he hissed. "The one and only," Shadow said. Sonic glared at him, "Why are you here?" Shadow ansered evenly, "I could ask the same." "She was my friend!" the blue hedgehog said savegly. The other hedgehog stepped forward untill they were nose to nose, "And yet its your fault she's not here." "What do you mean," Sonic stepped back. Shadow did not anser his question, "What do you MEAN?!" "Did you ever consider that she wouldn't go home? That she would stay untill her tears were spent?" Shadow asked. Sonic just stared, "She didn't go home?" Shadow nodded a grim smile on his face, "Glad to see you've cached on."
"Why do you care?!" he yelled. Shadow looked down at his feet, then back up again. "She was the first of your world to show me kindness," the black hedgehog explained, "therefor I am forever in debt to her." Sonic stared again, "You? In debt to Amy?" The name hung in the silent air that was filled with snow. The other hedgehog nodded again. "We have to look for her," Sonic said franticly. "You can," Shadow said-, "I'm not."- and walked away. The blue hedgehog yelled after him, "I thought you were in debt to her!" Shadow looked back. "I am," then kept walking.
