But before everything, the disclaimer has to be put. I'm don't any of the characters, they belong to Masashi Kishimoto; just this single plot going on is from my imagination.

So, that's done. Now, Chapter 3 in part 2 of the story!

Chapter 19: A new home

Outside of Uzushiogakure no Sato, 18 days before

After what felt like just a few minutes of walk, the six new arrivals landed in front of a gate-like structure. The walls around it were in a broken condition. Naruto stepped forward to the gate as she signalled the others to wait. She then bit her thumb and smeared some blood on to a seal at the centre of the gate.

The gate unlocked. She signalled the rest to join. Once all entered through the gate, they spotted a different scene than expected, since most of them had either not come there before or were too young to remember. It looked like a small town with about a few hundreds of habitants. Houses and small stalls were present on one side alongside the ruin. The other side looked like it had been cleared up to make farmlands. In the back on single gigantic structure, probably a castle earlier, but now a mansion. Since it was mid-day, not many were outside.

The six stayed in the same spot, Naruto smiling and remembering her last visit along with Konohamaru and Ume. She would see the development in the last four years. It bought a smile on her face. She looked around observing all the changes. A lot of new residents had joined in, quite a lot of houses, the mansion looked complete now and also, the farmlands occupied a lot more space. She truly was happy to see her homecoming back up from the ashes.

After a few minutes, Naruto started guiding the rest into the village. Once they neared the commercial area, a few of the older residents of Uzu recognised Naruto, bowed to her and welcomed them.

Naruto guided the group to a building near the mansion. It was a reconstructed building and had some old and some new parts to it. It was simple looking from the outside. Naruto took them inside where sat a young man in an arrangement that looked like a reception.

"Naruto-denka", he said and bowed as soon as he saw Naruto enter. "It's truly great to see you back here. The news about the result of the battle reached us a couple of days back from the new arrivals. Hope you and your children are all fine."

"We are all great Amida-san. It's good to see the development of Uzu since the last time I was here", replied Naruto. She had given up on telling everyone to not address her as '-denka' but it had been futile as they considered her and her kids as the last surviving members of the royal family. The closest they had come to settle with was calling her with her first name instead of Uzumaki-denka. "I wanted to meet Eiko-san, if she was not busy. I have come with my family and a few friends to finally settle over here. So I will need to get them registered."

"Hai, Naruto-denka. Fujii-sama is in her office. I will notify her and let you in", said Amida before hurrying in the direction of the office. A minute later, he came out and let them enter. Naruto lead the others inside the room.

The room itself was plain and normal with just a symbol of Uzumaki clan and Uzu and a desk with some paperwork to show that it was an office. The woman sitting behind the desk seemed to be in her thirties. She had reddish-brown hair and violet eyes. She was fairly tall, slightly taller than Naruto. She wore clothing with two symbols - the Uzu symbol and another clan symbol.

As soon as they had entered, she spoke, "Welcome Naruto-denka. It has been quite a while since we had heard from you. Hope you and your family are doing well."

"Ne! Eiko-sama, you are the leader of Uzu now. I'm the one who should be respecting you, not the other way around. So, if you are going to keep calling me that, I will continue to address you in a similar manner", said Naruto.

The leader chuckled loudly. "Fine, Naruto-san. Hope this is better", she replied. "Now, I'm really hoping that you have finally come to settle here. Since I am already done with this job. Plus, its time for you to take your rightful place".

This time it was Naruto who chuckled and rubbed the back of her neck. "Yeah, Eiko-san. I'm finally here with some of them at least. But I don't think I'll be taking the title so soon. You can keep it until things are settled here. I just wanted to introduce you to them and get them registered", replied the blonde Uzumaki.

Then the leader turned to the others and introduced herself. "Hello! My name is Eiko Fujii. I'm temporarily running Uzu, until Naruto-san here is ready to take her place. Welcome, to Uzu. Hope, you all like it around here." Then she again looked at Naruto. "Are those the tiny little midgets that you left with all those years ago?", she asked pointing at the kids. "Even this over-protective kid here has grownup", she laughed pointing at Konohamaru.

"They have, haven't they?", replied Naruto with a smile. "Now would you give those papers to register these kids? Also, this is Karin Uzumaki; she is an Uzumaki from Kuso. I brought her with me after the war." Naruto spoke while introducing Karin.

"Nice meeting you Fujii-sama", said Karin as she bowed down.

"Also, this is Inari Senshi from Nami no Kuni. He was the one who helped us over. He is also Tazuna-san's grandson and like a little brother to me.", said Naruto as she introduced Inari.

Embarrassed, Inari rubbed the back of his neck and the bowed and said, "A pleasure to meet you Fujii-sama. Uzu seems to be a wonderful place, just like Naruto-nee had told me".

Eiko smiled widely and replied, "Welcome. Please feel free to stay as long as you want. A friend or family of Naruto-san is always welcome to Uzu. Also, its always great to see another Uzumaki in the village, Karin-san. We could have a discussion another day about your background and what you know about the clan another day; once you have settled in."

Karin nodded and smiled in reply.

Then she came close to the three kids and spoke, "Hello! I'm your Kaa-san's old friend, Eiko Fujii. I don't know if you remember me but all three of you were really young when you last saw me".

"It's nice meeting you Fujii-san. I'm Konohamaru Sarutobi", said Konohamaru and then rubbed the back of his neck. "Your face does look familiar but…."

"That's totally understandable." Then Eiko turned to Naruto and spoke, "The mansion is cleaned. You all can directly go there. Also, if Karin-san needs any other living arrangement, let me know. I can arrange it in a few days. Also, you all are invited to Kaa-san's house. She has been eagerly waiting for your return with these kids".

Naruto nodded. "It'll be good to see Emiko-san after so long. Kono-kun still remembers her daifukus." She chuckled at the last part. Konohamaru blushed.

"Excellent, I'll ask Kaa-san to make some", replied Eiko. "Now, you all go ahead and refresh up in the mansion. I'll send over the papers to the mansion in some time. Take rest and come over to Kaa-san's house around 6".

"Hai. That would be great. We'll meet at that time." Replied Naruto. "It was good seeing you again Eiko-san. Let.'s have the discussion about Uzu another time." Eiko nodded.

Then Naruto signalled the others to follow her. "Come on. We've had a long day. Let's go home." With that, they six left the office and headed to see their new home.
