Chapter 1

Thor's POV

I stared up at the ceiling wishing that Niorun would give me a break. This was the third time this week and it was really starting to take a toll on me. It wasn't as if I didn't know what to do about the situation. I could at any minute fall through but I had a feeling that if I did I would have a lot more on my plate.

I sighed as I decided to sit up and stretch. All this thinking and decision making was making me not so tired anymore. I knew what I had to do. If only it was as easy as it sounds, I would have had the job done already. I got up out of bed and walked over to my desk. My phone was lying on it plugged into a charger.

I hesitated to pick up the phone knowing that once I made the call I couldn't take It back, I could change their fates with this one phone call. To know that I could possibly ruin these peoples lives was enough for me to make a double-take. But it had to be done. Without further ado, I picked up the device and decided it was now or never. I knew I probably wouldn't have the balls to do it any later.

I went through my contacts and when I found the number I tapped it. I knew there was no going back. I watched as the phone rung a few times before the person answered. "Hello, what a surprise, I didn't expect this".

Nico's POV

I had woken up in a pretty bad mood, especially since Will was nowhere to be found in my cabin. I had woke up about an hour ago and had decided that I might as well had gotten dressed. As I had finished getting dressed and fretting up in the bathroom I had decided to go find Will.

I locked my cabin door and went out to go find Will. Once I had arrived at the dining tent I saw a blond-haired boy talking to Chiron. I saw Will turn his head my way and he slightly smiled. I walked up to him and gave him a look.

I felt him move closer to me as Chiron called my name. "Nico I have a few things that I need to discuss with the two of you," Chiron says in a difficult tone.

I look at him and nod my head. I look over to Will and he's smiling but I knew it was fake. "Neeks come on sunshine," Will says as he grasps my hand interlocking it with his.

We follow Chiron into the Big House. I hadn't been in here since the war and I had a goal to stay out of it but it seems as if I've already failed that one. I knew nothing good ever happened in here.

"Will, Nico how nice to see you it's been a while since we've sat and talked," Chiron says.

After he said that I knew nothing good going to come out of this conversation. I was hesitant to say what I was going to say but if I was anything it wasn't a punk. "Chiron I know you think you need to sugar coat this but I would like it if you just would just spit it out already," I said in a blunt manner.

"Nico don't be so rude, he isn't the enemy" Will scolded. Chiron chuckles knowing he was getting on my nerves.

I rolled my eyes at Will's comment. Will then grabs my hand making me calm down a bit. "Well now that you have an idea Nico of what's going on there is no reason to delay this any longer," Chiron says in a diplomatic tone.

"You two are required to go to Midtown Manhattan for a quest," He says. I sucked my teeth frustrated that we had to do more work right after the war. "This is absurd and you know it is" I complained. I looked over at Will to see what his opinion about this was.

Will's POV

I sighed, this is not fair but I knew that there wasn't anything I could do about it. "What is the quest and where are we going" I say in a monotone voice. Chiron stares at us for a bit before saying " Well before we can send you we have to go to the Oracle".

I laugh nobody called it the oracle anymore since Rachel Dare was it. Plus she told us it made her feel weird. I sighed and said " Neeks let's get this over with, are you down". He looked at me like I had four heads " Ragazzo did you really think I would let you go without me even if Rachel says I'm not supposed to go I'm still gonna go".

I laughed at his statement, he didn't see anything funny about the situation but it was always funny to see him be so serious. "Of course death breath I wouldn't have it any other way" I told him happily. He gave me a quick smirk before looking back to Chiron for our next step.

We were going to then find Rachel but her being the Oracle and all she found us. We looked at Chiron and he gestured his hand towards Rachel. I breathed in and took Nico's hand.

We both looked at Rachel while she smiled at us probably already knowing what was going on. " Hey guys whatcha here for" Rachel cheekily asked us. I smirked at her weirdness and said " Oracle tell me what I need to know".

Her eyes suddenly started to glow green and smoke started coming out of her mouth as she says.

Two boys from dark and light shall take charge,

As they fight to protect what is rightfully there's,

Differences in belief shall help them learn,

Why it is important to bend and earn ,

Teams from the city shall take a trip into a demigods present,

While demigods will become more than woke into an avengers future

Rachel's eyes all of a sudden stopped glowing as she gently fell to the floor, but Nico caught her just in time. Nico then smiled at me. " Well I guess we better get going boyfriend". I blush and turn my head "Yeah let's go". I turn to Chiron as he waves us off to go pack.

But before we leave Chiron calls us back " Before you guys go pack I want you to know that there will be someone here to pick you guys up to bring you to Midtown at 9 be prepared and may I wish you the best of luck".
