The day was as normal as it always was I was observing the screens in front of me that were telling me of the activity of the mass relays we use to travel mass distances in very little time we were traveling on the outer edges of our species area to police when my screens lit up telling me of an unauthorized activation of one of the mass relays in our patrol area at first I thought it was just some pirates or raiders that just reactivated one of the mass relays that we have deactivated but when I checked which relay it was I then realized that relay has never been activated before and that this may be a bigger problem than I was expecting, I decided that I needed to tell my supervisor of this since there would be big trouble if pirates learned how to activate relays that have never been activated before and that we would need to stop the information from spreading around I got up and immediately went to go find my supervisor that we should go track down the pirates and put them out of action so they couldn't spread the information around and cause chaos he agreed and told the captain of the information and we began to plot the course to where the ship that activated the mass relay should be the whole ship was told to get to battle stations and prepare for combat and boarding of the suspected pirates when we finally got sights on the other ship it was unlike any we had ever seen before but undaunted we continued to approach the ship so we could get them in range for our guns to start firing to disable the ship so we could board and detain the pirates we started trying to hail the ship to tell it to surrender and allow us to board but the ship was not responding and appeared to be getting into a position for combat when we got in range we started firing rounds meant to disable any shield they would have to protect their ships we fired a salvo from the broad side at the ship we all started amazed when the wheels seemingly did nothing almost like the ship did not have any shields but that couldn't be all ships of this size would have shields with some redundant systems to keep them from failing so the only option left was to believe the ship had no shields to speak of the captain than ordered us to load EMP rounds to disable the ship for boarding at that exact moment the enemy ship returned fire at our ship we all prepared for the shields to go down we watched amazed as the rounds hit and did nothing to the shields they just got disintegrated we then realized that this ship was either very unprepared and not experienced or this ship was very unadvanced so unadvanced that this could not be made by any civilization or specious we know of I watched as our rounds hit and the ship went dark and started drifting now was the time to board.
This log is of one of the first of our species to see the unknown species (Humans)
I had been sitting in our shuttle prepared to board the pirates when the order was given I had just finished final checks of my gear when we got the order to embark on the boarding and was warned that they did not know who to expect and to be prepared for anything our shuttle attached to the ship and started to get a seal so we could cut our way in and not depressurize the vessel we broke through the wall into what appeared to be a crew quarters with what seemed to be empty we pushed onward trying to locate the bridge on the ship so we could get information from the captain the halls were small and the ceilings were low that our heads sometimes scraped against the ceilings it didn't take long for us to find a defensive position of the enemy we were moving up when all of a sudden we saw a bunch of flashes from a door way ahead and loud booming come from our the door way the person in front got hit and went down when I pulled her back behind cover I realized that she did not have any burns from energy weapons she was killed by kinetic weapons who uses kinetic weapons anymore anyways I wonder as another on my team throws an incendiary grenade through the door we then promptly rush through the door knowing our personal shields will protect us from the fire we get through the fire to see that there is no one else besides the people caught in the grenades area we cannot tell what species they could be because of the fire but we know there must have been more so we start to check the room when we hear a noise from one of the rooms behind a door we stack up around the door preparing to breach it when the door suddenly opens and an alien species we have never seen or heard of before walks out with its hands up it had what appeared to be a white hat and a white suit it had what appeared to be a mostly hairless body besides the head it had two arms up in the air and looked to be surrendering and sounds was coming from it that we could not understand we concluded after restraining it and exploring the room that it was the captain of the ship and this was the bridge of the ship we then decided to extract the alien from the ship to be questioned.
It was later found out that the aliens specious was called humanity (homo sapiens) and on taking the ship there were 120 humans killed and over 430 taken prisoner after finding out there was a huge alien species that learned how to use the mass relay the ship that captured the humans requested backup so they could push through the mass relay to stop the humans this was the start of the Turains war on humanity known by humans as the first contact war after a month and thousands of Turians dying and hundreds of thousands of humans dying the council which had a Turian and two other species representatives voted to end the war and welcome the humans to the space station which has dozens of other species on it this was the beginning of the humans rise to power in the milky way galaxy.
