I do not own the characters. Just the plot.
Hello! Well, this is different! I decided after a couple of years to revisit this story and change so things. The first few chapters are pretty similar with minor changes, the starting with chapter 7 they are brand new with a completely different center to the plot.
Well, I will stop boring you,
Here is the brand-new Melody of the Heart Chapter 1
Play from the heart and you will find your melody, that is what Nico had been known his entire life, until the day all of that changed. He no longer played; his heart went cold, and his melody had stopped, but he still longed to feel the music.
Precious art was something he wanted to hear from others, so he decided to listen to what he could. This is where the story of love and loss begins, welcome to "Melody of the Heart."
Nico
Gods, why do I always have to attend the amateur music groups? They are never good and then I look like a dick for giving them a bad review. Today victim is some so-called prodigy named William Solace. All these so-called "talents" are popping up everywhere and none have been enjoyable, I would rather listen to my dog bark all night.
As I walk in, I notice a stagehand looking at me, seeing him physically gulp. It makes me happy that I can affect people in a way like I can check off 'strike fear into the hearts of men' off my bucket list now. I take my seat, tragically in the front row. I check my phone to make sure it is on silent, it would not be good if it went off again during a concert, I do not need all of the people glaring daggers at me on top of having to be here. I see I got a message from Jason,
"Please stay the whole time, this time!"
I glare.
Well, it is not my fault that the last few people's music made me wish I was deaf, he should know he had to listen to this crap for years, so lucky that he got promoted. I text back
"If this person sucks as bad as the last, I will not stay and let my eardrums bleed."
He texts back
"Fine!"
Even though Jason is my boss now, I refuse to make his life a walk in the park.
The theater lights start to dim, and I quickly put my phone away. The curtains are pulled apart and sitting there is a shiny black grand piano. I know the basics of piano from a long time ago, though I can admit to myself that I am not particularly good. Just as my thought is leaving me head, out walks a tall tan man with the curliest blonde hair. He is wearing an ill-fitted dark blue tux but still manages to look attractive.
I instantly try and clear my head of those thoughts,
'just wait for him to start playing! Gods Nico!'
He takes a seat gracefully; I can see his slender fingers hesitate before playing keys on each side of the piano. It is an interesting contrast, surprisingly quite pleasant to my ears. From there he plays his song, his hands move slowly at first but pick up speed, and I feel myself sinking into the wonderful sound of his music.
He plays song after song, moving my emotions in different ways with each song, I hope he never stops playing, I have not felt this way in forever! After he finishes the song he pauses, and I can swear he looks right at me. He smiles. It is like he knows exactly what I am thinking and what his songs are doing to me!
I take a deep breath at the same time as him, I can feel the anticipation swelling in my chest, what he is going to play next?
I jolt in my chair as he slams his hands down on the keys, playing so furiously that it vibrates my bones. I can feel myself finally breathe properly as he plays the finishing note of the song. The silence of the piano is all that rings through my ears.
I reach for my bag and freeze at the light notes that reach my ears. I look up at him, Will Solace, his eyes are closed as he looks so, at peace, I long for that feeling.
I gradually shift back to looking at him, I am surrounded by the soft and slow song with the lightest of sounds, I feel almost hollow this song feels the saddest of all.
I am just looking at him though I cannot see him, I feel empty and overwhelmed. Warm streaks run down my face…what the hades I am crying?! I quickly wipe my face.
Looking back at the pianist, even though he is not looking at me I can tell what he is thinking. I feel my heart beat a little faster as the silence surrounds the audience.
He is looking at his hands, then quickly stands up giving a clumsy bow to the crowd. He looks back up and smiles, a distant smile. Before I really know it, I am standing and clapping with the rest of the audience as he is exiting the stage.
I am exhausted, though I feel something in my heart, a feeling that I have not felt in a long time.
Fulfillment.
I really hope that you enjoyed it
