Erin woke up the next morning feeling less worn out and tired than she had the previous few days, and she rolled over to look at Spencer, who was still sleeping, his hair falling into his eyes. Reaching out, she brushed it away with the back of her hand before leaning in to kiss him delicately. A small smile quirked across his lips, but he didn't open his eyes, and she leaned in to kiss him again, a little harder that time. Once again, a quirk of lips, but nothing more. Finally, she straddled his body and leaned in to kiss him deeply, burying her hands in his shaggy hair as she continued the kiss. This time, his hands rose up to cup her bottom, squeezing firmly as she sat up and stared down at him. "Good morning, Spencer," she said, her voice still husky with sleep.
"Mmm, good morning." She gasped a little when he pulled off her pyjama top and then flipped her onto her back, kissing his way down her neck and upper chest before drawing a nipple between his lips and sucking on it firmly as his hand traced down her body to slip between her legs and tease her vulva. Erin opened her legs a little wider, allowing him access to her, and she sighed with pleasure as he thrust into her pliant body. She wrapped a leg around his hips and drew him deeper into her body, bowing her back upwards in order to come in closer contact with him as they made love. There was a languidness to their movements, and she sighed and whimpered as they worked their way towards completion. "This is the best way to start a morning," she gasped out as he collapsed atop her after their mutual orgasm.
"It is," he said as he stroked her hair. "We should probably get moving, though, if we want to make the walking tour at ten."
"Then I should probably shower quickly, as I don't want to smell like sex all day." Leaning up, she kissed him once more before slipping out of bed and padding into the bathroom and stepping into the shower, turning the water on and quickly washing her body, taking care not to get her hair wet, since she had washed it after returning from the beach the previous evening. After she'd finished, Erin wrapped a towel around her body and stepped in front of the mirror to brush her hair and then apply a light layer of makeup. Once she was satisfied with her look, she dropped the towel to the floor and stepped out into the room. Spencer was already dressed, and he had laid out an outfit for her on the bed. "You're amazing," she said lowly as she got dressed, twisting the ring on her finger as she took her purse from his hand.
"So are you." Spencer slung an arm around her waist and pulled her close as they made their way over to the elevators. "I'm going to take notes on the tour of places that I'll want to come back to. It's nice to find out the small tidbits, but I know that there are going to be a few places that we'll want to spend more time in."
"I agree, Spencer. This will be a good overview, though. As long as I can add a few places to our list?"
"Of course! This trip is about the both of us, after all."
She nodded as they stepped out of the elevator and made their way over to the restaurant. It seemed like the entire team had gathered at a table, and Alex gave her a welcoming smile as she waved them over. Erin let out a ghost of a sigh when she saw that the open seats were next to Derek and Alex, which was perfect, and she sat next to her friend and picked up the menu. "Oh, don't worry about ordering, Dave already took care of that, and asked the server to start the food once the last couple joined us. We just didn't think it would be you two," Alex teased.
"There was something that we had to take care of before we came down," she quietly replied, trying not to blush at the knowing smirk Alex gave her. "We're going on a walking tour this morning, what are the rest of you up to?"
Erin hoped her question would prove to be the distraction from her that she needed, and thankfully, Jennifer provided that. "Hotch and I are going to brave the medina, since everyone's been there except us. And I still need to find something for my boys. Especially since it seems like there will be a rather large change when we get home."
"Jayje?"
The young woman gave a pained look to Penelope before drawing in a deep breath. "Will has taken this entire vacation to be something that it is not, and has decided that after less than a year of marriage, I'm not the woman he's known for so long. He thinks that Hotch and I are screwing around behind his back. I just…" Jennifer broke off to pick up her cup of coffee, taking a long sip as she tried to collect herself. "I'll be fine, with time. It's just a shock to hear that you'll be receiving divorce papers after coming home from paradise for something you didn't even do."
Erin made a soft sound of commiseration in the back of her throat as she nodded. "I received divorce papers in rehab, so I understand the anger and frustration you feel, Jennifer. Even if I deserved what happened to me. Alan had been after me to get control of my problem for years, and I never listened to him. That jaunt was the straw that broke the camel's back. And my children wonder why I went back to rehab a year later."
Alex reached out and took hold of her hand, squeezing it almost painfully. "Alan always was a jackass."
"I should have listened to you, but I didn't. Then again, I wouldn't have my babies if I hadn't married him. So I suppose that in the end, I got the best end of the stick, since I have them, and now…"
Erin's voice slowly drifted off as she glanced over at Spencer, realizing what she had almost revealed. Still, it seemed like everyone at the table knew the truth that she couldn't say, judging by the looks on everyone else's faces, and her blush returned as she focused in on David. "I wish that I could say I arranged this, bella, but I had no idea who would get what number when we chose. Still, I'm glad that you're happy, even if it's not with me."
Erin blinked back tears as she nodded, squeezing Alex's hand a few times as she struggled to keep from bursting into tears. "I am happy here. With all of you. I can't believe that I've found my place here, with you all, and while I can't promise not to be a hard ass when we get back to work since there is a certain standard I have to follow, I'll try to be a little nicer. So, grant me a little grace?"
"Of course, Erin," Alex responded, squeezing her hand once more before clearing her throat and looking around at the others gathered. "We're here to make memories of the best time of our lives. Because we're here with friends who have fast become like family to me in these last six months." Erin nodded as their food started to be set down in front of them, and found herself famished, her heart settling with Alex's lovely words ringing through it.
