Best Laid Plans-Ch 52
The next couple of months passed by rather fast as the newlyweds adjusted to their new lives together, they had only spoke about Savannah, Kevin and Tonya once and that was when their sentences were all decided and their fate sealed.
Tonya lost her physicians license and was sentenced to 1 year in prison, the thing that kept her from spending more time in jail was the fact that she told everything she knew about the entire Savannah and Kevin situation.
Kevin was sentenced to 25 years in prison for his part of the plan while Savannah received 50 years because in addition to her planning in the accident she also killed her associate Scott and with her time to be spent without the possibility of parole she would spend the rest of her life in prison.
When Savannah was put in prison it was decided that her parents would take her child and raise it after all it was their grandson and they vowed to make sure that he knew each and every day that he was loved so that he wouldn't turn out like his parents.
Penelope and Derek seemed to fall deeper and deeper in love everyday and when he was away on cases his mom would stop by to check on her for him. Derek knew that Penelope hated to be babied but she was his wife and he loved her so making sure she was safe was his duty as husband and Derek Michael Morgan always took his duty seriously.
The team was currently away on a case and Penelope was walking through her front door when a wave of nausea and dizziness swept over her. She slowly made her way to toward the couch, she needed to lay down for a second and let her nausea and dizziness hopefully pass.
She hadn't realized that she had fallen asleep until she felt a hand on her forehead, she opened her eyes and saw a worried Fran standing in front of her. Fran said, "honey are you alright, you're burning up"?, Penelope said, "I don't feel good, I'm nauseated and dizzy".
Fran said, "we better get you to the ER and get you checked out", Penelope said, "but' and Fran said, "no buts young lady, you are my daughter-in-law and I love you so let's get a move on", Penelope laughed and said, "yes mam" as she tried to stand up.
She made it a few steps away from the couch and she said, "F Fran I don't" and before she could finish her sentence she passed out. Fran managed to catch her and ease her back down on the couch, she then grabbed her cell and called for an ambulance.
As the medics loaded a very sick Penelope onto the ambulance Fran dialed Dereks number and after a few rings she heard, "hey momma, what's up"?, Fran said, "Derek we're on the way to the hospital". Derek said, "HOSPITAL, WHAT HAPPENED, IS BABY GIRL ALRIGHT"?, the team turned around to look at him as he ran a hand over his head.
Fran said, "she's running a high fever, she's sick at her stomach and dizzy, she passed out on me so we're on the way to the ER, I'm following behind the ambulance". Derek said, "we're on our way home, we should be there soon".
Derek blew out a deep breath and said, "please tell her that I love her and that I'm on my way", Fran said, "don't worry honey, I will, I will". After the call ended Dave said, "what's wrong with kitten"?, Derek said, "she's running a high fever and sick at her stomach, dizzy and she passed out so they're on the way to the hospital".
Emily said, "don't worry she's going to be alright, she's probably just run down from where we're all so busy", Derek nodded his head yes and said, "you're probably right Em", Hotch looked at his younger friend and said, "we'll be there soon and Garcia is going to be okay Derek".
Reid said, "if the doctors tell Fran anything before we get there she'll call you", Derek blew out a deep breath and looked out the jets window hoping and praying that his baby girl was going to be okay.
