Best Laid Plans-Ch 48
Penelope sat with her heart racing as JJ put the finishing touches on her hair, she then stepped back and said, "well Garcie, what do you think"?, Penelope turned around and looked at herself in the mirror and said, "oh Jayje I love it, thank you, thank you" as she gently wrapped her arms around her friend.
Fran said, "oh honey you look amazing", Sarah said, "like a princess" and Desi said, "my big brother isn't going to be able to keep his hands or eyes off of you" causing Penelope to blush and the other women to laugh and shake their heads.
Out in the backyard Derek looked up and said, "I can't believe that in a few minutes we're going to be married, that I'm finally going to marry my baby girl". Dave glanced down at his watch and said, "where's Reid, he's going to be late"?, Hotch opened his mouth to speak when Reid ran over and said, "sorry, sorry I hope that I'm not late".
Derek said, "nahhhhh, we've still got a few minutes", Dave said, "so how did your errand go"?, Reid laughed and said, "very enlightening to say the least". Derek said, "wanna give us more than that"?., Reid said, "later I have something to show you guys, I taped my visit with those two and I want to give it to you as a gift".
Dave said, "talking about the gift that keeps on giving" and the other men laughed but their attention was pulled by Henry who was tugging on his dads pants. Reid looked down and said, "what's wrong buddy"?. Henry said, "I was fraid that you were going to be late daddy", causing Dave and Derek to smile.
Penelope and Emily were talking about her flowers a few minutes later when they heard a knock on the door, Fran said, "who is it"?, Dave said, "it's me, it's time". Fran opened the door and said, "come in my handsome husband" as she stepped aside.
He kissed her gently on the lips and said, "it's time to get Derek and kitten married", JJ and Emily hugged her and Emily said, "we'll be waiting on you downstairs". Fran and the girls then hugged her and told her they would see her in the backyard before leaving her alone with Dave.
Dave looked at her and said, "kitten you look gorgeous", Penelope blushed and said, "thank you so much papa bear" causing Dave to kiss her on the top of the head and smile. He then held out his arm and said, "are you ready to become Mrs. Derek Morgan"?, she looped her arm through his and said, "lead the way papa bear, lead the way".
They were both smiling as they headed out of the room and down the stairs to join the others out back so they could finally start the wedding that had been years in the making, the wedding of Derek and Penelope.
Derek blew out a deep breath as the music started and first Emily and then JJ slowly made their way up the aisle toward the very nervous groom. Reid and Hotch couldn't help but smile at their beautiful brides as they took their places across from them.
The music changed and Dereks heart started racing faster and faster and when he saw his baby girl and Dave appear at the end of the aisle he thought his heart was going to burst from his chest. She smiled at him and he smiled back as they started slowly making their way closer and closer to him.
