A/N: Okay, because I had a friend straight up call me "One of those cruel writers that stops updating," … I'm back for a moment.

It was bad enough that Dick adored Hal, but with this new Green Lantern running around, and it didn't help that even Hal and John didn't like him. Dick ran down the stairs to the Batcave excited.

"Bruce is he going to be there?" he demanded.

"I don't know Dick, I can't imagine why he would be though," he added. Dick had hack the League's database again and learned of the new human Lantern. He was bouncing on the balls of his feet. Today was supposed to be the day he came in for an interview for the League, if he came at all.

"I get to go right? I am no longer grounded," he added. Some how Bruce didn't ground Dick for long enough, banning him from the Watch Tower.

"Yes, you can come," he said. "Uniform," he reminded sternly.

"YES!" the 13 year-old yelled fist pumping the air, rushing to get into his uniform.

After one of the quickest uniform changes Bruce had ever seen Robin was waiting for him at the zeta-beam transport. Pulling on his cowl Robin grinned and rushed ahead of him to the Watch Tower.

Arriving at the Watch Tower Robin was already in conversation with Hal. Sighing Batman walked over to his partner and possibly one of the most annoying people in the world. The row of superheroes being interviewed by the conference room did not include the new Green Lantern. Slightly relieved that Robin would be spared of this man he went to the conference room with the other League members to start the interview, leaving Robin to his own devises. Which would probably be regretted later.

Already board Robin headed off towards the Watch Tower gym. This was going to be a long day. And the new Green Lantern wasn't going to be there. He should have gone to the Mountain and seen the Team. However the excitement of a possible new Green Lantern, well he couldn't pass that up.

Stopping in front of the gym's door he opened it. Might as well get some work done. Changing into his work out clothes in the lockers he walked out onto the gym's floor. Looking out over the view of space he started to warm up. Moving on to the rings he got to work. Not many of the Leaguers used the rings, so Robin knew Batman had them placed here for him. Smiling slightly at the thought Batman was actually a nice human he pulled himself up onto the rings and went to work.

After a few minutes he heard a knock on the window. Pausing, keeping himself parallel to the rings he turned his head. There covered in green was the new Green Lantern. Flipping off the rings he ran towards the window. Guy Gardner pointed in the direction of the entrance hatch. Nodding Robin rushed towards the locker room to change and meet the new Green Lantern.

Green Lantern came in through the entrance hatch for this possible League membership interview. He didn't really want to come, thus his late entrance. However the other two Green Lanterns threatened him that if he didn't show it would reflect badly on the corps and that it was "unacceptable" to ignore the summons of the most powerful group on Earth. In reality Guy didn't care for the whole "team sport" thing. It was not his team, or his sector. He was just here on the rare occasion he got off time. Or when he was under review with the Crops, even though his last mission was completely justified.

Entering the Watch Tower he saw a blur of red and yellow rush at him. Recognizing him as the boy that had been working out of the rings in the gym he now realized it was Gotham's young hero, Robin.

"You're the new Green Lantern!" Robin exclaimed excitedly. "What's it like? Being able to fly in space without a suit? What's it like being the Green Lantern Corps? Uncle Hal and Uncle John have told me, but you're newer to the Corps! So you have a fresh experience! Why are you on Earth? I thought that this was Uncle Hal's and Uncle John's sector."

"Slow down kid," Guy said surprised at his eagerness. "It's pretty cool being in space, the Corps is generally cool too, and I am on leave right now with the Corps my sector is being covered by a few others."

"That sounds like fun!" Robin exclaimed. "Oh can you take me in space? You are late for your interview anyways, and they are running over. Uncle Hall and Uncle John won't ever take me. Batman won't let them. But because he never gave you that order," Guy hesitated.

"Um… It doesn't sound like Batman would be happy," he said. Sure he wasn't one for rules, but Batman actually scared him, and the rumors around the Dark Knight, were well stuff the give a kid nightmares.

"Oh come on! Uncle Hal and Uncle John are too scared too, I thought you would be cooler…" Robin said disappointed. Sighing and not wanting to be less cool than John or Hal he felt himself caving and the face the kid was giving.

"Fine, let's go," Guy said. Robin beamed.

"Great! Let's go!"

Batman was so done with interviews he wanted to kill Superman for this idea and Guy wasn't there. John and Hal looked to not be surprised.

"And after what he did on Mogo," John was saying to Hal.

"Yeah, and Flash wants him on our team…" Hal muttered. "Oh…" Hal stopped looking out the window. Batman looked up. There was Guy Gardner with Robin in a green orb flying in space. Robin waved at Batman clearly excited. A loophole, Batman never told Guy Gardner to not take Robin out into space for some random space flight. Robin was happily chatting away to the new Green Lantern. Guy looked in the window to see Batman clearly unhappy, well more unhappy than normal. Batman watched as Guy looked at Robin and told him something. Robin clearly looked crest fallen. John and Hal followed Batman towards the entrance hatch. This would be too much fun to see someone else on the other end of his wrath.

"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? ANYTHING COULD HAVE GONE WRONG!" Batman yelled as soon as they entered Watch Tower.

"You do it all the time with Uncle Hal and Uncle John," Robin muttered. "You're alive."

"I DON'T KNOW HIM!" Batman shouted pointing at Guy, who was starting to attempt to move away.

"He was fine. He clearly has to be a decent person for a ring to chose him," he added. "Besides he is really nice I like Uncle Guy," he said. Guy stopped at the new title he had been given in a few short hours. All they talked about was trivial stuff, space flight, saving lives, personal interests. John and Hal looked at each other. Damn if Robin was calling Guy Gardner 'uncle' Batman couldn't really do anything but accept the guy and Robin knew that.

"Okay, okay," Batman said taking a deep breath. "Guy Gardner your interview," he said. "And you are grounded," he said to Robin.

"So worth it," Robin said. Rushing towards Guy he gave the new Lantern a hug. "I hope you join the League! It would be awesome to see more of you! Later Uncle Guy!" Robin declared rushing off.

"John, go and watch Robin, you don't need to be in the interview," he muttered. Hal looked at John as if he would do anything to switch places.

"You got it!" John said rushing off. Guy smiled at Batman.

"Sorry I'm late?"

A/N: Sorry it's been forever. Also this was pure fluff. Until next time!
