This is not an update.
For those of you following this fic, Thank you so much for all the patience and understanding. For any newcomers, this won't affect you as much.
I will not be abandoning this story, not at all, but I've taken a really long time to update, and since that time, my writing style has changed and evolved. I've looked back and reread this fic so many times desperately hoping to find some motivation for continuing it, but honestly, as it is, I don't know if I can.
So what I've decided to do is I'm going to write a "prequel" to this fic. I'm not satisfied with how I introduced my lore for this fic, and so I'm going to pause this fic until I've done the prequel.
The prequel will basically be a Naruto rewrite starting from when Naruto met Itachi for the first time and so the first few chapters will be just some world and lore building. I don't know how many of you will be interested in that, so I don't expect a whole lot, but just know that I do plan on updating regularly once I get started, probably once every two weeks until I start college in the spring, and then I'll update you on the schedule from there.
As a lot of my readers know, I've struggled with family issues, depression, ptsd, and a lot of other things for a long time now, but I don't want to keep letting that hold me back. So thank you for all the support and words of understanding you have all given me, and I promise I won't disappoint you!
