Now, back to the story, it is!

Chapter 10: Another hidden truth? Yes.

Konohakure no Sato

Most seemed to have forgotten the presence of the Uchiha. Some even jumped at his sudden voice. Once they heard his question, the one who still didn't know about it, looked confused. The rest though didn't know how to answer him. They all knew the love between the adoptive siblings but at the same time, a part of them all could never forgive Sasuke for abandoning Naruto. They didn't even want to see his reaction as they had an idea of what might happen. They knew he wouldn't back out from destroying the village if he let his anger out. So they all kept quiet allowing someone else to break the news.

Sasuke looked at each and every one of those who knew both daring and begging them to give him the answer. Finally, Neji decided to provide the answers as he knew that no one else wanted to face the Uchiha's wrath.

"After you left a freaking hole in her chest, Kakashi brought her to the hospital as soon as possible", he started. "Even with the Kyūbi's chakra healing her, her wound was too severe and wasn't healing up fast enough. So when Tsunade-sama closed up the wounds, she was very weak and had lost a lot of blood. Therefore, it was decided to keep her in the hospital itself as they still didn't have many resources to move her to the hideout or somewhere else. Everyone tried to spare in time so that at least one person was there to protect her until she was back to half of her strength so that she could be taken to the safe house where Iwashi and Raidō still kept Ume-chan and the Konohamaru Corps."

"A little over two days after that, Tsunade-sama had come to check on her and be with her until Yamato could come from his mission. But she was suddenly called for an emergency meeting by the council. She didn't want to go but they had arranged the meeting to decide on Naruto's fate. So she had no choice but to leave a shadow clone and go. Soon after, this clone was attacked by some root members and they didn't allow the clone to disappear and provide Tsunade-sama with the memories of the attack. They took the clone and left the hospital. Sometime later, some villagers, who still hated her, heard the news somehow and they came and attacked her." Neji said.

A few gasps were heard but no one interrupted. Instead remained silent and let him continue.

"The Iryō-nin and medics in the hospital didn't even blink an eye, let alone prevent it from happening", he spat. "Naruto woke up while she was being beaten up and tried to fight but she was still in a weak state. So she tried to hide. But even that was futile as the villagers didn't allow her to escape. She screamed and called for help but no one was around to help her. Again. After they felt that they had taken out enough hate and anger on her, they left. Well, most of them did. Just when she thought she could hide and take cover until someone she knew came over, a handful of villagers who had been hiding came out and caught her. Those rascals locked the door, covered her mouth and forced themselves on her."

They were sharp gasps from the Rookies again. The killer intent rose to new levels. So much that all the civilians and Genin in the village were brought down to their knees with fear. Majorly from Sasuke who was ready to tear the village apart. He was being restrained by Kakashi, Genma, Asuma, Raidō, Gai and Iwashi while Iruka tried to calm him with words.

Yamato tried to distract Sasuke by continuing to tell about the events that occurred afterwards. "When I arrived near her room in the hospital, I could feel that something was wrong. I immediately rushed in and saw the room in rubbles. Everything was thrown around and lots of blood was on the floor along with some basic weapons coated in it. I sent a signal to the others and started searching for her. Finally, I found her hiding behind the toilet seat and a part of the cupboard door in the bathroom. Her clothes were torn everywhere and whatever was left hanging on her was soaked on blood. She was shivering and mumbling to herself and wouldn't respond when I called for her".

"When I tried to remove the door piece and touch her, she screamed. She wouldn't even look to see who it was. She just screamed and thrashed and tried to hide. I figured that she was in some kind of shock, mostly reliving a memory. So I kept my distance and tried to comfort her enough that she would come out. But she didn't. She wouldn't come out until Kakashi-senpai and Iruka-san got her out. Then, in Iruka's embrace, she cried her heart out. She wouldn't allow anyone other than those two to even come to an arms distance near her. But even when those two tried to heal her, she thrashed and tried to push them away. Slowly the Kyūbi chakra also started to cover her body."

"Finally, we had to rush in Hokage-sama and Jiraya-sama as the Kyūbi started to cover her body since she was so panicked. Jiraya-sama was able to put a seal on her to lock in the Kyūbi chakra and she fell unconscious. By then, Tsunade-sama had given most of us orders to remove the useless crowd around, stop the news from spreading across the village and find the culprits. Then, she went to check on Naruto and heal her. She came back after healing the severe external wounds and finally confirmed our theories". Yamato finished.

"We immediately removed her from the premise and took her to another safe house as we knew that she wouldn't want Ume-chan and Konohamaru-kun seeing her like that." Asuma took over. "Tsunade-sama realised that her clone was missing and immediately dispelled it. Once she got the memories, those of us who didn't stay back with Naruto went to take action and find those villagers and bastards as we didn't have any proof to show against Danzo to capture the Root members."

Sorry for the tiny chapters of late. Just trying to keep it even. But hope the content makes up for it.

I know I'm just making Naruto's life worse and worse. But that's what this story is here to uncover. Don't worry. There are some happy chapters coming up after a few chapters.
