Welcome back to another chapter of AWoHT!

Now you the the truth of how it all started. Next you will see how things build up to the current situation. Hope you all will still be curious as more of the story unfolds.

Hmmm..., you already know this. Disclaimer here. I'm don't any of the characters, they belong to Masashi Kishimoto; just this single plot going on is from my imagination.

Now, let's get back to the story!

Chapter 8: How it was All Hidden

Konohakure no Sato

"The next day, once we both woke up, I pulled her to meet the Hokage and tell him everything." Sasuke continued. "Once we informed him, we knew that Naruto had to be checked and since we couldn't let anyone in the village know of the situation, Sandaime-sama called for Jiraya-sama who was they told to find and send Shizune to the village as soon as possible".

Everyone in the room seems to be totally distraught. All emotions were in a turmoil listening to what Naruto had to go through. Most of Naruto's friends were finding it even hard to soak in what she had been through and hid from them. They all seemed to be unable to move. They could only listen to Sasuke recollecting the past.

"Meanwhile, we decided on who we could trust this information with and how to help with Naruto's mental stability. That's how all the adults in this room got involved along with Shikaku-san and Inoichi-san".

"Tōsan and Shikaku-oji knew about this?", Ino asked in surprise.

"Hm… We needed a mind-healer. But since we couldn't get anyone from the Hospital, it was decided to get Inoichi and Yūgao to help her with the trauma. Genma, Raidō, Iwashi, Yamato and Kakashi were informed to capture that bastard. Also, since most of the people who knew that she was Yondaime-sama and Kushina-sama's daughter, Saidaime-sama felt she could get the support she deserved from them. Shikaku-san helped in planning to find that bastard and Ibiki-san and Anko tortured and interrogated him. I was bought into the picture because Naruto felt comfortable around me." Answered Iruka.

"Hope that bastard got what he deserved for what he did to Naruto", said Tenten.

"He did get what he deserved, to an extent, but he died too soon. If it was in our hands, he would have suffered thousand times more before we allowed him to die", responded Kakashi, anger still radiating from him.

"About three weeks later, I arrived here and I was immediately taken to Naruto to check on her. That's when we realised that she was pregnant." Shizune decided to continue with the story. "We all begged her, but Naruto wouldn't allow us to perform an abortion on her. So Sandaime-sama decided to tell Naruto the risks of her going on with the pregnancy as a Jinchūriki. But even after he told her about her parents and the circumstances after her birth along with my points on the consequences of giving birth at such a young age, she denied to go through with the abortion. She insisted that she would carry the child and give the child a decent life or she would die trying".

"So we formulated a plan to slowly make Naruto disappear without the knowledge of the other council members as if any of them got a hint of the truth, then there was a high chance of either Naruto getting into their clutches completely or an outbreak of civil war. We planned to make it such that Naruto failed that semester, as there were only a few weeks left and Sandaime-sama had no choice but to get her personally tutored so that she could be the 'weapon' she was intended to be", Kakashi said as he spat out the last sentence before continuing further. "It was also decided that Naruto and Sasuke would act like they still hated each other but Naruto would live with Sasuke until she was moved into a safe house."

"Before she was moved to the safe house, at least one of us including Sasuke was around her or keeping an eye on her at all times. Then, once we moved her into a safe house after the semester ended, all of us Jōnin, took turns in looking after her. Shizune couldn't remain in the village for too long without arousing suspicion. So she stayed in nearby villages and checked on Naruto once in a while. We continued this until her delivery. For her delivery, even though she knew all of her risks, she had decided that she either wanted either Iruka or Sasuke to be with her as she considered them the closest to family. Sasuke used to almost regularly visit her in the safe house as one of us would bring him there." Kakashi continued to give the important to-know points as the rest weren't exactly a need-to-know. "When she went into labour, Iruka couldn't be pulled out last minute as classes had just started around that time. So, Sasuke came in with her. Sandaime-sama and I remained inside the hideout outside the village as we both had knowledge of Fūinjutsu. Shizune and Kurenai lead the delivery process while the rest remained outside as a precaution for both threats from inside and from outside sources."

"Luckily, all the gods seemed to be on our side as neither did the Kyūbi try to escape nor did any of the villagers or council members find out. So the only damage was those that her body had to go through to be able to give birth at such a young age. Later, they both were moved from one place to another so that all of us could help her learn how to take care of a kid. This happened for a few months after which she finally settled down in the Uchiha estates with Sasuke. We still kept the appearance that Naruto lived in her old apartment with either Naruto herself or one of us would Henge to her to do so. This went on even after Naruto joined back to class and till she graduated." Kakashi finally decided to end there.

Taking note of the end, the Rookies decided to take up their questions, some important, others just to satisfy their curiosity. Some medical-related about her health that was answered by Tsunade and Shizune. Others about how Naruto manage it. Finally, a question that all wanted an answer but didn't feel that they deserved it after being so ignorant about Naruto's life.

"T-Tsu-Tsunade-sama, if it is alright and N-Naruto would be okay with it, could we get to know about the k-k-kid she g-gave birth to? We'd understand if you d-don't tell us. W-we h-haven't even been there for her in her most desperate times", stuttered Hinata.

Yup. An abrupt stop. But you will know the kid's name in the next chapter. Any guesses?
