Loki's anger destroyed everything in his cell. He pounded against the wall with his hands, clenched into a fist and opened. He kicked down the furniture. He threw them against the walls. Loki decided not to use his magic to do it. His slippers and socks had come off as he gained traction in destructing everything around him. His raven black hair that was usually slick back is frizzled and all over the place. The length did not help either. It had grown since he was in solitude.

He sat down against the wall, as he tired himself out from creating a mess, however he still screamed in rage.

The other prisoners drew quite an interest in what was happening to him. He did not care, he never did nor ever would. Though he did want to mourn without prying eyes. He set up an illusion to make it seem that he was in control of himself. Several thoughts raced through his mind, as they repeated over again.

What have I done? I sent death to my mother. Where was Thor? Where was Odin? I now lost both of those who ever cared for me, who treated me as an equal, who gave their love unconditionally. Where was I to protect her? I lost her. I lost both. She's gone. I will kill him. I will destroy them all! My mother is dead. Everything I know is either dead or lost.

Jane had been taken away from Thor by Odin. Thor, the Warriors Three, and Heimdall devised a plan to escape and defeat Malekith in secret. Some had opposed parts of the plans, but it was the only way.

Sigyn had been found by one of the giantesses. The giantess sent a few to clean up the room, the rest helped in healing her. After she was brought back to her room, Grundroth had gotten a hold of her again. He had a few more crystals added to his arm. He placed the rings upon his fingers and clenched into a fist. She felt locks being fastened to her body and mind.

She could not take it anymore. "Do you have enough locks? Shall I be chained as well?" Sigyn gasped in pain as he grabbed her neck with the ringed hand. He brought her over to the bed. A chain had been placed next to it. There he set her down upon the bed and took away the rings. She didn't move. Grundroth pulled the chain and metal walls came down around all sides of the bed.

"Is this what you had in mind?" He turned around and left her there. Sigyn felt the metal against her fingers.

"And am I to be taken for long walks on a leash to stretch my legs?" She mocked him.

Grundroth smirked. "I have several plans for you, slave." He walked away from her.

Sigyn was visited by some of the giantesses. They kept by her side not only to protect, but to keep her company.

Thor's plan was starting to unfold. Jane was helped out of her chamber by Sif as Thor went to take Loki out of his cell.

Loki was still resting. He had stopped screaming out of anger and rage. Familiar footfalls treaded down the stairs. It was Thor.

"Thor," his illusion spoke as it walked up to the cell. "After all this time and now you come to visit me." His hands were behind his back, as he watched Thor approach him, clad in a clasped cloak. Loki bent to his level. "Why?" He almost growled. He was met with silence. "Have you come to gloat? To mock?" An eerie smile arose from his lips as he stood straight up again.

Thor stared into his brother's eyes. "Loki enough. No more illusions."

Loki's eyes widened in shock and annoyance. He closed them and the illusion disappeared in a green sweep. Thor could now see his brother sitting barefooted against the back wall. Furniture was broken, overturned, and laid in pieces around him. Books torn with pages littered the floor along with fruit and dishes. Loki was a bit dirty. Some berry colored foot prints were scattered along the mess.

Thor had only seen his brother like this in rare moments. It brought back memories and tugged the heart strings. Thor had to push through them. His brother was not the same anymore. His brother might not ever return to him. What lay before him, was a man who had lost everything.

"Now you see me brother," Loki looked to him. Now you see the state I am in. I see mother's death did not affect you much, but you always thought you had to be the strong brute of an oaf.

Thor walked over to the other side of the barrier to get closer to him.

"Did she suffer?" Loki asked. He wanted to know how much pain she had endured since those who supposedly loved her could not protect her.

"I did not come here to share our grief," Thor cut to the chase. "Instead I offer you the chance of a richer sacrament."

This piqued Loki's interest. "Go on."

"I know you seek vengeance as much as I do," Thor proceeded. "You help me escape Asgard and I will grant it to you; vengeance. And afterward, this cell."

Loki's eyes narrowed a bit while Thor had given him an ultimatum. He looked up and turned away. He truly wants my help after all that has happened. He turned back and started to chuckle. My help, with all the mischief I have managed to stir up. He let out a sigh as he responded. "You must be truly desperate to come to me for help." He watched Thor walk away, looking into the destruction of his cell. "What makes you think you can trust me?"

"I don't," Thor slowly turned back to him again. He looked straight into his eyes.

Loki believed it. Why would anyone trust me anymore?

"Mother did," Thor knew it struck his brother even more. "But you should know that when we fought each other in the past, I did so with the glimmer of hope that my brother was still in there somewhere. That hope no longer exists to protect you. You betray and I will kill you."

Now he gets it, Loki was a bit saddened. I am not your brother. I never was. Now you see that I cannot be trusted. "Hmmm." He lifted away from the wall. "When do we start?" He smiled.

"At this moment," Thor released the walls. Loki got up and walked out of the cell. Thor threw him his clothes. "Get dressed."

"I prefer to wash up first," Loki caught his garments.

Thor clenched his jaw. "Make it quick." The two headed to his old chambers.

Loki was clean, dressed and eager to get going. The two walked down a wide plaza lined with pillars. "This is so unlike you, brother." He smiled as he kept up with Thor who was wanting to get out of the palace on time and in a neatly fashion. "So clandestine. Are you sure you wouldn't rather just punch your way out?"

"If you keep speaking I just might," Thor was not in the mood.

"Fine," He looked at him. "As you wish, I'm not even here." He shifted into an Einherjar guard. "Is this better?"

Thor glanced at him. "It's better company at least."

"Still we could be less conspicuous," He switched back into himself and changed Thor into Sif. "Mm, brother, you look ravishing."

Thor looked down at this body. "It will hurt no less when I kill you in this form."

"Very well," Loki thought. "Perhaps you prefer one of your new companions, given that you seem to like them so much." He switched Thor back, and put himself as Captain America. "Oh this is much better. Woah! Costume's a bit much. It's so tight! But the confidence! I can feel the righteousness surging!" He turned around to face Thor. "Hey, wanna have a rousing discussion about truth, honor, patriostism? God Bless America-"

Thor grabbed Loki, slams him into a pillar, and presses his palm against his mouth to shut him before he could create more of a scene. Loki had changed back during this moment. Thor was looking off. Thor let go.

"What?" Loki was concerned.

Thor turns in the direction of two soldiers walking along the plaza. Loki looked with him.

"You can at least furnish me with a weapon," Loki pleaded. "My dagger. Something!" Though he really wanted his dagger. He had searched his room for it and came up with nothing. It must be still on the guard. That dagger was important to him. He was going to get it back.

Thor comes back to him. The two heard sliding metal. Loki smiled. His brother did get his dagger. Thor knew it was a favorite. "At last, a little common sense." Thor put on the hand cuffs and snap them into place. He back away. Loki looks down at them, and gives him an irritating look as he pulled them up to show his annoyance.

"I thought you liked tricks?" Thor laughed at him. He turned around and proceed onward. Thor took off his black cape, he extended his arm and his hammer came to him. His red cloak unfurled from his shoulders. He started to explain to Loki about the plan. Loki started to ask questions but Thor returned with his own about getting out through certain passages. Loki told the ones Thor would want to escape from.

The two headed onward before they were spotted by a group of guards. They walked down the stairs and stopped. Thor dropped his hammer. Loki watched him with scrutiny. "And how is that, a good idea?"

Thor did not want to fight them, but knew it was his only choice. "No killing." He looked to Loki and spoke in a hushed tone.

Thor walked to the guards, as the split up around him. They attacked him at once. He fought them down as best he could.

Loki stood and watched. He stepped out of the way from the guards being flung from time to time. Loki tried to cross his arms as he usually does, but he could not get around the cuffs. These nasty things. He looked down at them, knowing he could not get comfortable nor would they be any help.

Thor knocks down most of them, but one gets up and tries to flee to get others. Loki sees this and becomes worried. Loki spies his dagger on one of the guards. He takes it, stands, and is about to fling the dagger when Thor grabs both his hands. Loki turns to him. "He's escaping. He'll sound the others."

Thor took the dagger away from him as he tried steadying him. Loki kept watching him. Thor turned and moved on as he picked up the hammer. "I said no killing."

Loki turned and followed him. "I was only going to maim him."

"Just like you were going to maim that grey wolf," Thor countered.

"It's a nice pelt," Loki smirked. "Great for traveling in cold realms."

Thor stopped. He looked around. "Good. We are not late. This is where we are supposed to meet them."

Sif escorts Jane to Thor and Loki. They had a few troubles along the way, but nothing Sif could not handle. As Janes spots Loki, she draws ahead of Sif. Loki was quite interested on why Thor's lover was here on Asgard.

"You're" Jane started to speak. She had heard what he had done to Sigyn and some of the Avengers in New York. She had also heard what happened with the wedding and where he was for his mother's death.

"I'm Loki," he presented himself. He never did on Midgard. "You may have heard of me."

She punches straight across the face with all of her might, making his head fling to the side.

"That was for New York," she spoke with venom.

Loki laughs as he brings his head back. He looks to Thor. "I like her."

Sif stood there, impressed by what just happened.

Loki was about to speak more but two guards had spotted them. He kept smiling at Jane. What kind adventures has my brother been on since you are here? He sensed that some dark sorcery was upon her.

Thor steps toward them, but Sif stops him. "I'll hold them off. Take her."

Thor peered into her eyes. "Thank you."

The guards drew their swords. Thor ushers Jane away. Loki was about to follow when the edge of Sif's sword touched the skin on his throat.

He started to chuckle.

"Betray him, and I'll kill you," Sif warned.

"It's good to see you too, Sif," he peered over to her.

She backed down and turned towards the guards, touching the hilt and making the sword double bladed.

The three of them headed to the first crash landing of a Harrow ship in the palace. Volstagg was there waiting for them.

"I will give you as much time as I can," Volstagg spoke to Thor.

"Thank you my friend," Thor patted him on the shoulder.

Volstagg and Jane nodded to one another. Loki started to pass by him, but he stopped him with his arm. "If you even think about betraying him.."

Loki looked to him, "You'll kill me?" He was not surprised. "Evidently there will be a line."

The three headed into the ship. Thor stepped into the controls, as Loki was beside him. Jane looked around, taking in the technology. She leaned against the walls of the ship. Thor proceed to press all of the buttons trying to get the ship to start.

"I thought you said you knew how to fly this thing," Loki watched him make a fool of himself.

"I said 'how hard could it be,'" Thor replied trying to get it started.

They heard the guards fighting against Volstagg.

"Well, whatever you're doing brother," Loki sneered. "I suggest you do it faster."

"Shut up, Loki," he was getting tired of hearing his nonsense.

"You must have missed something," Loki was eying the controls wanting to run the ship.

"No I didn't," Thor kept pressing all of the buttons. He started to press everything. "I'm pressing every button on this thing." He started to hit with aggressiveness.

"No, don't hit it," Loki advised. Gentleness was never a skill you learned quite well enough. "Just press it gently."

Thor keeps thumping buttons in irritation. "I am pressing it gently! It's not working!" Somehow he presses the right buttons as the engine starts up, and the internal lights and mainframe comes on. Thor laughed at this. "Ha HA!"

He makes the ship hover, rotate, hitting palace columns.

"I think you missed a column," Loki was looking at the screen.

"Shut up!" Thor did not need his annoyance as he was trying to concentrate.

The ship crashed through a palace wall, twisted, and swooped through the city.

Loki watched as his brother was doing a poor job of flying. "Look, why don't you let me take over? I'm clearly the best pilot."

"Is that right?" Thor pondered. "Well, out of the two of us, which one can actually fly?" Shots started to fire at them, as he tried to evade. He let out laughs and hooting as he made some close calls with the ship.

Janes started to lose energy and fell to the floor.

"Oh dear," Loki looked over to her. "Is she dead?" He seemed comical as he spoke. It seems all our lovers just simply get taken away from us. We are simply not cut out for such pleasures.

"Jane!" Thor shouted to her. He was about to let Loki take control to make sure she was alright.

"I'm okay," Jane managed to speak.

Thor hits one of the buildings. He knew Loki was going to have some witty line for him. He glanced back. "Not a word."

Now, they were tailed by three Asgardian skiffs. Loki looks back to see them. "Now they're following us." The skiffs start to shoot them down. "Now they're firing at us!"

Thor concentrated even more, "Yeah, thank you for the commentary. Loki, it's not at all distracting!" The swoop towards a tunnel and part of the ship slices through Odin's father's huge stone statue.

"Well done," Loki commented. "You just decapitated your grandfather."

Thor finally got away from the city and headed to some distant mountains over the water.

Loki was getting irritated with the plan. "You know, this is wonderful. This is a tremendous idea. Let's steal, the biggest, most obvious ship in the universe and escape in that. Flying around the city, smashing into everything in sight so everyone can see us. It's brilliant, Thor! It's truly brilliant!"

Thor set the ship the best he could. He then pushed Loki with so much force out an open door, Loki screams and plummets. Thor picks up Jane and jumps after him. The ship still going forward.

Thor landed on his feet while Loki came to his. Fandral was laughing at this. "I see your time in the dungeons has made you no less graceful, Loki."

He ignored him as he watched the ship kept going with the skiffs firing after it. "You lied," he smiled. "I'm impressed."

"I'm glad you're pleased," Thor set Jane down comfortably. "Now, do as you promised. Take us to your secret pathway."

Loki got himself situated with the tiller and begins grinning again. He showed his skill of piloting the small dingy. They veered to right, away from the bridge. This brought attention of another dingy just like theirs. It starts to chase them while firing. Loki weaves back and forth to avoid getting hit. He then lifts the dingy higher away from the water's edge.

"Fandral," Thor looked to him.

"Right," Fandral knew his cue. "For Asgard." He takes a hold of the rope that is anchored to the dingy and swings onto the pursuing dingy. He starts to knock the soldiers out. "Nothing personal, boys." He salutes to Thor after he is done.

Loki then steers the dingy to a rocky mountain peak, where only a crevasse of cave is shown.

Thor started to get worried. "Loki?!"

"If it were easy, everyone would do it," Loki's fingers gently moved the dingy a bit over.

"Are you mad?" Thor gets down to hold Jane in place.

"Possibly," Loki's eyes lit up as they were getting closer. They start travelling through the cave, which becomes narrow in some places that it hits the sides of the dingy. They got far enough where they passed through the passage into the black sand of Svartalfheim. "Ta-da!" His voice mirrors that of a magician finished with his trick.

He looked around to see the area changed from when he was there. There were no forests, no black dreary palace but several broken cities. He figured they must have used the light elves realm instead. This place was far too desolate.

Thor felt Jane was getting a bit cold. He placed a cover over her to keep the chill away. Loki shook his head as he watched.

"What I could do with the power that flows through those veins," he envied her.

"It would consume you," Thor turned to him.

"She's holding up alright," he inclined to her. "For now."

"She's strong in ways you'd never even know," Thor defended her.

This struck Loki. It reminded him about those who had cared about him the most; Frigga and Sigyn. "Say goodbye," he forewarned him. Those who he ever loved gone and he didn't even had the chance to say goodbye.

"Not this day," Thor stood strong.

"This day, the next, a hundred years," Loki went on. "It's a heartbeat. You'll never be ready. The only woman whose love you prized will be snatched from you." And then you begin to wonder how to go on since they were the bearer of light and the bringer of flames to your dark, macabre world.

"And will that satisfy you?" Thor raised his voice.

"Satisfaction is not in my nature," Loki was sincere.

Thor stood to face him. "Surrender is not in mine!"

"The son of Odin," Loki then smiled at him. He started to proceed on until Thor stepped forward.

"No," Thor had enough of Loki's negativity. "Not just of Odin. You think you alone were loved of Mother. You had her tricks, but I had her trust."

"Trust?" Loki started brew. "Was that her last expression? Trust? When you let her die?"

"What help were you in your cell?" Thor stepped closer.

"Who put me there?" Loki started to yell. "Who put me there?"

Thor leaps towards him and knocks him back before he starts to do any harm. "You know damn well. You know damn well who!" He braces him against the ship as Loki tries to get up, but knocks him back into it. Thor raises a fist about to release his anger unto Loki. The two panted from the queuing tussle. Loki looked as if he mocked Thor for wanting to punch him; waiting for him to do it. Thor let his hand drop and grab the other side of Loki. "She wouldn't want us to fight."

Loki felt the pang of sadness, how he remembered that she would always break up the bickering. He lightened his expression. "Well, she wouldn't exactly be shocked." Loki tried to smile, but the sadness was weakening him.

Thor thought about it as well. He laughed once, "I wish I could trust you." Again, as I always did. Thor backed away from him and turned around. He tried to remember that the bond between them was broken.

Loki watched him leave. "Trust my rage." If that is the only thing you will trust again, trust it. I will not let you down.

The skiff skimmed over the remains of the city. Jane began to wake. Her eyes fluttered open to a light blue. Thor and Loki watched her as she began to rise.

"Jane," Thor was concerned as she moved to the bow. They could see the Ark appearing through the clouds.

"Malekith," Jane responded.

Loki set the skiff down hidden behind the hill that they had to trek up. It was set in a hovel surrounded by caves and hills.

The three of them moved towards the edge of the cliff to watch the Dark Elves exit the Ark onto the plains below. They kneeled down. Loki narrows his eyes as he watches Kurse and Malekith glide across the sand. Plans started to scheme through his mind. Thor looked to the rest. He knew Loki had something, he just had to trust him.

"All right," Thor sighed. "Are you ready?"

Jane nods to him, scared and nervous about what is going to happen next. She didn't know how Thor was going to defeat Malekith nor get rid of the Aether from her.

"I am," Loki was set in his ways. Nothing would come between his goals of avenging his mother.

The two gods stepped away from Jane to speak, while Malekith watched them on the cliff edge, waiting their arrival.

"You know, this plan of yours is going to get us killed," Loki looks to him.

"Yes, possibly," Thor thought about it. Loki held up his cuffs to him, but Thor hesitated.

"You still don't trust me, brother?" Loki almost sneered.

"Would you?" Thor released Loki from his chains.

"No, I wouldn't," Loki cupped his hands, relishing in their release. The two looked back at the Dark Elves. Loki took the dagger hidden on his hip and stabbed Thor then flung him down the hill.

Jane screamed, "Thor! No."

Loki jumped off the ledge after him. Malekith stopped and watched the recent predicament with interest. He then kept moving. Jane ran and slid down the hill after the two brothers.

After Thor finally stopped rolling and steadied himself Loki stride up to him.

"Do you really think I cared about Frigga?" He kicked Thor in the gut. "About anybody?" Thor kept rolling towards Malekith. "All I ever wanted was you and Odin, dead at my feet!" Thor looked to Jane then Loki and tried to summon the hammer, but Loki quickly cut if off with his dagger.

The hammer slid past them as Thor yelled in pain. Jane got there just in time to try to help Thor in any way she could.

Loki picked up Jane by the waist, she fought him as he moved her towards Malekith. He called for him. "I am Loki of Jotunheim, and I bring you gift!" He threw Jane at Malekith's feet. "I ask only one thing in return. A good seat from which to watch Asgard burn."

Kurse whispered to Malekith in Elvish, "He is an enemy of Asgard. He was a prisoner in their dungeons."

Loki and he assessed one another as Malekith walked over to Thor.

That's right make him aware how terrible I am, Loki kept his poise. You will soon learn how I can be.

"Look at me," Malekith kicked Thor over. He sees the disfigured arm. He raised one arm, making Jane levitate. The two brothers watch as Malekith pulls the Aether from her body. She sees a vision of the universe turning into darkness. When it left her body, she dropped to the ground, yet the Aether hovered in the air.

"Loki! Now!" Thor cued his brother to put his hand back in place. Loki leaps over to Jane, becoming her shield as Thor brings Mjolnir to his grasp and tries to destroy the Aether. It rained red drops like glass, though it was not destroyed.

Malekith drew the Aether into him before departing to his ship leaving the rest to battle it out. Loki and Thor try to stop him but Kurse release a black hole grenade at them. Loki pushes Jane out of the way again but is being pulled in.

I am going to die, Loki thought. I never avenged you Mother, but I will see you soon. I love you, Sigyn. He tried to grasp anything he could to survive.

Thor flew into Loki breaking him away from the gravity of it. Thor jumped up to fight against Kurse, while Loki took on a handful of Dark Elves. His rage unleashed onto them for letting him believe he was going to die without finishing what he came along to do. Jane tried to hide and stay out of the way.

Kurse overpowered Thor by deflecting Mjolnir as Thor tries to call it to him. Loki finished defeating them and drew his sights on Kurse. Loki watched as Thor was being pummeled into the ground. He took one of the blades form the dead elves and thrusted into the back of Kurse. The blade comes all the way out of the chest. Kurse turns to see who has done this to him. Loki looked at what he had done.

Loki was then grabbed by Kurse on both arms and was impaled by the blade through his chest. Loki gasped at the pain and shock of what had just happened. He could hear Thor screaming at him.

I will not go without seeing you dead first, Loki grasped onto the pin of a black hole grenade. Kurse flung Loki to ground. He moaned in agony landing on his back. Thor was still drained form the beating he took. Kurse seemed unaffected while he headed towards Loki to finish the job.

He clutched himself, shaking from shock. "See you in Hel, monster," Loki had the last word with him.

Kurse was confused and didn't understand at first. He then saw the flashing red light, but could not get it away from himself in time and was flung into the black hole.

Loki watched as the creature was ripped and pulled. Mother, you may rest, I have slain the monster that murdered you.

Thor got enough strength to get up and run to his brother right after the black hole went away. Loki leaned his head back as he was going into shock.

Thor lifted Loki to him. "No, no, no, no, no." Loki panted. "Ah, you fool you didn't listen." His voice clenching up on him.

Loki looked to him. He nodded his head in short spurts. "I know. I'm a fool." His voice soft and shaken. He then tucked his head in to steady himself from the on growing spasms.

"Stay with me, okay?" Thor tried to help relieve any pain. He placed his hand upon his cheek to make sure he stayed conscious.

"I'm sorry," Loki looked to him. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Thor tried to shush him. Thor nodded his head to him.

"It's alright," Thor steadied him.

Loki started to see past Thor and grew calmer. He quickly noticed the spasms and shaking was decreasing. He could see the ivory skin turning to grey and soot.

"I'll tell father what you did here today," Thor promised his word.

Loki moved his head slightly to the left and right. "I didn't do it for him." Loki looked back to Thor. It was the most sincere words Thor had heard. It sounded as if he was healing, but he knew better the blade had pierced his heart and wasn't healing quickly enough.

Loki looked back to the sky and closed his eyes before his body turned into a deep stone grey. Thor screamed as he lost another family member. "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He placed his brother down upon the ground. He clenched his teeth and closed his eyes in anger and despair.

Jane came out of her hiding place to see the turmoil. She knew that Loki was horrible but he was still Thor's kin, Frigga's son, and Sigyn's lover. Thor gave a moment of silence for him. He raised his head to see Jane.

She stepped closer. "I, I'm sorry Thor. He saved our lives. He is in a better place."

Thor looked down to his brother. "He died worthy. If the Valkyries do not see that, then they are fools." He clenched his jaw and was about to cry again. He will be walking in the abyss if Sigyn was the only one to take him Valhalla. What will I tell her?

"Thor?" Jane tried to see his face by bending a bit "We must go." She pointed to the dust storm coming.

Thor kept staring down to his brother. "I will come back to give you a proper funeral. Rest my brother, you have done well." He raised up from Loki and stepped around him. The two headed to the nearest cave for shelter. Thor looked to where Loki was. "I should bring his body away from the storm, but it will hide him until I come back for him."

Jane started get worried. There was nothing to do besides wait out the storm. They were trapped there while Malekith was going to unleash the Aether to all of the nine realms. Thor had here explain how she knew this. After feeling dismayed, she heard a familiar ring. It was her cellphone. The two looked at one another before looking at the cellphone. She answered trying to get more reception. Thor found several shoes. Jane found the portal and headed through it.

She had found her car keys and the two drove back to the apartment. The two entered. Thor left the hammer hanging on the coat hooks.

Darcy and Erik greeted the two.

"Are you well Erik?" Thor asked noticing that he had no pants on.

Erik laughed at this but then became serious. "Your brother's not coming, is he?"

Thor spoke soft, "Loki is dead."

"Oh thank God," Erik sighed in relief. "I meant, I'm so sorry."

"Thank you," Thor nodded his head. Erik then pulled him into a hug.

Back on Svartalfheim, an Einherjar soldier looked around to see a small hump of dirt. He searched the rest to find nothing, but as he moved around, he tripped over part of the mound to see a black boot. The guard then moved the dirt away only to find Loki, cold and grey. He sighed a relief to find that it was not Thor dead but the very trickster himself. He turned around to see if there were any more mounds, there were some. He was going to dig them up until Loki opened his eyes.

The color started flourish and a smile preyed upon his lips. Loki raised up and pulled out his dagger. He killed the guard with one strike. The soldier fell with a thud. Loki dusted himself off as he stepped over him.

He shook his head and changed into the guard. Such sentiments brother. I wonder what you shall think of me once you find that my body is not there anymore. Now, to retrieve my bride from her stone solitude.

Loki used the skiff to get back to Asgard. He was sent to Odin on his findings.

Odin was sitting upon his broken throne. His head was bowed in solemn. I sit on a broken throne, perched over a broken kingdom with a broken heart.

Loki came in with his head bowed in respect. "Forgive me, my liege. I've returned from the Dark World with news." His voice disguised.

Odin turned his head. "Thor?"

"There was no sign of Thor, or the weapon, but.." Loki let the pause set in.

"What?" Odin turned to him with anticipation.

"We found a body," Loki kept his eyes down but would sneak glances.

Odin looked away, sighed, and looked back to him. "Loki."

Loki in return said nothing but looks up from his helm and gives a dark smile. He read the signs of Odinsleep wearing him thin.

"You are dismissed. Send in Commander Tyr," Odin commanded.

"Yes my liege," Loki bowed once again and headed out. He met Tyr outside of the throne room. "Allfather commands to see you now."

Commander Tyr nodded as he walked past Loki. The doors shut behind him once he entered.

"I trust Thor has taken this into his hands," Odin started to rise. "We must rebuild the city and I am growing tired and weak from the destruction. The Convergence is almost here, but the city needs protection. It is up to you Commander Tyr to keep the Asgard safe. I leave the kingdom in your hands until Thor arrives back."

"Yes my liege," Tyr bowed. Odin explained to him what needed to be done.

Loki walked down the numerous stairs to the vault. He and another guard relieved the two that were already there.

The guard took his station while Loki made sure all of the trinkets were in the vault. He saw the pieces of the hair ornaments she had worn broken and burnt. Near it were small golden chains similar to his. The space also seemed as if something was there. This made him stop. Where is she?! What has he done with her now?!

"She's gone," the other guard looked to him.

Loki turned to him. "Pardon?"

"The statue," the guard responded. "Of Valkyior Sigyn. Some of the other guards wanted to pray to her but she was moved to somewhere safer the same night Loki was put in his cell. I believe the Valkyries have her back now."

No. Loki thought. Jotunheim. The realms were on brink of war. The one place I distaste. He looked to the chains again. He sent her as a prisoner. He walked on to finish his round.

"A beautiful maiden, such a shame she had to be snagged up by Loki," the guard watched him. "Though it is said he has died, she can be set free now."

Loki walked back up the stairs.

"Where are you going? We have to wait here until the next guard comes along," the guard called for him.

"I didn't come here to do mundane tasks," Loki paused and turned around and shot a green glowing bolt to him. The guard fell down unconscious. "I came here to get what's mine."

Jane explained to rest of the group what Malekith was planning to do. She found where he was going to put the Aether. As soon as they had a plan on how to stop him, they began to get ready. Thor decided it was the right time to do what he needed to do.

He scrounged up certain trinkets asking if he could use the certain items. A few of them had gotten curious as he made a small shrine. Purple fabric was spread out on a small end table. A golden bowl was laid in the middle. Flower petals, seeds, and dirt were placed in it. He grabbed the house plants and placed on and around the table. The table was near a window that was open. Thor bent down on one knee and was about to bow his head but turned around to see everyone staring at him.

All of them turned and went back to what they were doing. Thor turned back around.

"Valkyior Sigyn," Thor spoke softly. "I hope you can hear me, this shrine is to you."

Sigyn was walking around an empty corridor. She stopped when she heard Thor's voice.

He continued on. "Several tragedies has happened while you have been in stone. Asgard has been demolished by the Dark Elves. The palace is the same. Mother was killed by Algrim. You may know this already. Her death did not go unavenged." He sighed. "Jane had found the Aether. I needed Loki to help me escape Asgard and save the realms. He was a mess after Mother's death. I let him have his vengeance. He avenged Mother by slaying her killer."

Sigyn grabbed her chest. She started to take deep breaths.

"He saved all of us. He saved Jane twice even though he told me to tell her goodbye. If I had known now what he meant, I would not have argued with him." His throat started to tighten. "He fought bravely. He is more worthy than I could ever give him credit for, my fool of a brother."

Sigyn knew what was coming next but she had to hear it. She had to know if it was true.

"Loki is dead."
