A/N: Hey there! So I know, this crossover was a little bizarre but I got the idea while I was bored out of my wits and was reading some school notes, it was very random, however, I still hope to get on with it. Updates would not be regular as always but, this fic, I was pretty sure would be a short one. The chapters would be short too. Merely a thousand words or less.
Anyway, the timeline of this fic is set on the MHA one (22nd Century, or something, right?) so the SPN universe was quite over... Man, the series is about to end. I'm still on Season 6 (quite scarce on resources of where I could watch it).
The first chap would be quite uneventful, but I plan it on progressing through the following once. I just really have to get this one out on my system. The second chap was done but I will upload it once I finish the third one, and will upload the third once the fourth is done, and so on...
Anyway, hope someone would kind of enjoy reading this one as much as I enjoy writing it.
Stay safe!
Disclaimer: I do not own MHA or Supernatural.
Those blasted monsters are real. There were so much more blasted things lurking in the shadows, besides the underground syndicates, besides the blasted villains that pro-heroes have to deal with. Deku—useless Deku—came from a long line of Hunters, Bakugo Katsuki is in utter disbelief. And, oh joy, his mother was a Hunter too.
Chapter 1: Jumpy
Growing up, Bakugo Katsuki have heard stories, folklores, and myths both from his mother and Midoriya Izuku's—Midoriya Inko. About ghosts—poltergeists—out for blood and revenge; about werewolves and skinwalkers who prey on human hearts; about vampires that sucks humans dry of their blood; about demons who eat babies and brings catastrophes. He never believed them. They're just some scary stories meant to scare children away from venturing out night, but he's Bakugo Katsuki, that wasn't enough to frighten him. He had been a child then, and yet he told himself; "No, monsters aren't real."
But, Midoriya Izuku, Deku had always believed his mother's stories making him jumpy and wary—no, scratch that—paranoid. Izuku is paranoid with whatever could possibly jump at him at night. A paranoia that Bakugo Katsuki exploited with pleasure. Once in a while he would jump on Deku's path, making him screech in fright, but he stopped when they were in sixth grade and Midoriya Inko almost killed him.
Deku had gone to a classmate's place and it was already dark, not exactly late, just already dark (around seven pm). Katsuki was waiting for him just around the hallway of their apartment. He took the opportunity that the lights in the hallways during those days were old and flickering. Just when Deku turned the corner, Katsuki jumped from his hiding spot donning a freaky mask (that he bought for Halloween) on. The spineless greenette had screamed just like Bakugou had expected, but before the blonde could even start to cackle from his shenanigan, Midoriya Inko bursted out of their apartment turning a single corner carrying a sawed off shotgun with the swiftness of an expert.
His breath hitched.
"Woah! Mrs. Midoriya!" Bakugo exclaimed holding up his hands in the air beside him. Small explosions coming from his palms, instinctively reacting to his fright. His heart was thundering loudly in his chest, he noticed the woman's finger about to pull the trigger, and he shivered at the thought of what could have happened had he not reacted fast enough.
Midoriya Inko had pulled him in a hug then, when she realized it was just him; "Dammit, Katsuki! Don't do that again!" That was the first time Bakugo had heard the sweet smiling Midoriya matron curse, her voice trembling in a mixture of fear and relief, adrenaline slowly leaving her system.
"Kacchan! That was dangerous! Don't do that again!" While Inko, was hugging the blonde at some point she had removed the mask he was wearing, hence, he was confident that Deku had seen his glaring face, while it had usually sent the greenette fumbling under those glares, that was also the first time, that Midoriya Izuku met his glare.
The event was something that he had never forgotten, it was the first time he felt fear. While he never spoke to Mitsuki about the event it was made clear that somehow the Mrs. Midoriya had told his mother, because the very next day, Mitsuki had scolded him.
"Bakugo Katsuki, we do not jump on to scare people!" He had thought Mrs. Midoriya had cut out the part where she jumped on the scene with a shotgun, so he reiterated.
"That woman almost killed me with a shotgun, old hag! And you're scolding me for scaring that squawk Izuku?"
"That's precisely why you shouldn't scare people, Katsuki! There are people who had reasons enough to be paranoid and jumpy! You wouldn't understand!" Katsuki stared then at his mother. She knew. She knew about the shotgun and he was still being scolded! How preposterous!
He didn't speak anymore, just stared—no, glared at his mother. After a moment, Mitsuki took a deep breath to calm herself and she hugged Katsuki tight. "I was so worried, when I heard about it Katsuki. Inko was fast enough to stop herself because she recognized your voice and your quirk."
Katsuki remained silent, her mother planting a soft kiss on the top of his head. Moments like this were rare, if not, almost nonexistent. Their house have always been rowdy, with the both of them screaming at each other; they were always at each other's throats, sometimes they end up brawling but Katsuki never aimed his explosions towards his mother and the hag knows it, so she exploits it everytime she could.
But that day, she spoke to him, all soft and pleading. "Remember the stories Inko and I have told you about?"
"Yeah. Those myths?" His voice was hoarse, like it always was, rough from all his screaming. "What about it?"
There was a pause, Mitsuki searched his eyes, looking for something. She didn't see it then, because Katsuki still does not believe in those stories.
She heaved a sigh, finally deciding to continue: "Look, Katsuki, believe what you must but don't ever jump on someone ever again. Especially the most jumpy ones, you wouldn't know, maybe they were paranoid enough to carry a gun."
Katsuki was still young then, a mere sixth grader, but he could see how his mother's eyes flashed with worry. What was she worried about? Bakugo Katsuki is strong, he could handle himself.
