A few weeks after getting back from the island, Abedabun and her people were starting to recover.
"Glad to see that you are doing better," said Taylor as he met with Abedabun in his office.
"The medicine you gave us is working wonders, and we again can not thank you enough for what you've done," said Abedabun who was drinking some tea.
"It was nothing," said Taylor.
"Excuse me sir," said Malcolm as he walked in.
"What is it, Malcolm?" asked Taylor.
"I have finished analyzing the data from the island," said Malcolm as he gave a tablet to Taylor.
"Is this right?" asked Taylor with a stunned expression.
"Yes, other than nickel on the island there's also gold, silver, diamonds, and a whole lot more of minerals, all in big quantities and something that we could use," said Malcolm.
"You're right, Terra Nova differently can use all of these right now," said Taylor.
"What are these things you are talking about?" asked Abedabun as she stood up and walked over to look at the tablet.
"They are minerals that are worth a lot, we can even make money, machines, and weapons out of them," said Malcolm.
"Get a team ready, as soon as the Ovosaurus are gone I want you on the island to excavate the minerals," said Taylor while handing the tablet back.
"May I accompany them, I would like to see these minerals when they are discovered myself," said Abedabun.
"Take Jim with you too, he's the best officer we have in the colony and with that many minerals something bad could happen," said Taylor.
"Right," said Malcolm. Later that night at the Shannon house.
"Are you really going to be gone again this soon after getting back again?" asked Maddy as the family ate dinner.
"Only until we find the minerals we are looking for, so it'll be only a few weeks top," said Jim.
"I can't wait to see some of them," said Zoe who was excited.
