Izuku open his eyes, his vision is weird at first from his right eyes but it adjust in a few seconds. He look at the ceiling and saw only white walls and white light, he turn his head a little and saw his mother asleep in a chair next to him, was he in a hospital? Did something happened to him? He try to remember, last thing he know he was speaking with All Might at the beach, he try to move something and...he remember, the pile of scrap.
-m..m..mo (his throat hurt like he didn't speak for a long time) m..mo...mom!
Inko was sleeping in her usual chair next to her son bed when she think she hear a voice, she open her eyes to see her son' eyes looking at her
-Izuku...IZUKU! My baby you're awake!
She jump from her chair and she hug her son while flooding the hospital wing. Once the tears stopped a nurse enter the room to investigate where all that water come from when she saw the teenager awake while being hugged by his mother, she rushed to the young man to look at his vitals while pressing the emergency switch to call the doctors.
A medical team came in the room and start doing several tests on the teenager while Inko stay by his side holding his hand. Izuku didn't understand why those men where doing all those tests on his legs and his right arm and eye. After 20 ish minutes mostly all the staff exit the room except for a blonde man with glasses who's sit next to his mother.
-Hello Izuku, my name is David Shield.
-WHAT? DAVID SHIELD? THE DAVID SHIELD? ALL MIGHT OLD SIDEKICK WHO CREATE HIS FIRST HERO SUIT?
-Well i think my reputation is made.
-You are one of the greatest scientist in the world, last article i read about your work you where based on I Island, what are you doing in Japan?

-Well you're All Might first sidekick, so yeah i kinda like to read stuff about him and you and Sir Nighteye so.

At that moment Toshinori enter the room when he hear from the doctors Izuku awake a few moment ago.
-Young Izuku, i hear you are awake.

The 3 adults in the room start laughing at the boy reaction.

- 2 months, i was out for 2 months? i missed school and training for 2 months, I'll never be ready for Yuei entrance exam with that delay. I must go to train and study.

Izuku begin to hyperventilating, bionic arm and legs and eye, bionic like...a robot?
-Izuku my baby calm yourself please, let David explain everything please. (she hug her son to calm him)
-Like i was saying, the accident badly injured your body so they had to remove your right eye and both your legs. This is the reason you are currently at I Island. When the accident happened Toshinori call me and ask me if someone here have the technology to help you regain a normal life since you would be stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of your life. When he called me I immediately accept to help you cause i will never refuse something to my best friend and i volunteer you for the latest experimental project i was currently working on, and so far i can say it worked cause you are currently moving your right arm naturally like you where doing with your old one.

Actually you have a mechanical arm, legs and eye, we also inject your body with highly advanced nanobots who have repair your broken spine and reinforce your entire body, right now I'd say you are currently in greatest shape than before your accident, the only thing we cannot repair where the scars on your body where the limbs are attached and on your face?

The 3 adults look concerned before Yagi goes to the desk and grab a mirror and tend it to the teenager. Izuku hesitate to look at himself at first but ultimately he have too so he took a look. Half his hair on his right side are shaved, he have a big scar who cross his right eye and continue on his cheek but the real surprise is his eye, where he usually have a bright green eye now is a red one taking his place.
-W..why my eye is red?
-I'm sorry Izuku, we cannot for the moment change the colour of the lens in the camera in your eye for the moment, but rest assure i will work on it.
-It's okay, don't bother yourself with that, i kinda like it to be honest.
-Are you sure my baby?
-Yes mom, I'll get used to it WOW!

-I..i don't know, i was trying to look closer to the eye and suddenly the vision zoomed and i can see the mechanical part of the iris.
-It's the zoom function of the eye.

-Let me explain, i didn't just gave you a normal eye, the one you currently have in your head is equipped with several different kind of views. The zoom function you just discover allow you to zoom on something really small or seeing at really far distance, currently approximate 5 kilometres, the eye is also equipped with a x-ray vision, a infrared vision and one of my favourite, a precision targeting system who is directly synchronized with your right arm.
-B...but why all that? A normal vision would be enough.
-To be honest, i give you all of those options because you are quirkless.
-Oh i see, so now i can pretend to have a kinda super vision quirk?

The 3 adults look between themselves before Toshinori decide to reveal the real nature of the bionic parts he now possess.

-Yeah so i can inherit your (he panic and put both his hand on his mouth and have a really concerned expression on his face)
-It's okay young Midoriya, Dave and your mother know about our little secret.

-Yes young lad. Look what I'm trying to tell you is now i cannot pass my quirk to you because of your new limbs. The only part of your body you will be able to use the quirk will be your left arm and imagine of you try to use it with a robotic arm, it will explode at the first try.
-I'm sorry All Might, you waste all those months on me while you could have found a better successor. Now i have absolutely no chance to become a hero, at least i can pretend I'm not quirkless anymore in a way.
-Izuku, it's not true, i didn't waste nothing on you. It's true you cannot became the new holder of the quirk but who said anything about you not becoming a hero.
-I don't want to sound rude to mister Shield but i know actual technology cannot produce prosthetic parts to be really useful for a hero, the only one i can remember is Ectoplasm who have lost his 2 legs during a fight a few years ago and his mobility is a lot slower than before his accident but his cloning quirk allow him to still doing hero work even if for the last 3 years he is teaching at Yuei.
-Your heroes knowledge will always amaze me young man. But like i said, who said anything about you not becoming a hero? Dave i think you will explain it better than me my friend.
-What Toshi is trying to telling you Izuku is did you forget where you are right now? Here at I Island we have technology the world have no clue exist yet, off course prosthetic limbs are restricted about their abilities but i never said you have prosthetic limbs, you currently have bionic limbs.

Izuku was doubtful but he get up the bed and the feeling of being on his 2 feet is weird for a few seconds but his body adjust really fast, he tend his hand to his mentor while this one buff in his hero form. Izuku was really nervous cause he know All Might is the strongest person on earth, he will rip off his arm in less than a second.
-Don't worry young Midoriya, I'll go easy on you HAHAHA!
They shake hand and Izuku start pushing against the blonde hero, at first All Might didn't seems to really push but after a few seconds you can see he begin to have a serious face.
-You can go with more power Izuku, Toshi can take more.
-O..okay mister Shield.
And Izuku put more and more pressure on his pushing movement until All Might decided to really push back and now the teenager is losing the little match.
-It's okay you two, i think we all have a little idea of what that arm can do?
-I..it's incredible, that's not a normal arm?
-No Izuku, what you are equipped is the prototype of the project Heroes Reborn, with that we will be able to help heroes who got amputate on the battlefield. As you can see it can mimic a strong strength enhancing quirk. Izuku start crying in his mother arms. David and All Might didn't know why the young man was acting like that.

David whisper something to Toshi.

-Well, since you said he want to be a hero i may have add a weapon system in his arm, you remember when i said your eye have a targeting system synchronized with your arm, it's for giving you a perfect aim of the laser cannon, i may also add thrusters in your feet to...

The next hour David explain Izuku how to activate his abilities until the head doctor discharge him. Izuku didn't feel a difference using his bionic limbs except they are a little cold at touch but he can get used to it. When they reach David's house they are greeted by a blonde girl around Izuku's age.
-Izuku, this is my daughter Melissa. Melissa you can finally meet Izuku.
-Hello, I'm Izuku Midoriya, thank you for having me.
-I'm happy to finally meet you Izuku, Inko have told me a lot about you this week. Wow the bionic limbs really look like a normal arm, dad's work really impress me.
-Yeah, I'm glad your father help me, i don't know if i want to live my life stuck in a wheelchair with only one functioning arm and one eye, can you imagine, quirkless and handicapped?
-I can imagine it, I'm also quirkless.

Melissa grab Izuku by the wrist to show him the house while the 3 adults watch the teenagers being young and happy. The day after Toshinori have to come back to Japan since he is expected by the principal of Yuei for a important meeting.
-Young Izuku, there is still 4 months before the entrance exam, I hope you will use your time before that day here at the island to train your body and learn how to use your news abilities. I'm counting on you to be here at the exam and showing everyone what you are made of. I was thinking about that, i can offer you to take the recommendation exam except of the regular one if you wish.
-Are you sure All Might, i don't want to feel like i cheat or something like that.
-Nonsense my boy, you deserve it with all happened to you. With your new powers you are already on a pro hero level in term of strength and firepower, all you need is to learn is the finesse behind the hero work. The next 3 years will be the most exiting days of your life, and don't worry about you know what, I'm pretty sure someone at Yuei will show the same potential you have young lad. I had to go if i don't want to miss my plane, take care of yourself and and I'm pretty sure you will have a great relationship with Melissa and Dave.
