Henry's POV
Henry let out a shaky sigh. He felt really strange, a little dizzy, even. He wanted to sleep. Were they going to do the same thing as they did to him to Faith? He hoped they weren't going to hurt Faith. She seemed friendly and curious, as if she were trying to help. Oh well, there wasn't anything he could do.
Ellie's POV
Ellie angrily sighed. "You know what?" Ellie looked at Charles. "What..?" Charles looked up at Ellie. She felt sympathetic for him, and she was worried about Henry too. "We're going to look for Henry." She strictly stated. "What!? Shouldn't we leave that to the police?" Charles protested. "Charles, we work for the government. The government. Or would you rather wait longer to see Henry again? 'Cause if you're not coming, I'm going to find him myself." Ellie snapped. "...Woah. Okay, we can look for him. I... I do want to see him again soon." Charles stuttered a little while speaking. Ellie calmed down, she was just... concerned. "I won't let anyone do anything to him." Ellie rested her hand on Charles' shoulder. "I can promise you that."
"Thanks... Ellie." Charles nodded.
"Okay, where are we looking first?" Charles sounded determined.
Henry's POV
Faith was taking forever. What were they doing to her? Hopefully not anything too bad. Henry heard the door starting to unlock and open. He glanced up. It was the scientist, and she had Faith with her. She pushed her back into the empty room and closed the door again, locking it. "Hey. Henry. Good news, they don't know that I can control my vines. They think I'm helpless!" Faith said. That was good news! "I can start breaking the walls, and when it cracks, I can shove my vines into the crack and break it open."
Henry nodded. But just how are they going to crack the wall?
Ellie's POV
"Here! This could be a place he could be held hostage at." Ellie called. "At the old toppat base? Ellie, we've got almost all of them arrested. There's gotta be no way they kidnapped Henry." Charles replied. "Well, it couldn't hurt to look. There's always a chance that he could've been kidnapped here." Ellie answered. Charles sighed. "I guess you're right..." He spoke, landing the helicopter. They exited the helicopter, and looked at the destroyed base. "Where should we begin our search, Charles?"
Henry's POV
They chose a spot in the ceiling, and Faith stretched her vines, and began gently bashing a spot in the ceiling. Henry could tell she was trying to be quiet about it. Henry really wanted to sit down, he felt as if he were going to pass out, but he kept standing, trying to hear if the scientist was coming, or if the ceiling was about to break. He was Faith's eyes, since she was going blind. Henry blinked a few times to keep himself awake. It didn't help, though. His vision began to fade, and he passed out.
Ellie's POV
"Did you find anything?" Charles asked through the headset. "No luck, but I'm going to keep searching." Ellie answered. She stepped over a vine that had been growing in the place she was searching in. She left the small area. "Argh, where is Henry!?" She muttered to herself. Ellie swore under her breath. "Please come back to us safely..." She whispered.
Henry's POV
"Henry? Henry, wake up!" Henry heard the feminine voice of Faith as he slowly opened his eyes. His head rang. "Henry! You're awake!" Faith offered him a hand to help him up. Her hand was covered in cuts. Henry took the help. "Ouch..!" He heard Faith murmur. "Sorry." Henry signed. "No, no. It's not you're fault. I mess with my vines and cut my hands with the thorns. The Wall won't let me wear gloves." Faith told Henry. "Because it's hard to see the thorns on my vines."
Henry felt bad for Faith. She seemed youthful, and she had to be a test subject and was going blind. "I don't want to offend you. How old are you?" Henry signed. "I'm seventeen years old." Dang! She hasn't even been to college yet and she had to deal with this! The next to he saw Dmitri and he had the chance, he'd make sure he was gone.
Charles' POV
Charles shakily sighed. "Please, my sweet Henry, where are you? Come back to me!" He murmured under his breath. He sighed again, feeling tears well in his eyes. "Why? This is all my fault! If I just didn't take too long on that stupid test, this wouldn't be happening!" His normally cheery self became a broken, shattered pilot who just wants to see his lover again. What happened to him?
