Loki caught sight of Sigyn. She was sitting on a white marble bench in the midst of the garden. He trotted down to her. He saw that she was stitching into silk handkerchief.
"Needlework," Loki sounded amused. She did not bother to look at him, but kept working. He glanced down and smirked. "May I?"
"Of course," Sigyn moved her skirts for him to sit next to her. "Hmph. You have grown into a fine prince." Sigyn sighed. "It has been far too long, my friend." She looked over to him.
Loki glanced at her. "Others have said worse."
Sigyn laughed. "Do you know why I sat here? At this bench? In this garden?" Sigyn sighed. "Do you remember the first time we met?"
Loki looked down with a faint smile across his lips. He laughed once and looked to the surrounding city. "You were sitting on the ground hidden by this very bench. I was over by the red flowers and I thought I spied more but here it was you."
"And as I stood up, I was startled to see one of the young princes about," Sigyn looked with him. "We just stared at each other."
"No introductions, no words," Loki smirked. "Just staring. Until you finally curtsied and introduced yourself."
"Not long then you bowed," Sigyn added on. "And introduced yourself. Hmph. It was the start of our friendship."
"And I here I thought it was the start of something else," Loki gazed upon her.
Sigyn's smiled wavered. "It was both."
"I even gave you one of my favorite flowers," Loki crossed his arms. His lips pursed.
Sigyn laughed. "And I scolded you from letting it grow. I still have it. It's dried and pressed into the pages of my book."
"Just like my heart," Loki joked.
"No!" She teased back. "I know your heart is alive and full of passion."
"Of course it is, I left it with you," Loki smirked.
"I believe I have captivated it," Sigyn explained. "You could not let your heart go at that young of age."
"I could have," Loki looked back to the city. "Do you love him?"
The wavered smile trembled at bit. "I do believe I can. I will, I might be already in love with him but I just don't know it yet." She looked down at the red fabric and the gold stitching. "Have you ever been in love?"
"Several times," he replied.
Sigyn looked over to him. "Are you in love now?"
"Yes," Loki looked over to her.
"Does she know?" Sigyn stared into his eyes.
Loki looked off as he titled his head while thinking. His eyes narrowed a bit, "One knows but it's more of a 'I love to hate you relationship'." Sigyn was about to protest and he shushed her and continued on. "One told me and I never responded. Three think they love me but I just used them. Four others think the relation is more about lust."
"Loki now you're just exaggerating," Sigyn shook her head as she touched his arm to stop him from continuing on.
"How can you know for sure, you're not a mind reader?" He winked at her.
"No, I am not, but I can still know when you are lying," Sigyn held her head high. "I think you forgot about the other five."
"Now you are the one lying," Loki did the same as her. "Unless you have five other lovers you're not telling Theoric about?"
Sigyn laughed again. "Mmm, who knows exactly what I could be hiding?" She looked away. "No. I would not ever do that. I can barely begin to love one, five others, well that's ridiculous. Love should be given to one and one alone. Too many and it seems that you break love into pieces."
"You've seen this happen too many times," Loki chuckled. "Being a Valkyrior seems to have made love a tragedy."
"No, it just makes us value it more," Sigyn brushed shoulders with him.
They could hear footsteps behind them. The soft step of a woman, a servant actually.
"My Lady Sigyn, you are requested amongst your parents," the maid called.
Loki turned around to grab something. Sigyn looked beyond him to the maid. "I will be there quite soon enough."
The maid was about to turn away when she watched Loki try to give her a red flower. Sigyn just stared at his eyes while she took the flower from his hand.
"Loki, I thought you were not going to kill anymore flowers," Sigyn pointed out.
The maid screeched in horror as to what the red flower turned into. Sigyn held a small snake instead. She looked down to it and laughed. Her hand turned over as it laced through her fingers. She brought the other up to keep the snake from stopping. Sigyn petted its head and let it go on the ground. She watched it slither away as Loki watched her with fascination.
"Snakes like spiders can be wise creatures even though they are very dangerous," Sigyn gathered her things and put it in the pockets of her dress. He stood as she was about to stand. "I enjoyed this but we shall continue another time." She curtsied and went off to follow the maid.
As she passed by the red flowers she noticed that none of them of were missing. A small smile etched her lips.
Theoric was there waiting for her in the corridor. He hooked arms with her. He whispered into her ear. "He is not to be trusted. I do not want to see you with him."
Sigyn was taken aback by his words. "Loki is a dear friend. You invited him to our day."
"Was a dear friend," Theoric corrected. "Sigyn you are too dear to me. I don't want to lose you. And he is there to watch as the two of us become one."
"Lose me?" Sigyn stopped. Theoric stepped in front of her. "Why would you believe I should stray away? We are soon to be married." She looked into his eyes to see the fear in his eyes.
Theoric sighed. "Yes we are. I am delighted, but he is malicious. He tried to kill his own brother, an entire race, several Midgardians, and here his is trying to woo you. No one trusts him." He cupped her face and kissed her lips. "There are wars starting up in some of the realms and I must attend to them. Our day is still set, I will not miss that day for anything. I trust you, but I do not trust him. I won't ever trust him."
Sigyn kissed him back. "You must trust me to be with him then, he is my friend. I will not let you subjugate who I am allowed to be friends with." She walked around him. Theoric jogged to catch up with her.
"Your parents have agreed with me though," Theoric caught her arm. "He is dangerous."
Sigyn sighed. "Let's now talk of this anymore." She patted his arm.
The next day, Theoric had breakfast with her before he left with the other guards to discuss plans. He didn't know when he would be back but it would be in the evening.
Sigyn was walking to the garden when she got stopped by the Warriors Three.
"Where are you headed?" Fandral kissed her hand.
Sif came by them. "Wherever you are not." She laughed.
Fandral sighed. "Don't you have somewhere to be, sword practice per say?"
"As do you, Sigyn, care to join us?" Sif opposed.
She smiled. "It would not do any harm. Let me change into the proper attire."
"We will see you there," Sif took Fandral and the rest with her as Sigyn went the other way.
The clang of metal singing could be heard through the nearest halls. Sigyn came by in a short, dark crimson, leather dress that reached top of her knees. She had even darker almost black tight leather pants with boots. Her long sleeve shirt was golden in color. Gold metal plated parts of her body.
Fandral stopped his sword play with Sif to watch Sigyn walk up. Sif took this time to hit him in the stomach.
"Oof!" He doubled over. Sif chuckled.
Sigyn picked up a sword and started to swing it in a figure eight. She tested the weight. Hidden to the rest in the dark shadows was Loki. He rested against a pillar.
A sword lanced out to her, but she stopped it. The singing of the two swords rung in the yard. "Ready?" Sif breathed. Her hand tightened around the sword.
Sigyn turned to her with a smile. "I have been for a while now." She withdrew the sword and swung at Sif who jumped back. Sif charged at her, while Sigyn blocked and kicked the foot out from under Sif. She fell to ground with a sword pointed to her throat. Sif tried to trip her but Sigyn jumped back. Sif got up and twirled her leg to try to trip her again. Sigyn fell this time but her leg went up and kicked her in the chest. Sif fell back down again. Sigyn got up and pointed the sword again down at her throat.
"What is this, a Valkyrior tactic?" Sif kicked Sigyn in the gut, swung her sword as she got up. Sigyn backed away blocking her again. Sigyn opened up for a fatal blow and Sif took the bait. Sigyn grabbed the sword with her hand, Sif gave the slightest hesitation, which gave Sigyn the opportunity to come in closer to knock her in the head with her own. This made Sif stumble back. Sigyn grabbed her arm and flung Sif around to her with the blade pressed right against her neck.
"No, this is," Sigyn smiled again.
Sif gave up and the hold on her was loosened. The two faced each other. Sif patted her on the shoulder.
"Not bad for the book lover," Sif laughed. She put the sword back in her hilt. "Here I thought I would have at least the upper hand. Heard you were a teacher and still guess you are into gardening."
Sigyn just chuckled. She ripped some of her shirt off and tied it around her hand. The two went at it again. They would switch off to fight others. After a few hours of training, the group broke up to eat or bathe.
The darkness sprinkled with glittering stars and planets rose up from the horizons. The temperature started to drop. Sigyn was wrapped up and dried off into a comfortable gown. She heard a couple of soft knocks upon her chamber door. Her face lit up when she trotted over to the door. When she opened it, Theoric was standing their waiting with for her.
"Have you ate anything yet?" Theoric raised his eyebrows.
Sigyn sighed. "I have, but I will keep you company." She took hold of his arm.
They walked to a small parlor. Small plates of food and a couple of mugs and a pitcher was there, already waiting for the royals and attendees to devour. Certain rooms always had food and drinks. The two sat down together on a rounded bench. Sigyn started off the conversation. They talked about their day, the wedding, and random topics. Theoric would hand feed at her times. Their chuckling echoed one another.
Theoric grabbed her hand. He traced a line through her palm. Sigyn smiled as his fingers kept tracing. He asked about how much the pain had hurt once she had sliced it up. The pain wasn't much, she learned to fight through it. That there would always be some pain over any obstacle. There is always some sort of sacrifice, some sort of price to pay. He then kissed the palm of it.
She grazed her hand upon his cheek and kissed his lips. He pulled her in closed and kissed her. There was a certain hunger in him that made her break their kiss. His kisses never felt like this before. They were always sweet and loving but never this hungered never this passionate. Her eyes lit up in curiosity on how it could have gotten this way. She was about to speak when Theoric's lips met hers. His kisses trailed to her jawline then his lips went to her ear. He breathed into her ear that he had missed her. She chuckled that it was only for day. He kissed her jawline again. His breath was hot upon hers and answered that it seemed as if it was longer than that. Shivers arose upon her spine and trickled up to her neck. He led her lips back to his.
The two of them were there for a while. Theoric walked her back to her chamber. He kissed her again before he left her alone for the night. After the door closed, Sigyn was in a daze as she did her late night routines. Theoric walked away with a devious smile. Once he was far away and into the darkness, his transformation changed. Loki chuckled as he walked away. He stepped into a side corridor and walked on.
Thor saw his brother. "What brings upon such laughter?"
Loki walked alongside with him. "Just remembering."
Thor gave him a side long glance. "Care to indulge me?" Loki looked down, then looked to him. "Or shall I force it out of you?" He teased.
Loki's lips twitched at a smile. "And how are you exactly going to do that? I don't believe I'll ever tell." Loki then moved into a side corridor and walked away from his brother. Thor watched him go.
Thor spoke under his breath, "You will never tell me." He looked down shook his head and walked away. "I've come to know that now. I just wished you would trust me again." He went on thinking about the past between them.
In the morning, the actual Theoric met with Sigyn. Their first morning kiss was a bit of surprise for him, but he gave way to no hesitation. He told her he could only see her for now that he may be able to see her in the evening. She sighed and kissed him again.
She was about to walk alone to breakfast when her mother came up to her. She hooked her arms with her daughter. The two talked about the wedding. After breakfast the two of them headed to the seamstresses. Her dress was already being made to the certain specifications.
The two of them chatted and laughed. Some of the seamstresses added in. Sigyn twirled in the golden dress that was half done. This was the last fitting until it would be finally done. Her father was fastening a golden hair piece that resembled that of his family's helmets.
Sigyn visited her father to make sure the measurements were correct as well.
On her way back, she decided to visit the library. She roamed the many aisles. Her fingers were gently pressed against the books feeling their spines as she glided the along. She took in the scent of the ink and mustiness. Her eyes closed and she glided on.
"Are you wanting a particular book of any particular origin?" Loki was in one of the aisles. He picked one out and held it in front of her. She stopped in front of him and opened her eyes to view upon this book that was inches from her nose.
She looked at the heading of the book. "I have already read this one. Interesting story but not a favorite. Hmm. Try again."
He chuckled as he put the book back. "I have heard you do have a favorite one that you read constantly."
Her hands clasped behind her back. "Hmm and where is this book?"
Loki looked off into the air. "I should be asking you that?" He looked to her.
She looked at the many books. "It seems that I may have misplaced it then." She read the titles of the books around her. "I have read most of these. Is that terrible?" She looked to him then back to the books laughing as she skimmed through the words.
"It's not terrible at all, and most lost things are right in front of you, you just can't see it," Loki crossed his arms.
The two walked together discussing books and poetry. They sat together reading to another. Loki asked her if she had given her embroidered handkerchief to him yet. She shook her head no. She was still working on it. Sigyn chuckled about how she was messing up on it and how to she was trying to fix her mistakes. It was going to be a wedding present.
When the evening came around, Theoric never showed, he was still in another realm, but Loki showed up disguised as him before.
He hinted about changing the time of the wedding to one hour earlier. He would spread the word to rest if that was their final decision, it was the least he could do since he was not by her side to help her get the wedding together. She kissed him in agreement.
Each opportune moment there was to be with Sigyn as Theoric he would take it. The night before the wedding he did not take that advantage. Instead he watched a cloaked figure sneak out after the bachelor party that her soon to be husband was right in the middle of.
Sigyn stayed a few ways behind. Theoric was greeted by the Warriors Three and Thor in one of the local taverns. Sigyn went through one of the back doors and watched them in their time of merriment. Clinks of mugs rung to the cheers of voices. Toasts were made right and left. Bar maids came back with several rounds.
"Nights like these are supposed to be secret from their soon to be brides," Loki's voice raised the hairs on the back of her neck.
She didn't turn around, her eyes strayed away to where she thought she heard his voice. She glanced back to Theoric. "Curiosity. It can be our little secret."
Loki chuckled. "Our little secret." He walked over to be on the opposite side of her. He peered over to the group and rolled his eyes. His arms crossed over one another as did a leg. He leaned against the wall.
Her voice had a bit of a laugh to it. "Just keep my secret as you have your fun with them tonight."
"You actually believe they would have me amongst their merriment," Loki chuckled. This time it was much darker than his usual loftiness. "I am not to be trusted, remember?"
"I wonder if he could trust me," Sigyn made sure her hood was still on hiding her face from view. "Nights like these are supposed to be hidden away but would he tell me if I ask him?"
"Cold feet?" Loki inclined an eyebrow.
Sigyn shrugged her shoulders as she sighed. She turned around with one last glance to the group she watched and headed out of the tavern. Loki accompanied her to the fortress. The two haven't said much between one another.
Loki walked with her to the chamber. Sigyn thanked him for accompanying her back. She dropped her hood and was about to enter the room but Loki grabbed her elbow. He whirled her around to face him.
"Oh?" She looked up to him. His other hand brushed her hair back. It grazed upon her cheek where it rested. Sigyn put her hand upon his. Their eyes met and his lips drew close to hers. She drew back and pulled his hand away from her. "Loki we cannot." He searched her eyes for any reluctance. Sigyn gave way to none. "I am loyal to him. If the roles were switched and I to you, I would not stray away either."
She watched his lips twitch and his eyes shine for a moment.
"Loki," her voice was full concern. She grabbed on to his arm. "My union is at an earlier time tomorrow. I would not want you to miss it. Theoric said he would tell the rest, but what reason would he ever tell you." She patted his arm. "My dearest friend."
His lips snarled into a slow steady smile. "No need to worry, I will be there right on time."
This made her sigh with relief. She kissed him on the cheek before she entered her room. He left to stroll around before heading back to his chambers.
Sigyn woke up to a magnificent morning. A few birds were perched upon her balcony. She glided over into the sun and let it warm her skin. Her dress was waiting for her on a stand. Maids came by to give her breakfast and helped prepare for her wedding.
She was led into a steam bath before she bathed in cold water to finish the washing away of the maiden status. The cold water had flowers, herbs, oils and certain charms to cleanse and clean her.
Her maids started to dress her in her golden gown. One servant came in with a small wooden box. A gift from the Allfather she explained as she opened it to reveal five pieces of golden jewelry. The maidens helped put on all of the pieces. The last thing they put on her was the bridal crown her father had made for her.
In just a few moments, Sigyn was ready to become unified with her betrothed.
Theoric was undergoing the similar rites of passage as well. He was not near as ready as her.
Loki was disguised and waiting for her in a small hall that opened up to one of the many gardens. He waited patiently for her to arrive.
Sigyn was accompanied by the maidens. Einherjar guards formed in their spots. The doors were opened by two other guards. Sigyn glided in her golden gown. An A-line confection that tightened at her hips and flowed down. Embroidery and layers plumed out from the waist. A darker golden cap trailed from her shoulders that were hooked in by embroidery and metal. The sleeves went to her elbows and the cape left a flowing train. Her crown was proportional to her face. Golden strands were braced against her forehead that connected to the fan shape solid pieces. The fans reached up high and low enough to her neck. Her hair was still the same.
She glowed once she walked through the door, but once her eyes met his, she seemed to radiate. Loki's lips parted as his heart thrummed each time she got closer. Once she got to the stairs, she started to blush as she lifted her skirts up and trudged up the stairs. Her eyes were down cast. Loki trotted a few stairs down to help her. He lent a hand to her and they walked up the rest of the stairs together.
Once they were at their spot, the two faced one another hands clasped together. Sigyn did not look around to see who would witness this day.
The arrangement was sealed the night before with the actual Theoric present. Frigga blessed them both with fertility. The sword from an ancestor of Theoric's family was retrieved and placed at hand, ready to be passed down to an heir of theirs. The couple gave animal sacrifices and gifts to the Allfather and Allmother.
Loki reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring. He placed it upon her finger. Sigyn smiled as she looked at the green jewels glittering in the light. She placed a golden band upon his. Etched on the ring were her Eternal Valkyrior protection and ever faithful loyalty to him.
He eyed her lips after he watched her place the ring on. Sigyn's face slowly crept closer as did he. Their lips met at once. Loki's arm snaked around to pull her in closer. Her newly ringed hand placed itself upon his heart. The witnesses around gasped at what they saw. At first it was due to the kiss but then it lead to the transformation of Theoric to Loki. Loki transformed into his ceremonial attire, horns and all.
The actual Theoric came through the doors with his friends. He was looking down at the red jeweled ring he had picked for Sigyn. Once he put it away, he glanced up to see a devastation.
"No!" He screamed in torture and anger. "Sigyn! No!"
Sigyn heard the voice, but if felt faint and distant. She came to realize that the voice was not conjured from her mind dissipating the thoughts of kissing Loki. The two broke away. Sigyn opened her eyes to view upon Loki. Her hand stayed upon his chest while her other came to her own. She gazed upon his face. Eyes shimmered in mischief and contempt, lips that produced his sinister grin.
Her lips breathed his name so soft, so faint, he was wanting to kiss her again. She was a bit shocked yet she could feel the heat of the guilty blush coursing through to the surface and giving her away.
Loki viewed the fuming ex-betrothed. He transformed out of his ceremonial attire to his usual leather and armor. "Ah. You arrived just in time."
Theoric gritted his teeth. "How dare you?" He took in deep breaths to calm himself down. He let out a hand towards Signy. "Sigyn, come, we can get this annulled. You can be freed from this chain that he tricked you into."
Loki looked down and around them as if he was trying to find a chain. He took her ringed hand and showed it to Theoric and his friends. Sigyn looked away from Loki to Theoric. "What chain? All I see are the rings we placed on one another?" He glanced at it before he placed it back down by her side.
"Why?" Sigyn breathed.
Loki looked to her in confusion.
"There were many chances you could have to tell me," Sigyn did not let go of his hand. She searched his eyes for answers. "You, you disguised yourself as Theoric just to be-," she left the sentence hanging in the air.
The corners of his lips turned up. "You were already taken, besides," his voice was only loud enough for her to hear. "If you did marry Theoric, oaths would have been broken, and you would be in complete devastation once you had remembered."
This confused Sigyn. She tried to remember what oaths she took. Her hand reached up to her forehead to cure the ache.
"Sigyn!?" Theoric called again as Loki walked down a few steps. "You cannot let yourself be married to this monster." This stopped Loki with annoyance.
"Theoric, please," Sigyn gazed at him with sympathy. "I will let myself be married to Loki." This shocked him and the rest around them. Loki, however, smirked.
"You do not love him," Theoric dropped his arm. "Do you?" He took a step closer. Loki took one step down, challenging him to stay back.
Sigyn answered with a sincere smile.
"No!" Theoric yelled. "He has done something to you. He is a master of trickery. You speak what he wants you to."
Sigyn only sighed. She was about to speak when she felt her feet hardening. She stared down to see she was turning to stone. A small gasp escaped her lips as she looked up and tried to move.
"Look what he has done to you," Theoric pointed.
Loki turned around once he heard her gasp. He climbed those few stairs to get back to her. It was too late, Sigyn was a complete statue. Loki touched her face, the cold stone was smooth upon his fingers.
"You selfish, conniving monster," Theoric clenched his jaw as he walked up to him, but was stopped once he heard the sound of a few guards coming on. "You had to have her for yourself, permanently. She was pure, delicate, but you will only destroy her like everything else you touch."
The guards came by Theoric. They had severe chains were for Loki.
"By order of Allfather, Loki, you are to be retrieved for a resentence," the guard's voice was a bit threatening. Theoric smiled.
Guards started to form a circle around him.
Loki glanced at the white, marble eyes of his wife. "I will go willingly." Odin has taken away another thing from me. He has taken everything from me, the throne, the truth, and now her. What more could he want?
The guards put the chains around him. One went around his neck that attached to the ones upon his wrist, ankles and hips. The hip chains had two extensions that were held by two guards on either side of him.
He was led away from his statue bride. Theoric and the rest watched him go with narrowed eyes.
"Perfect timing," Theoric sneered as Loki walked on by. "If you can't have her, no one will."
"Someone will have her," Loki did not look at him but kept his head level. "She is just another stolen relic and will be locked away until someone wants use of her." He let the words sink in as he followed the two guards ahead of him. He had six guards all together. Two in front and four behind.
He remained calm once he left the room. His eyes were down cast. Shadows of figures passed by. He heard the screams of an elder woman and the exclamations of an elder man. Her parents, Loki deduced. He looked up again, his mask in full force.
The distance seemed short to Odin. The guards in front of him fell behind the rest. Loki made his way up to the base of the throne. His stride and demeanor was full of fuming hatred and revenge.
Frigga was standing perpendicular to Loki. She had heard about the wedding. Her eyes casted towards his hands to see he had no ring on. Loki had hidden it, when the guards confiscated all of his weapons.
"Loki," Frigga's voice treaded worry and sorrow.
He looked to her with menace. "Hello mother. Have I made you proud?"
Frigga played with her hands. She was nervous about what was to happen next. "Please, don't make this worse." Her voice begging him yet commanding him as well.
"Define worse?" Loki was annoyed. What could he possibly do to make matters worse? He has taken all that I have. All that I have wanted.
Odin did not let this chatter go on. He ended their conversation with a brisk word. "Enough!"
Loki looked away from Frigga to him."I will speak to the prisoner alone." Yet when he spoke to his wife, it was soft with a tinge of sorrow. Frigga looked to her husband. She hurried out as she was commanded. Loki watched her leave, thinking about the words she left him with.
The two guards holding onto the chains were ready for any act Loki might unleash. They knew he would not put the Queen in harm's way. His anger and fury were towards the King. Loki took a few steps forward, clicked his heels and held himself straight as can be. Odin knew this was a mockery of those who followed his command. Loki bent over laughing straight after. Odin kept calm, he was right about the action being a mockery.
Loki stepped shoulder width apart and tried to appear innocent. "I really don't see what all the fuss was about?" He was thinking of his wedding with Sigyn, but he knew Odin wanted to retrial him for what he had done in Midgard with the Chitauri. Loki knew that Odin no longer accepted the punishment with Sigyn. This retrial is only is for Midgard but Loki knew it was also for the marriage to Sigyn, even if Odin would never speak a word of it.
Odin treated him with fairness. "Do you not truly feel the gravity of your crimes?" Loki smiled. "Where ever you go there is war, ruin, and death." He emphasized the last word, hoping to strike something in him. He watched Loki's smile recede into a smirk.
"I went down to Midgard to rule the people of Earth as a benevolent God," Loki explained as if it should have been known. Why else would I go down there? "Just like you." I wanted to rule the realm with the same iron hand that you had upon us.
"We are not Gods," Odin took a small pause. "We are born, we live, we die. Just as humans do."
Loki cocked his head to the side. Then why do you rule like one? Why did you raise us to believe we were? He nodded his head one side to the other calculating and frowning."Give or take 5,000 years." He batted his eyes and gave a smug smile.
Odin kept calm with his next remark. "All this because Loki desires," he paused once more.
"A throne." Though the mock was still there.
I desired what you told me I could have! Loki's
fuming annoyance showed upon his face. "It is my birthright!" His voice stern and definitive.
Odin knew he had struck something with him, yet it was the same cord that played when Thor was banished. Loki knew the truth now about who he was and yet he was not thankful that Odin could have left him there for dead. "You birth-rightT! Was to die!" Odin leaned forward.
Loki stared with clenched jaw and anger brewing. Then why let me live?
Odin continued on. "As a child," his voice softer. Loki blinked away the frustration and tried to see where he was going at. "Cast out onto a frozen rock." Loki knew where it was exactly going. "If I had not taken you in you would not be here now to hate me." Odin spoke as if Loki owed him.
Loki took another step forward. "If I'm here for the axe the for Mercy's sake, just swing it." His voice a bit of beg and annoyance. He waited for Odin to send the command. Loki saw that there was nothing he continued on. He looked down to the ground. "It's not that I don't love our little talks, it just," he looked back to Odin. "I don't love them." I don't love you as a father, as a king, as anyone. You have destroyed and taken away all I have ever wanted in life. Just end me now and end this pointless torture. The solemn truth was seen upon his face.
Odin leaned back. "Frigga is the only reason you're still alive." Loki tried to hide the shock on his face. His mother was right. Odin knew that Loki had taken his mother for granted. "And you'll never see her again. You'll spend the rest of your days in the dungeon." Loki knew that he did not mean just Frigga, it was Sigyn too.
The guards started to pull him backwards away from their king as he sentenced Loki. They were prepared for the worst. Loki was about to turn around as he stepped back with them. He let out a breath he was holding and regained his mask. He wanted to know how this would end up for Thor. "And what of Thor?" He leaned a bit forward. He blinked back his several churning emotions. "You'll make that witless oaf King while I rot in chains?" You have not chosen wisely. He still has much arrogance. One quest for humility does not make him a fit ruler. You lied to me. You have always lied to me. You will never unleash Sigyn either. You will keep her locked away, and when Thor is king, you will have it as your dying wish to keep her like that, as you will keep me locked in chains.
He felt the hands of guards upon his shoulder, he first thought for comfort but he knew better. Loki could feel the tug of it.
"Thor must strive to undo the damage you have done," Odin watched as the other guard placed his hands upon Loki and tried to keep him moving. "He'll bring order to the nine realms and then, yes, he will be King." He could see the agony in his son's eyes. Odin kept his calm but they finally got Loki turned around and the guards escorted him to the dungeons.
