" I will kill you dumb hair!"
That was the first thing Deku heard before even entering his classroom in the early morning. As he did enter he saw his childhood friend Kacchan wrestling Kirishima on the floor.
" Why am I not surprised..." Deku thought as he sat down. He was just about to tell the two of them to stop as their homeroom teacher Aizawa entered the classroom. The classroom went quiet and everyone went back to sit in their seats.
" Bakugou, Kirishima get off the floor right now!" Aizawa shouted which startled the two boys, but they went back to their seats but Kacchan obviously had to give a threatening glare to Aizawa before sitting down.
" Now, let us start class with a little bit of information from Recovery Girl. If you may..." Aizawa said and gestured towards the door. Next thing they knew the school nurse walked in through the doors and went to stand in front of class 1A.
" I have been requested to inform you that today is a mandatory health check-up performed by me. The list is outside your classroom door, and please don't be late." Recovery Girl said. After that she took her leave and left class 1A with many to little questions.
" Don't worry class, she won't hurt you that's for sure. Am I right Midoryia?" Aizawa said and looked at him. Him and everyone else who knew his history with the school's infirmary.
" Right... Recovery Girl is definitely not gonna hurt you..." Deku said, but he wasn't so sure this time that was the case. This time everyone needed to go to the infirmary without a bigger reason to do so.
"It's fine, I'm not scared and none of you should be either!" Bakugou scoffed. Everyone had their speculations though and soon it was going to haunt one in their class.
After class ended it was time for some training so they were asked to pair up and help each other find new ways to strengthen their quirks. Deku was paired up with Kirishima and it was a nice change because he had been paired with Kacchan most of the other times and it always ended with him getting bruises and burn marks because Kacchan really did hate his guts when they were training together.
" Alright, Deku let's do this!" Kirishima said getting ready to fight him.
"Let's..." Deku said smugly. They continued to fight for an hour when Aizawa called it quit.
" Alright everyone, great job today. Now go eat some lunch and don't forget to check your times for the check-ups if you haven't already!"
Deku and the rest of the boys went to change and they headed for lunch.
" What's for lunch today?" Todoroki asked startling Deku. He turned around to see his friend, then he turned around again to check the menu.
" It seems to be your favorite Todoroki, it's soba!" Deku said happily and he could see a happy glimmer in Todorokis eye and a small smile in his mouth.
" Have you guys checked your times yet because if you haven't we could go after lunch together?" Deku asked and the others agreed. They sat quietly and ate their food; no one was too excited about what was coming so they didn't want to talk about it. After they ate they went as a group to check their times walking slowly to save time. Soon the list was in front of them and Deku saw with relief that he was last right after Kacchan.
" Well, that's probably not a great time to be around Kacchan..." Deku thought to himself and laughed, thinking that Kacchan was gonna give Recovery Girl a hard time. More than he already does.
" Well, it looks like my time is in 5 minutes by the looks of it so I'm gonna run, see ya!" Kirishima said and he was off. With Kirishima gone for now Deku and his friends didn't know what to do so they went outside and sat down to study.
" Ugh studying is boring, can we do something more exciting?!" Ururaka suddenly complained and by everyone's reaction, everyone wanted that too.
" I was thinking we could play tag but we can use our quirks. That is not to cause any collateral damage to the school grounds!" Ururaka continued explaining the rules.
" Okay spread out, Ill start!" Denki said as a small spark of electricity escaped his palms. Once everyone had gotten into position the chase began and the first target was Iida, though he easily outran Denki by a long shot. Deku was the next target but he couldnt outrun Denki as easily and got tagged as well as getting a small shock from his friend. They continued playing when Kirishima came back.
"I came out of it alive but guess who was after me?" Kirishima asked.
" Let me guess...Bakugou?" Mina guessed and she was correct. Deku knew he was next and he should probably start going now.
" I'm gonna go wait outside the infirmary for my turn, you guys keep playing. Hey, Kirishima take my place will ya?" Deku asked and he started walking towards the infirmary himself. He walked up the two staircases the led to the 4th floor of UA, the same floor the infirmary was on. He opened the door that led into the hallway and went to sit down in the waiting area outside the infirmary. While he was sitting there he could hear small explosions and swearing coming from the infirmary, guessing it was Kacchan being the dumbest he could be at a situation like that.
" OOOWWW YOU OLD HAG THAT HURT!" Deku heard which only could mean one thing. Seconds later Bakugou walked out of the infirmary holding onto his arm and cursing, he didn't even acknowledge Deku sitting there.
" Hey, Kacchan-" Deku was just about to ask when Recovery Girl came out of the room as well. It was his turn, so he followed inside the room. When he came in he was asked to take his shirt off and then to sit down on the bed.
" Midoriya boy, welcome back. Were you not here just two weeks ago?" Recovery Girl asked. He had in fact been in the infirmary not long ago due to an injury caused by Bakugou of course.
" Yeah, but it has healed so it's fine now." Deku assured, making sure she wasn't going to touch the wound because it was still a sore area in the healing process.
" Alright but then let's make sure the rest of you is healthy!" Recovery Girl said and went to get some instruments. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary so what was Kacchan fussing about unless it was physical contact of some sort?
" Alright, Midoriya say ahh-" Recovery Girl asked and he opened his mouth.
" Looks perfectly healthy to me. Now let's check your ears and the rest." Recovery Girl said and grabbed his ear. After some time of poking and prodding, Deku thought that it should be over by now, but no Recovery Girl had other plans.
" Listen Midoriya there's one last thing to do before you can leave." Recovery Girl said, holding up a syringe. Deku stood up and started backing away from the nurse.
" There is no way you don't already know that needles and me aren't friends, you know that right!" Deku asked frantically still backing away from the syringe hoarding towards him. He looked around the room for an escape route and it was either the window or the door, thought the door was closer...
With Recovery Girl slowly walking towards him he had no choice so he ran out of the doors to the hallway, with Recovery Girl running after him. He felt bad for making the older nurse chase him so he decided it was better to shake her off and in that case, she would call back up making some else chase him. Deku ran through the whole school and when he looked back after some time it seemed like his plan had worked, now he only needed a foolproof hiding spot.
" Hey Jirou, can I hide in your room quickly?!" Deku asked frantically, as he was let in.
" Deku why are you shirtless and in need of a hiding spot all of a sudden?" Jirou asked, very confused. She locked the door and led her friend to the edge of the room in case someone would burst through the door looking for the boy.
" All I'm saying is that I ran from the infirmary because I don't like needles and probably any second now the teachers and students are gonna be on the lookout for me...!" Deku explained trying not to show how bad the situation really was. Then just as Deku finished explaining there was a knock on the door.
" I'll open it, hide in my closet right now!" Jirou said shooing Deku towards the other side of her room. Deku crawled into the closet and Jirou quickly went to open the door.
" Hello Jirou, I'm guessing you have heard but Midoriya ran off somewhere and we need to find him as soon as possible. You don't happen to know where he might be or anyone else who knows?" Aizawa asked.
" Shit!" Deku thought as he tried crawling deeper into the closet. After a few minutes, he heard footsteps towards the closet and the doors opened.
" Deku you should probably leave, it's not safe here even though they don't suspect my room anymore." Jirou said helping Deku out of the cramped spot he had been sitting in. Deku felt it was best for him as well not to involve too many people in his escape from the infirmary but he needed to know where to go next before leaving.
" Okay, Jirou I'm gonna head for Kacchans room and that's because he owes me that," Deku stated and walked towards the door. Deku opened the door and looked out left and right in the hallway to see if anyone was around. He quietly sneaked out and headed towards the boy's floor; to Kacchans room. He quietly knocked on the door hearing the blonde curse his way to the door before opening it.
" Deku, the fuck are you doing by my room? You think you can hide in here because I'm not letting you!" Bakugou said and slammed the door in Deku's face. Frantically he knocked again and got pulled in by the blonde roughly. He was now standing with Bakugou holding a hard grip on his arm and the blonde staring at him viciously.
" Kacchan I need a place to hide and your room was the closest!" Deku explained but Bakugou was not having it. The blonde started dragging Deku by the arm out of his room, down the hallway. Not only that but he was shouting for backup so seconds later he was swarmed by teachers. Deku hysterically tried to get out of Bakugous grip but it was no use. He was too strong and the teachers were there so he couldn't escape.
" Kacchan why did you team up with the teachers like this, I thought you out of everyone would help me out!" Deku yelled but Bakugou just kept dragging him towards the infirmary. Deku was of course fighting back and then only a few meters from the infirmary doors he got loose and made a run for it. He didn't very far though and soon Bakugou had him pinned down to the floor, hands behind his back and unable to move.
"Let's try this again nerd, you move and ill blow your ass off." Bakugou whispered and pulled him up to his feet. When they entered the infirmary Kacchan was very quick to pin him down again, this time to one of the beds.
" Hey, Kacchan get off!" Deku growled but Bakugou didn't budge. He noticed how they weren't alone in the infirmary but Aizawa, Midnight and Recovery Girl were in the room as well.
" Midoriya, don't start trouble with me again or ill restrain you." Recovery Girl said. This was it then, he had betrayed their trust and now he was paying the price.
" Well, I-" Deku started but stopped when he noticed how no excuse was gonna get him out of the room untouched. So with that, he started trying to push Bakugou off himself sending Aizawa and Midnight towards himself and Bakugou. He felt both his arms get grabbed roughly and then something slipped around his wrists.
" Midoriya you're gonna be quiet now and let Recovery Girl do her job." Midnight clarified. Great now he was stuck.
" Now let me just get this ready and ill be back." Recovery Girl said and left the four of them alone. Deku on the other hand didn't wait for her to come back and started once again to struggle, this time with the restraints on his arms. He frantically tried to use One for All but soon noticed the restraints were quirk proof for obvious reasons.
" Kacchan how could you let them do this?!" Deku asked. His friend didn't answer at first but then he went over to Deku and leaned over him.
" I hate your guts, that's why. You deserved this and I'm not feeling pity for you at the slightest right now..." Bakugou said, walking back to the teachers. Deku knew his friend was right about what he just had said; he should have known better than to trust Bakugou.
" Midoriya now that you're here once more we can try this again..." Recovery Girl said, appearing from behind Aizawa with a syringe in hand. Now Deku was terrified because that same needle would go into his arm, so he started to struggle the restraints again. The only thing he succeeded with was to lift his torso up and kick his legs and that made the situation worse because seconds later Bakugou jumped on top of him, heaving all his strength to push him down while the teachers were holding his legs still.
" No, don't come close to me with that!" Deku growled but it was too late, the needle was in his arm, and the medicine was seeping into his body. He thought for a second he was gonna faint but the adrenaline he felt at the moment was keeping him conscious.
" There, that wasn't so bad was it?" Recovery Girl said as she pulled the needle out, replacing the needle with a band-aid. Deku was quiet as Bakugou got off him and rejoined the teachers by the edge of the bed. Having them all stare at him made him embarrassed so he just shook his head.
" You gonna let me go now?" Deku asked. He had to get out of the infirmary as soon as possible so, what was taking so long to let him go?
" Midoriya I still need to check that wound you got two weeks ago, ill let you go once I'm done." Recovery Girl said and gestured for the others to leave. She lifted his shirt that he luckily got back before he took off in the first place and started inspecting the wound.
" Don't go anywhere, I need Bakugou to come back here." Recovery Girl said as she walked out of the infirmary.
" Why does she need Bakugou to come back?!" Deku thought curiously. Minutes later Recovery Girl came back, followed by Bakugou who seemed to know what was going on.
" Kacchan?" Deku asked; wanting answers. His friend just went over to him and turned his back against Deku, which wasn't the first time he'd done something like that.
" What's the deal with getting Kacchan?" Deku asked, now wanting an answer from Recovery Girl.
" Midoriya you may not know this but that wound of yours, It's infected and it's bleeding so I have to clean it up." Recovery Girl said and went over to him as well. She started to pour something onto a cotton pad and was just about to apply the content to his wound when she gestured for Bakugou to do whatever he was going to do. Deku saw how his friend once again climbed on top of him and held him down, this time less violently.
" What's the meaning of this?!" Deku asked, trying to struggle which made Bakugou hold him down tighter.
" Midoriya I'm just gonna apply some antisceptic, but it might hurt so this is just precations." Recovery Girl said and then she started to apply the contents to his would. Good thing Bakugou was holding him down because it hurt like hell and the stinging sensation after didn't feel better either.
" Bakugou help him out then you both can leave." Recovery Girl said and left the two boys alone. Bakugou helped Deku free from the restraints and they both left, with Deku holding onto the wound like the pain was a bomb he was trying to cover.
" Sorry Deku but It was for your own and the teacher's safety, you know..." Bakugou said as they were entering the boy's dorm hallway.
" I know..." Deku murmured, and they kept walking in silence. Once Bakugou got to his room they split off and headed to their own rooms. Once Deku was in his room his phone called, so he answered.
" Izuku Midoriya don't ever do such a dumb thing like that ever again or I'm gonna make sure Aizawa grounds you for a month!"
It was his mom, yelling at him for his behavior which she probably heard from Aizawa.
" Sorry mom but you know how I get around needles, and this time it just got out of hand..." Deku apologized. His mom was obviously worried and he had made a lot of trouble for people at his school so he just went with getting scolded.
" Don't worry mom it won't happen again, bye!" Deku said and ended the call. He knew he probably shouldn't have hung up like that but he had to sleep, there was school tomorrow.
" Don't worry mom, It's not gonna happen again." Deku thought and fell asleep.
The next morning Deku woke up feeling refreshed and ready for a new school day. He got up and got ready, minding his own business when suddenly there was a knock on his door. He went to open and there stood Ururaka, looking pretty as ever.
" Ururaka what a surprise...?" Deku said and then he noticed why she was there.
" Let me just get my bag, then we can go!" He said and ran to get his bag. They walked to class togheter and were having a nice talk, but when Deku entered the classroom all eyes locked onto him which made him feel uneasy.
" Shit, everyone knows what happened yesterday..." He thought and slapped his palm onto his forehead. Deku went to sit down and tried to ignore everyone's whispers and googly eyes when Aizawa came into the classroom.
" Alright quit staring at Midoriya and focus. You all know what happened yesterday I assume and for that reason I want you all to know that what Midoriya did was unacceptable." Aizawa said and Deku just let the shame hit him.
" Aizawa, Is Deku going to get detention or something?" Bakugou asked, laughing at the thought.
" No Bakugou he will not get any form of punishment, but what he will get is a comfort buddy. Bakugou?" Aizawa explained and looked at him.
" Im not gonna be Dekus shitty comfort buddy, forget it. You know what I had to deal with yesterday and changing that into going soft for him is not happening!" Bakugou chuckled, glaring at Aizawa.
" Well, you won't have to hold him down next time because that's not what comfort buddy means, and I know that was what you had to do this time but you won't do that next time." Aizawa said. Bakugou stood up and turned around to face Deku violently.
" Deku, I'm your comfort buddy now. Meaning next time you need to run away from your fears you talk to me about it first so I can help you overcome it, get it nerd?" Bakugou said. Deku was stunned that his friend even accepted the offer but was just glad that he'd done so.
" Yeah will do..." Deku said, giving the blonde a small smile.
" Were all here to support you Deku!" Ururaka said, making Deku feel warm inside.
" Thanks..." Deku mumbled.
" You guys are really great friends."
