the baby you're carrying is Dereks when you knew that it was Kevins".
Savannah slumped back in her seat and said, "but Derek belongs with me and Penelope belongs with Kevin, we could all be happy if that happened". Reid shook his head and said, "Derek and Penelope wouldn't be happy and their happiness is all that matters to me".
He stood up and walked over and grabbed his cell and said, "oh I hope you don't mind I recorded this little outing, I wanted to be able to show the newlyweds this as a gift". Kevin said, "please don't do this, please don't let them get married".
Reid said, "I'm the best man so of course I'm going to help them get married, now I hope that the two of you enjoy your new homes" and as he turned around and headed out the door Kevin said, "if being with Derek makes her happy then I'm glad they have each other" and Savannah closed her eyes and laid her head down on the table as Reid shut the door behind him.
At casa Hotchner the men were all hurrying trying to get the boys and Derek ready to head to Dave and Frans for the wedding and across town the women were starting their routine to get the bride ready for the day she had dreamed of all of her life, the day she marries her prince.
