Week 17-20 : Wedding

Week 17

James was exhausted, so tired in fact, that it was making him feel slightly nauseous. He trudged to his and Lily's bedroom and plopped himself, much more gently than he would've pre pregnancy, on their bed, slowly laying down, hands covering his face.

Five days.

They'd had five Weasley boys.

For five days.

He'd had them for five days.

Lily unfortunately, still had work and had several over time days. Remus was out because of the full moon. Sirius was out the night of the full moon, he'd been planning to help out after, but got called into work when there were several deatheater attacks. He hadn't gone into work before helping Lily erect even more wards around the house though. Peter had been with Remus and Sirius on the full moon, came by the next day for around and hour or two, before rubbing his arms as if cold, mumbling something about a family emergency, and disappeared without a trace.

The first day had been fine. They'd arrived early in the morning, and had fallen asleep on cots in the living room. They woke up around nine and had a semi normal, if a bit busy, day.

The second was much the same, if a bit slower. Up until they got a floo call from Arthur to ask if they could keep the boys a few more days.

The third day. Is when it became apparent that the 'Great Weasley Stomach Flu of 1980' was starting. It started with Percy and went downhill from there.

The fourth day. Vomit. Vomit everywhere. Vomit places vomit should never be.

The fifth day. No fevers. No longer contagious. Molly and Ronald finally discharged from the hospital, went home while Arthur picked the other children up.

On second thought, maybe the nausea wasn't from being tired. Maybe, he thought as nausea rose and he pushed himself up off the bed and to the bathroom, that should be changed to the 'Great Weasley-Potter Stomach Flu of 1980'.

Week 18

Lily had, truthfully forgotten that Alice and Frank weren't actually married. It was, for this reason, that she froze with a deer in the headlights look when Alice asked her to be maid of honor.

Horrible friend. She was a horrible friend. Definitely didn't deserve to be involved in their wedding. She could see it now. She'd wake up the morning of the wedding and not even remember the wedding! She'd forget and Alice would be left without her maid of honor! After all, she already forgot their marri-

"-ks from now." Alice was saying.

Lily's mind finally caught up with Alice.

"2 WEEKS? 2 WEEKS!" Lily screeched. "Alice! 2 weeks isn't even close to enough time to plan a wedding!"

"…2 and a half weeks."

"Oh yes, 2 and a half weeks. Because those three and a half days are going to make a world of difference!" Lily exclaimed sarcastically, immediately feeling bad for doing so.

"Exactly!" Alice exclaimed as lily opened her mouth to apologize, making the redhead freeze once more. "Besides. Me and Auggie have been planning already." Auggie. Right. That's what Alice called Augusta, despite the fact the older woman loathed the nickname. "There's hardly anything left to plan."

"Just a lot to do?"

"Exactly!" Alice exclaimed once again, left hand stroking her stomach as she was kicked in the ribs her engagement ring glimmering in the light from the fireplace.

James walked into the living just to stop in the doorway at the sight of seven puppies, some white, some black, some grey, and one mixed. They were sleeping around two adult dogs one white one black.

"Padfoot… that better not be you…" he said warily, looking at the black dog. Said black dog got up and trotted happily up to him…

Before transforming into James best friend, like brother.

"Sirius, what'd you do?" He asked tiredly. "Those aren't… yours? Are they?"

The guilty look Sirius gave him was the only answer he needed.

"Sirius!"

"She was in heat! And smelled so good! And aren't they soo cute!" Sirius exclaimed, gesturing behind himself.

"Sirius!"

Week 19

"Just a lot to do" was a major understatement as both Lily and James, as maid of honor and best man came to find out. Bridesmaid dresses and tuxes for the men still needed to be bought. Alice's dress still needed altered. The venue still needed to be reserved. Invites needed sent out ASAP. Just to name a few things.

"No. No. No no no." Lily was saying into the phone. "We need it for March 28 1980 not 81. ...What do you mean we have to reserve a year in advance! Listen. It's my friends dream to have her wedding there! Can't we jus-"

The only answer she got was a dial tone.

"Oh yeah! Well! Screw you too!" she growled slamming the phone down on the receiver, huffing and crossing her arms. "We'll just… have it in that little church down the road."

Week 20

Alice and Frank, did, indeed, have their wedding in the little church down the road from James and lily's house. It was smaller than expected, half the invitations having not gotten sent out. They were altering Alice's dress the day of, as her belly had grown since it was last altered. The flower girl was out sick with the flu, and they had two ring bearers, Fred and George Weasley, enough said. The cake ended up being white instead of the chocolate they ordered. Frank had an allergic reaction to Alice's bouquet. James had to fight not to cry along with the bridesmaids during the ceremony. Alice nearly tripped during her and Frank's first dance.

But, then all hell really broke loose. With a loud pop of apparition deatheaters invaded. It was a flurry of Arrours getting people to safety, children first then those pregnant.

"I'm not just going to sit while my wife is out there in danger!" James snarled, struggling against Moody's hold.

"Boy, she ain't gonna be the only one in danger if ya go out there and something happens ta that baby. And I ain't talking 'bout them Death Eaters." Moody growled gruffly."If ya know your wife as good as anyone else, you know she'll neuter ya if somethin' happens ta tha' baby."

"Two dead. Thirteen injured. Three kidnapped, if not, worse."

"You're sure, Alastor?"

"Yes, Albus. Gideon and Fabion were surrounded by death eaters five at the least. Sirius Black saw Marlene McKinnon, Frank Longbottom, and Lily Potter get grabbed. They were gone before he could get to 'em."

"That's a lot of faith you're putting in a Black!" Alice piped up.

"Al-" Sirius tried to interrupt, only for Alice to push herself up and storm out. Sirius knew she was hurting, James was in the same way (Sirius was with him when he found out about Lily), he knew, but, damnit. That didn't make her rejection feel any better, though.

A/N : Sooo… I'm back! Again! I finally got around to downloading a writing app on my phone so I could take it with me. Also, I can't remember if fabion and gideon are already dead at this point. I apologize if I got my timeline screwed up.
