The hot water felt good against my skin. Slowly I looked down at the water to see dirt going down the drain. I sneered softly doing my best to scrub down. As I did this in silence, I thought about what Otto and I did last night. Would it happen again? Would he want that? I mean I didn't mind, especially if they were going to be sticking around. If it's a rule I can't be with someone else, somebody was going to give me what I needed that much was true. I heard a noise coming from outside my room. I looked up only to see the curtains come open and standing there was a naked, glaring Axel. I turned my body from him now.
"What the hell?" I asked. He gave me a skeptical look.
"Don't be shy now. You said to shower before breakfast and I did say I would be staying in this room, so it's only logical we shower together since no one is shy about nudity…" he said suddenly just stepping inside the shower. I looked him over as I took some steps back so he could stand before the shower head. He leaned his head back the water sliding right down his head, drenching his hair. "Did you have fun with my brother last night?" I just stared at him with a frown.
"What business of it is yours?" I asked. He shot me a glare.
"It is my business if you're planning to use him." he said seriously, but I could see the protectiveness in his eyes. I just shook my head and continued to wash.
"Your brother is a grown man. He can do what he wants… you all can." I reminded and he scoffed some lathering his cloth now and running it over his shoulders.
"We are all agents, partners, I need to know I can trust you and I need to make sure all my brothers do not get distracted and get themselves killed." he stated. I nodded slowly.
"I guess it is time to establish some rules then since you all will be staying here." I replied. He nodded. "Well if I cannot fuck anyone while you all are around, which is going to be for at least six months, common knowledge says we are bound to fuck each other. Care to change that rule?"
Now he looked up as if thinking sighing heavily before shaking his head, strands of his blonde tresses falling over the sides of his face as he looked at me.
"No."he stated bluntly. Now I tilted my head utterly confused.
"What?" I croaked and he nodded.
"My rule stands. As you said my brother is grown. You want to fuck him fine, as long as you do not lead him on and hurt his feelings you may do what you want with him." he said. I looked him over for any signs of deceit before I shook my head.
"You have nothing to worry about. Nothing will turn romantic, I am sure. Most men these days aren't ready for commitment anyways in this time." I replied. He frowned slightly.
"You cannot compare him to the boys of your time." he said. I nodded feeling bad for doing so.
"I know. Sorry." I replied and in response he just leaned his head back into the water. Once we were both clean, we stepped out of the shower and dried off. He got dressed in his briefs, a white flannel and a black vest.
"Now will you please go make breakfast? We are all hungry." he said opening the room door to me. I rolled my eyes moving from the room. I made sausages, grits and eggs. Now we were all sitting at the table. I watched them eat mostly.
"I'm sure we will have another assignment soon, but we still need to discuss rules." I replied. The brothers looked at me curiously.
"Clean up." Axel replied.
"No commanding." Oscar added.
"No violence." Otto finished. I nodded.
"Yes, but that was for when you were just passing through for assignments. Since apparently you all will be here as semi-permeant residence we will need to discuss more." I replied. Now the three brothers looked at each other almost annoyed, probably because I would be talking more than they'd like. I shrugged. They could suck it up. "You all will help pay for food. I only had food for me but now I have to feed you three, we will need more. If you plan to bring girls over to do lord knows what with, fine, just don't be loud or break any of my things."
Now all three men winced. Axel shook his head.
"We are not interested in women of this time. We bring no one here." he said, and I looked at him curiously before waving it off in my mind. I was sure his body would betray him soon and they'd go out to get laid. I didn't have time to discuss that.
"Fine. But if anyone feels they are missing their home, let me know and I will take you back." I replied and they just gave me a look as if saying that wasn't likely to happen. It seemed I wasn't getting rid of them any time soon. As much as I hated that we couldn't stay in our own worlds, I didn't want to receive a call questioning me on why I wasn't with my "partners". Wherever they were, I had to be. It's what I was trained for. But these brothers lived on a farm, from what I saw. Did they even know how to live the city life? Guess I would get my answer soon. I mean I still had a life, even though I didn't work due to having my money from the Commission, I still had friends and hobbies I would still continue to do what made me happy. And I was sure they would find things they liked.
How wrong I could be. They clung to the house and to each other. Every assignment given to us, they seemed to be in their zone and were honestly mindless when pointed in the direction of a target. I remained in the background helping them when they decided to speak to me. Like now, we were in a hotel in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania in 1987 where the boys were tasked with taking four brothers out a crime family. Two fo the four brothers were dead, but of course they got into an all-out brawl with some of the gang's family and retreated to regather themselves.
I was standing in front of Oscar stitching up the cut over his eye brow. He was just staring up at me, gazing at me. I grinned down at him.
"Someone was not able to dodge the glass window huh?" I asked. He just smirked in response and I smiled before gently patting his cheek softly. I was slowly bonding with the brothers more than I had liked to admit. Otto liked his hunting and the rare times he spoke numerous sentences it was about hunting. Oscar, didn't care for anyone else really aside from his brothers, but I did notice he liked to watch me dance whenever I was cleaning the house and had my headphones in. I definitely caught him dancing in his room when no one was looking. Axel, he was still not trusting of me. I was sure none of them trusted me like they trusted each other which was fine with me. As long as I did my job, I didn't care. I turned my attention to Oscar. He pointed to his back and turned to sit on the bed. They all took a beating. He removed his shirt and coat revealing a black and blue bruise peppered over his back.
"I know you three have a high tolerance for pain, but could you use your brains a little and avoid getting too badly injured? They were expecting you now that you killed their own and know your face." I said moving to pull out some cream from my bag. Axel was sitting at the small table, his face peppered with small cuts. He looked at me with annoyance and I just shrugged and started to rub the ointment on in silence. His skin is soft, but not as hot at Otto's. I gently massage his back to help the ointment move deeper into his skin. He remained still as if the pain wasn't bothering him. These bruises were large too.
There was a sudden banging on the door and now we all looked up, tensing heavily. The air was thick suddenly in the room. We all looked at each other before suddenly, the hotel door is kicked open and immediately the sounds of automatic shots filled the room. Before I could think, my body is being grabbed and swung over the bed and I land on the ground behind the bed. Oscar's face is inches from mine as he stares at me hard, his eyes telling me not to move. He gets up and disappears over the bed and more gunshots are heard. Yelling and cussing filled the room. I was shaking violently as I shut my eyes. Everything happened so fast and I heard thuds dropping to the ground.
Everything went silent in my head as I kept trying to plan for escape if the brothers should fail. I shut my eyes just waiting, listening to the yelling. I opened my eyes to see a trail of bullet holes coming down the wall to my right, breaking the glass and my eyes widened as I hurried and scooted my body up just in time for my head to meet the wall where the head of the bed was at. The trail of bullets missed my toes. There was silence finally and I just stared at the ceiling thinking this may be the day I died. There was one more gunshot and I jumped wondering who that bullet was for. I closed my eyes thinking of my home, and preparing to teleport back.
"Anja!" I heard Otto yell. My eyes opened suddenly upon hearing the familiar voice.
"Anastasia!" Axel called out and now I looked up to see all three brothers rushing to the foot of the bed and looking down at me and I sat up and Axel held his hand out to me and I lifted my hand to meet his and he pulled up from the spot. I just stared at him before looking at Otto and looking at Oscar. Neither of the three men looked hurt, but all three were covered in blood. I looked at Axel with weak eyes and he looked almost taken back at the motion before I just leaned in and wrapped my arms around his neck. He tensed heavily, but I didn't care. I then stretched my arms out and gripped both Oscar and Otto's shirts and pulled them into me doing my best to hold all three of them.
"I'm so glad all three of you are okay." I replied with relief before stepping back and letting them go so they could properly recoil like they wanted. I straightened myself up and looked over at the five dead men on the ground. Blood painted the walls everywhere. I slowly walked over to the men to look them in the faces recognizing two of the five men.
"Well we got our last two brothers." I said reaching in to take out my phone and take pictures of their corpses. The sounds of sirens were going through my ears and I just looked at the boys who just stared at me with their usual blank stares. Axel and Otto put their hands on Oscar's shoulders and then raised their other hands out to me. I just grabbed my bag off the floor and moved up to them taking their hands and giving them a light squeeze before closing my eyes.
Once we were back home, I could feel sick immediately from teleporting after my body hadn't calmed down completely from the craziness. Once we were in my living room, I just ran from them and headed to my room quickly already feeling everything in my stomach coming up. I made it to my toilet just in time to vomit everything up. God it felt good to just throw up in my own toilet. After just staying on my knees for a bit and flushing I finally got up and got desaturated. After about an hour, I noticed how silent it was in the house, so once I moved out into the living room, I found the Swedes, passed out on the floor together. They had removed their jackets and pants and were now just in t-shirts and briefs. I observed their faces and noticed all three had a slight innocence about them when they slept.
They looked almost peaceful and content on my ground. I couldn't help but smile some. I made one move toward the kitchen and started to move through my cabinets and fridge. They ate up most of my food! I finally turned to face them only to see them awake and standing up looking at me curiously. I sighed and crossed my arms.
"Who wants to go to the farmer's market with me?" I asked. I noticed they did their best to eat as healthy as possible and rarely took up my offer for junk food I ordered in so I thought maybe a farmer's market would be something they'd like. Their eyes indeed flexed in interest and all three nodded.
