Two chapters in a row?! Is it Christmas yet?! Not really, but I feel like this story needs to end properly before then.

Anyway, yeah, this is the final chapter of the story, and of the Lux-Umbra duology in general. What a ride, right?

Normally, I'd have a lot to say about my experiences with this duology, but to be honest, this year has been so crazy I don't know if I can put my thoughts into words, even if I only focused on this story.

So for now, I'll say this; thanks to everybody who read this story, or even the duology starting with Magna Auguratricis. It was a lot of fun to write a magical girl-themed story for The Loud House for once, but I think I'll keep to the average conventions moving forward.

Ignoring harem and Loudcest, of course.

Not gonna reply to reviews here either, mostly to let you reach the story proper. But regardless, to all my reviewers, thank you for reading, I really appreciate it.

So, for the last time, let's head to the chapter.

A blurry, electronic vision turned on, static filling it before slowly clearing up, revealing the Loud siblings, Lily and Lisa in particular, surrounding the owner of the vision.

An owner who just so happened to be Stella.

"Huh?!"

"Welcome back to life!" Lily said.

"What's going on? Why am I in the Loud House? Why am I surrounded by the Louds?! And most importantly," Stella looked at her dress. "Who had the bright idea to put me on a dress!?"

"You were reactivated, you're here because we live here, we're surrounding you in case you go nuts, and Leni," Lily explained.

"Consider it a bit of, like, payback," Leni said with a smile.

"So, wait, I kidnap and mind control you and all you do is put me on a dress?" Stella asked in disbelief. "What would it take to make you take actual revenge? Kill someone?"

"That's a discussion for another day, called never," Lisa replied. "Anyway, you should be thankful we reactivated you. Lily here, though a bit hesitant, decided to give you another chance."

Stella eyed Lily with confusion, and she explained:

"You said it yourself, Tetherby created you to be his mouthpiece, but you never said you had a choice. I thought, if we reactivated you and gave you a chance, maybe you could turn over a new leaf. Become a better version of yourself."

Stella smirked. "And what if I just so happen to be just as bad as I used to be?"

The Loud siblings summoned their weapons and aimed them at Stella.

"You can summon your weapons?!"

"The Earth and The Twilight World are now one and the same," Lisa explained. "That means the magic has returned, and everybody has magical abilities, including us. And of course, summoning a weapon is part of those abilities."

"Okay, duly noted," Stella sighed. "How long has it been since that happened, anyway? How long was I deactivated?"

Lily hummed. "Well, we're on summer now, so I'd say it's been about... four months."

"Wait, summer?!" Stella exclaimed. "You mean I missed most of the semester?!"

"Yeah, but don't fret, Lisa took the liberty of importing all the knowledge from the first semester into your databank," Lily waved her hand. "I'll teach you how to access it later. For now, though, we have to get going."

Stella raised an eyebrow. "Where?"

"You'll see. Follow me."

Stella got off wherever she was sitting and obliged, following Lily's lead until they reached the door, which Lily opened to reveal Darcy outside.

"Hi, Darcy."

"Hi, Lily... and Stella too?" Darcy put a hand on her hip. "So, you reactivated her after all."

"I thought she deserved at least the benefit of the doubt."

"I would've preferred if she turned into scrap metal for what she did, but hey, you do you. Anyhow, are you ready to go?"

Lily nodded, and the trio waved goodbye to the sisters, and left soon after.

As the trio walked to their destination, Stella looked at the sky, analyzing it with a surprised expression.

"Nice day today?" Darcy quipped.

"The world didn't change as much as Tetherby expected," Stella remarked with disappointment. "He predicted the world would've turned monochromatic, or if not, the skies would've."

"No, they only do that during the witching hour."

"The witching what now?"

"The time between midnight and 1 AM," Lily clarified. "Anyway, we've arrived."

Stella and Darcy looked up... and the former froze upon seeing the entrance to a graveyard.

"You took me... to a graveyard?"

"We're not planning to bury you alive, if that's what you think," Darcy said.

"Why would you turn me on only to kill me later?" Stella pointed out. "And besides, if you want to show me Tetherby's grave, I already know he's dead: he was declared as such after the fiasco from ten years ago."

"Close, but not quite," Lily replied. "You'll see what I mean soon enough."

Stella kept following Lily and Darcy into the graveyard, her circuits shivering within as she scanned her surroundings, and in particular, the tombstones surrounding them.

She kept doing this until the trio stopped at a tombstone with a certain name engraved on it:

Harriet Loud.

Before Stella could show proper shock at the revelation, Lily reached for her back and took out Harriet's journal, which she placed on the tombstone as she said:

"It's finally over, Great Grandma Harriet. The cycle that you started without meaning to has been stopped once and for all. The Earth and The Twilight World are now one and the same, and though it'll take a long time before people get used to it, I have confidence that they will."

"She does know she can't communicate with Harriet by speaking to her tombstone, right?" Stella whispered to Darcy, who shushed her in return.

"Thanks for all the help you provided us, Great Grandma Harriet. And don't worry, we don't hate you for starting the cycle. We know you didn't mean it. And, well, we'll keep moving forward, and if something happens that threatens the world, you can count on us to stop. Rest in piece, Great Grandma Harriet, you've earned it."

And with that said, Lily turned back to the duo, and said:

"Well, we're done here, and it's the summer. Anything you wanna do?"

"Let's go to Dairyland!" Darcy chirped.

"I never got the chance to go there, actually," Stella blurted.

Next thing she knew, Darcy grabbed and lifted her, running out the graveyard as she shouted:

"Works by me! Dairyland, here we come!"

"Hey, wait, how are you strong enough to hold me?!"

Lily chuckled and shook her head. "Well, at least everything's fine now."

Lily looked back at the tombstone before she chased after the duo, leaving just in time for a ghostly figure to come out of the tombstone.

They looked at the journal, grabbed it, and watched Lily's form disappearing in the distance.

The figure smiled and looked back at the journal, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you, Lily."

The End
