Hey people!

Here is the last but one chapter of the whole learning of the backstory-section of this fanfiction. I can't believe, it has come so far!

Just one thing, here's the disclaimer. I'm don't any of the characters, they belong to Masashi Kishimoto; just this single plot going on is from my imagination.

Chapter 15: Naruto is what?

Konohakure no Sato

Sasuke's loath had no breaks. He knew that if he stayed any more in this village, he would probably destroy it. But wanted to keep the promise he made to his Imōto. So he tried to ask Tsunade again.

"Tsunade-sama, can I leave this village as well now? I'd rather keep one promise at least and not bring this hellhole to the ground", stated Sasuke firmly. "You know I have every right to leave. I'm not even a citizen of this village anymore."

"W-what do you mean, Sasuke-kun? You might be considered a rogue ninja for threatening the village and leaving the village but your Nuke-ninja status was removed as soon as Danzo was killed and Shishou took back her position", said a confused Sakura.

"Hn. You better tell them that also", was all Sasuke said as he looked at Tsunade.

Tsunade let you a sigh and spoke, "Sasuke is not a citizen of Konoha. Neither was Naruto. Not since before the Chūnin exams. They had asked sensei if they could leave the village whenever they wanted as Naruto wanted to go back and check Uzu. She has some kind of feeling to go there and if there was something, move there. Sensei had signed their papers and removed their Konoha ninja status. But the paper as confidential. That's why I never could put a bounty on your head and had to remove it once I took my seat as Hokage again. Also, Naruto requested that I didn't declare you a Nuke-nin and let you remain that way for as long as possible."

"If that is so, why did Naruto not leave? Why was she here until recently?", asked Neji.

"The papers side was only for Naruto-chan and Sasuke-kun. Even if those two left the village, they wouldn't have been allowed to take Ume-chan with them. Naruto couldn't get official documents of Naruto until she turned eighteen. So, Naruto stayed. Even when she went with Jiraya-sama, she knew she had to come back to get Ume-chan's documents. 'Cause otherwise, any one in Konoha could claim her back as a village citizen", answered Iruka.

"But that doesn't make sense", said Tenten. "She is the kid's mother. She should have all the rights over the kid. How can the village have it?"

"That's because she was born here. Also since her birth details have been hidden other than the fact that she was born here, Naruto wouldn't have been able to claim that she was related to Ume unless the whole file was brought into the open", stated Sakura. She knew about such details as she had to learn the medical laws within the village to become a full-fledged Iryō-nin.

"That's just cruel", replied Tenten.

"That's disgusting", added in Kiba.

"Yes, very unyouthful", stated Lee.

"And without telling the council the reason behind why you would want to change the rules, you couldn't have changed it. So, you all had no choice but to hide and wait", mussed out, Shikamaru, his thoughts.

"Yes…", agreed Shizune, "that's why we hid the fact about Naruto and Sasuke no more being a citizen of Konoha. Else, it would have caused a civil war here. Also, other villages might have put an even bigger bounty on Naruto's head".

"Wait! Naruto had a bounty on her head? Since when?", asked Ino.

"Stupid", Anko started. "That Gaki herself didn't have a bounty on her head specifically because none of the villages knew who the Jinchūriki of the other beasts were. But all Jinchūriki's have a bounty on their heads. Since she was no more a Jinchūriki of the village, if the villagers knew, the villagers here would feel that they could easily speak about the matter. This would lead to other villages learning her identity and trying to hunt her down." She explained.

Everyone now understood the full context. Every time they believed that all the truth was out, something new sprouted out.

"Did Konohamaru know of this?", asked Meogi.

"Hn", answered Sasuke. "Naruto rarely hid anything from Kono-kun. Before I left, Kakashi, Iruka, Shizune-san, Jiraya-sama and Tsunade-sama were the only ones who knew".

"Yes. Actually, for some time, it was just us. But when Naruto was attacked the second time, we let in the rest of the gang", answered Kakashi. "Naruto didn't want you both to know it yet. So we didn't tell you."

"So now, she is in Uzushiogakure? Wouldn't it be just barren land?", asked Sakura.

"Actually, this isn't the first time she went to Uzushio. The first time she went was to go through her second pregnancy. Jiraya-sama took them there." Explained Shizune. "I went there to check on her a few times during their stay there. Surprisingly, quite a few people were already living there. Many of the newer and older generations who were daring enough had come back to build the village again. They especially welcomed her with open arms. Since they realised that she was Kushina's daughter, they almost treat her like royalty." She chuckled.

"It was so funny seeing her squirm and act awkwardly around them. Most of them had been hiding in civilian towns and villages. A few were from places like Amegakure, Kusagakure and others from Kirigakure and Iwagakure as well. Now that the war is over and everyone knows Naru-chan, I expect that more of the original families will be returning to Uzushio".

The others just realised that Naruto was from royalty, the exact opposite of how she was treated in their village. Even from the perspective of their own village as well, she was royalty as she was related to the Senju lineage and was Yondaime's daughter, almost all of the Hokages. So, similar to all the other Hokage's children and grandchildren, the should have called her a princess. Instead, the village had committed a huge crime there itself. Yet, they couldn't believe that she had stood beside them and also in front of them as protection from the very start. The respect and admiration they had for Naruto had just increased tenfold.
