A few weeks after the Waisters moved into their new home, they all had suddenly become ill.
"How are the Waisters doing?" asked Taylor who was in a meeting with Jim and Elisabeth.
"The disease is affecting them worse than I thought, they may only have a month left," said Elisabeth.
"Malcolm is looking at the blood samples we took, hopefully he can find a way to help them," said Jim.
"And I think I have," said Malcolm as he came running in with Josh.
"Malcolm found that the virus they have is related to a dangerous plant that grew in the valley near their new village, we hadn't noticed it when we were clearing the land," said Josh.
"It can be mistaken for a tomato, but the giveaway is a small black dot on the base of it," said Malcom.
"Is there any way to help them?" asked Jim.
"We need a Red Zarafa Flower, which only grows on an island to the east of here, it's a few days away," said Malcom.
"Then I'll head out there to get some," said Jim.
"It's not going to be that easy, dad," said Josh.
"Ovosaurus live on that island for a full year every five years for mating seasons because a land bridge appears only for that one year, giving the young time to grow," said Malcom.
"If that's their nesting ground then there could also be a lot of nickel on the island," said Taylor.
"That's what I've always thought," said Malcom.
"If we are going to save the Waisters then I'm going to need Reynolds and some other men," said Jim.
"And me, this plant can be tricky to find," said Malcom.
"Just make sure you get it and come back safely," said Taylor.
