Loki got up early to head back to Asgard. He dressed himself while occasionally glancing to her. He still had the taste on his lips of last night's passionate interlude. He also had the scratch from the side of the tub when he lifted her out of the tub before they scalded themselves. He smirked at how she still couldn't control her powers enough when she was being devoured by him. It made her unstable and chaotic. He placed a kiss on her lips before he left.
Sigyn's lips turned into a faint smile. Her happy demeanor circulated into her dream. She dreamt that she was in Asgard. Sigyn was walking through the streets to the castle. She made her way to balcony that over saw all Asgard. She noticed a tall figure staring at the at realm. She picked up her pace as she smiled. His name brushed her lips. He turned her way.
"Look at our kingdom," he waved his arm out front. His other arm was placed behind her back. His voice was smooth and alluring.
She turned to see Asgard with him. Everything was on fire. Sigyn backed away in horror. Her hands covering her mouth. Her head shaking. Tears were forming in her eyes. She turned to see Loki. Loki shifted into three women. The Norns. Sigyn never forgot the eerie women when Odin brought her to meet them.
"Ragnarok is upon us." They spoke in unison. "One flame will spark the end."
Sigyn jolted awake as she heard the neighing of horses. She saw the flames surrounding her. Sigyn had encased the whole bed in red flames. She ceased her powers. The bed was back to its original state. She panted trying to catch her breath. The sheets were soaked in sweat. The horses were staring at her through the open window. Each of them were curious about her stability.
"I'm fine," she grabbed her robe while getting out of bed. "Just a nightmare."
Sleipnir whinnied at her. The other two joined in as if agreeing with what Sleipnir was reprimanding her about.
Sigyn shot him a stare before heading out the door. "It's fine. No need to tell him." The three followed her to the water fall. One horse snorted while another stamped down its foot. Then all three whinnied in agreement. Sigyn turned around to face them. "This is my matter. I will deal with it on my own. It will only cause more conflict. He cannot know the truth." Sigyn continued to the waterfall.
She took off her robe while heading under the cool water that beat down against her. The three grazed around the pond. It was calming. She stayed like that until she felt ready. Sigyn performed her daily tasks while keeping her mind at ease.
Loki was sitting in Odin's study room trying to decipher the code. He opened books with a flick of his hand. He stood up as he connected pieces together. He headed over to the shelf to retrieve a book. As he pulled it from the shelf, one book fell to the other. He tried picking that book up but it was lighter then he imagined. He picked the book up to open. The book split apart in two to reveal a smaller, disheveled book inside.
"What has Odin been hiding?" Loki thumbed through the book. He perched himself on the edge of the bookcase. It was an old story book. The pages were torn but Loki deciphered as much as he could. "Fenris, a wolf named Fenris. Hm." Loki pondered for a moment. He flipped through the rest of the book. "Nothing else. A female wolf named Fenris." He kept that thought close. He was going to research more on the words he found that he has never heard before. Loki shifted back into Odin while placing the book back in its hidden compartment.
He headed out when a servant bustled into the room. The servant bowed infront of him. Loki stared him down in observation. "Rise." The servant rose while trying to keep his shakes to a minimum. He was nervous.
"Allfather, there are rumors that the Jotuns will attack us," he shifted his eyes from left to right. "People are scared."
"The Jotuns will not attack," Loki comforted him while watching him suffer. "We have made a truce. The Nine realms are all at peace. These are just baseless rumors. No need to fret."
The servant let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Allfather. We should not worry. We should have known better and trust you. My deepest apologies."
"Tell me more about these rumors," Loki narrowed his eyes. "I want to ease my people's worry."
"Yes, Allfather!" The servant smiled. "They say that around the Dark Elves fight, there has been a rebellion within Jotunheim. Talks of the Einherjar branch, Crimson Hawks, had escorted a Jotun Princess back to keep the truce."
'She's going to enjoy that one when I tell her, a Jotun Princess,' Loki thought to himself with an inward smile.
"The traders were saying that the Jotuns were holding a contest to win her hand," the servant continued.
'That's not quite a lie or a truth,' Loki mused. 'I already had her hand. A contest was futile.'
"The rebellion happened and the princess had been either kidnapped by a kitchen servant, due to his short stature," the servant explained.
Loki kept his face the same but an eyebrow gave a small twitch. 'A kitchen servant? Short stature? Kidnapped?' He paused. 'The last two are plausible but the first one.'
"Or others have believed that she was wooed by one of the fighters and eloped with him to a cave to live out their lives in secret," the servant finished. "I prefer the latter."
Loki nodded. "Baseless rumors. I will spread the word that our truce is still intact."
"Thank you, Allfather," he bowed. "There are more rumors. Shall I continue?" Loki nodded again. "They say our fallen prince, Loki, had married Lady Sigyn and that she had gone mad from the trickery that she had to be solidified in stone."
Loki tried not to roll his eyes and frown at the servant. Instead he raised his eyebrows in interest. "Loki and Sigyn?"
"Yes, we heard you tried to annul their marriage but our fallen Allmother was against it," the servant gulped. He hoped he didn't cross the line.
"My son did marry Sigyn," Loki portrayed remorse with happiness tinged at the edges. "I did not annul their marriage for the sake of both Frigga's and Loki's happiness."
"Happiness?" The servant was confused. "Lady Sigyn thought she was marrying Theoric and married Loki instead. Isn't that why you had a retrial and locked him up?"
"Sigyn and Loki have always been together when they were younger, as much if not more as Thor and Sif were," Loki explained while trying not to lose his nerves. "It is a complicated story but Sigyn was sincere about her swear to marry Loki." He didn't speak about the rest.
"Oh," the servant left his mouth open. "Next-next rumor. Thor is not going to be the next King of Asgard."
"That is true," Loki sighed. "Thor will still protect the Nine Realms but is focused on protecting Midgard. Midgard has many troubles. If there are any more rumors, please have them written down. I will sift through them when I have a chance. Asgard is still fragile from the last battle, we cannot let ourselves break down our foundation. We must stay strong to overcome these obstacles." The servant nodded before bowing again to leave. Loki headed in a different direction. Loki informed the officials about the rumors he had heard. He wanted something to help ease the minds of Asgard. Loki ordered them come up with something to help the transition. He had some in mind but wanted to see what his officials could come up with. He listened to the banter as he sat on the throne.
Loki enjoyed watching the officials bicker and get flustered to the point where the others had to keep them apart. He tried not to let his internal laugh come spewing out to echo through the chamber.
"We have come up with an idea," one official exclaimed. Loki seemed interested as he could with being disguised as Odin. "Fallen Allmother and fallen Prince both enjoyed the arts. We can create plays to commemorate them."
"Also, statues built in their honor," another added. "We are already building Allmother's statue in a few places but there could be two just for the royal theater."
Loki contemplated the ideas. "Go on."
The officials were happy. Odin, himself, had banned Heimdall for going against his orders during the Dark Elf battle. Odin could have reinstated him but Odin was still angered about losing his wife. Odin had not gotten over Heimdall's idea of resistance towards him. Odin's words are just and should not be given second though. The Warrior's Three and Lady Sif were not as severe but they could not leave Asgard unless Odin permitted them. Odin had given Lady Sif the task of capturing Lorelei and a few other high-risk prisoners that escaped when Loki was freed. She scoured across the Nine Realms for each of them.
When Loki came back to Asgard after reclaiming his wife in Jotunheim, he placed Odin under an enchantment. Sending Odin to Midgard at a nursing home to be cared for until Loki had believed the nurses had caught on that Odin was not a Midgardian. The enchantment left Odin to seem like he had Alzheimer's. It was also a punishment and yet sympathy from Loki. Odin was the one who was supposed to fight against Kurse not Frigga. She was not supposed to be there. Loki also did not want Odin to fall further into despair. He wanted to end some of the suffering for now.
Loki appointed Skurge as the replacement for Heimdall one of his first tasks as Odin. He needed someone who was willing to do anything to prove himself. Skurge was that person. Loki could trust this oaf who wanted to win more merits to become a hero. It reminded him of someone close to him. A stone mason's son who trained to become an Asgardian Warrior. He was wanting to go on adventures and to boast about his tails. Loki did let him know that the upmost important job was to inform him that any arrivals, especially Thor, to Asgard. One job. Loki instructed. The rest he could use the Bifrost as much as he wanted only to practice making sure he could get those needed to Asgard safely. Skurge promised that he would not disappoint him.
"We can build the statues right away!" One official boasted.
Loki blinked away the memories he was reminiscing over. "Two statues around the royal theater."
"Yes," one official nodded his head while speaking. "Allmother's would be placed behind the theater but that area is where all of Asgard can see the theater. It would be grand since she will see all of us and we all will see her." The officials muttered and nodded. "And Lo-the fallen Prince would be out front, greeting us into the theater."
"I trust your judgement as if it was my own," Loki nodded once. "Proceed with creating memorials for them. There were other locations you had suggested."
The officials were looking towards one another before looking back to Loki disguised as Odin. "We were thinking of placing them in the royal garden. That was the other place those two loved the most. We-we were also wanting to create a couple's statue." The official bit his lip.
"Oh?" Loki perked up.
"It was going to be of the fallen Prince and his wife, even though you did announce that the two were actually in love, we don't know what became of his wife," he bowed his head. The others looked away as well.
Loki breathed in. "It is alright. This would be a late gift but a gift none the less. I did not approve of their marriage at first. Proceed with those as well but with one adjustment." The officials waited with anticipation. "The statues would be same height as their muse. During my stroll through the garden I want to feel as if they were there alive and well." Loki produced a heartfelt expression of pain and sadness across Odin's face.
The officials went for it. They nodded, bowed, and headed off to start right away leaving him all alone. Loki smirked as he enjoyed what is to come.
Sigyn had fallen asleep on the grass as the sun was drying her body. It was warm and inviting at the time. She woke up to the sound of one of the horses snorting.
"Huh?" Her heart pounded as she looked around to see where she was at. She rolled over. Muscles and joints were aching. It was never this bad when they had coitus even if it was rigorous and almost acrobatic. She robed herself. Her bosom was sensitive then it usually had been. Sigyn headed back into the house to nibble on food. Her hand clutched her stomach without thinking. Sigyn froze in spot. She turned her head to follow her shoulder down to her hand upon her stomach. She raised her head with a smile forming but then it subsided. It started to rise again but she placed her lips together before forming a thought. She needed to know for sure. Sigyn changed into a simple gown. She grabbed her cloak when she sensed Loki coming back. Sigyn hesitated. She didn't want him to know just yet. She had to be certain.
Loki sauntered through the house only to end up leaning on the door frame. He admired his wife. "I have some good news."
"Oh?" Sigyn placed the cloak back down.
"Bring it," Loki glanced at the cloak. Sigyn took the cloak back up again. Loki came over to help place it on her. He grabbed her hand, leading her through the house and the meadow to get back through the portals. Loki had snagged a cloak on his way out of their home. The two snuck through the night to sneak back into the castle. Loki would snag different fruits and would turn to place them in her mouth before sneaking back around to lead her through the streets of Asgard.
She chuckled at his actions. It was cute and sweet. He led her to royal theater. He stopped their trek as they were in front of it.
"Here," Loki whispered. "Where I am standing." He stepped away from her while changing his attire into his horned helmet and royal attire. This attire was a merging of his royal attire he usually wore and his recent attire that felt more like himself. His arms were spread open and his head tilted back. "A statue in my honor to memorialize my heroism."
"Ah," Sigyn stepped over to him. She gave him a peck. "What will the people think when they find out that their fallen Prince is still alive and up to his old tricks again?"
Loki shifted back to what he was wearing. His arms coming back to make sure the hood was hiding Sigyn's face. "Pah," he flipped his hood back on this his head. "Old tricks? I have new ones." He grabbed her hand, leading her through the theater. "There are going to be plays created and acted out here. Plays of my mother, plays of my life. And behind here." They were on the back side of the theater. "Mother will still get to oversee all of Asgard and all of Asgard will still be able to look upon her." Loki explained as he spanned all Asgard. Sigyn was more infatuated with him then the words he was speaking. He seemed at ease. A calm that most neglected as they were waiting for another trick from him. She gave him a smile as he came back to lead her into the castle.
The two were in front of the royal chamber. They had snuck in. Loki took off his robe, flinging it off to the side. He took off Sigyn's, placing it on a chair. He clasped her hands. "My Queen. All of Asgard kneels to me, their King, but I will only kneel to you," he started to kneel to her but Sigyn grabbed his arms. She shook her head. Loki raised an eyebrow. "I am willing to kneel and you reject me." He placed his hand on his heart. "I'm hurt."
Sigyn chuckled. "You are an equal. I never want to see you kneel before me. Even if it's like this."
"If that's the case," Loki came closer. "My Queen must never kneel either." He gave her a kiss. He picked her up and headed to the bed. "She can beg, plead, and scream but never kneel." He chuckled. "Only in front of me that is." Sigyn nipped at his neck. "Ow!"
Sigyn gave him a smug smile. "Tease." She grabbed his collar to bring him into a kiss. As she parted, she spoke in a soft tone. "I am not going to say that."
"What? Why not?" Loki pouted. "'Unsheathing the scepter', it's erotic."
Sigyn sighed. "That's as bad a Thor with his 'hammer.'"
Loki halted before he let out a laugh. "He really calls it that?! I knew it. Such an oaf-wait. How do you know exactly?" Loki moved her chin to face him. "You were inexperienced and I am your only, so?"
"Jealous?" Sigyn quipped.
"No, just wanted to know how perverted my wife was, that she had peeked in on her brother-in-law," he said matter of fact.
Sigyn blinked a couple times before answering. "I didn't mean to," she muttered. "I came across him on my travels in my early years. I tried to find where you were but in the end, I stumbled upon a scene that I wish I hadn't. The Mighty Thor and his 'hammer.'"
"Pounding away in some maiden who enjoyed his heroics," Loki continued.
Sigyn hid herself into his chest. "Don't make me remember the scene." Her voice muffled by clothes. Loki chuckled. "Don't laugh! I didn't have a grasp on my powers so I even felt their emotions even when I was taking the fallen to Valhalla."
"I won't, I won't," Loki pulled her away. "The only lewd scenes you are to imagine are with me or of just me. Either way is fine." Sigyn let out a laugh this time. He was relieved. "Come my Queen. Let the kingdom know the name of their King." Sigyn pounded her fist onto his chest.
"You're incorrigible," Sigyn stared at him with her cheeks flushed.
"I prefer the word mischievous," he kissed her while placing her on the bed. "Much more compelling."
