Chapter 6: Armed and Ready

Narrator: Akira walked in one of the tents, with a few kids running behind him. Qrow handed Akira a cup with some water in it.

Qrow: Drink up. You must be tuckered out.

Akira: Not really. I'm used to being around kids.

Qrow: You have a lot of brothers and sisters?

Akira: Yeah. From where I'm from... everyone I know is considered family.

Qrow: I see. So that means that Ruby and the others...

Akira: Are considered family. We all must stick together... no matter what.

Qrow: I agree. I noticed you don't use your swords too much. How come?

Akira: My father taught me hand to hand combat. I use my swords when the situation arises.

Qrow: I understand completely. I wish Ruby were more like you.

Akira: Ruby's young. Sure... the situation now may not seem like the best place for her... But I can sense she can handle these situations. Cause she has her teammates to back her up and help her along the way.

Qrow: I know. I'm concerned for her at times. She's so easy-going, despite all the chaos around her.

Akira: I think it's best if you let Ruby make her own choices for now. Be her pillar of support that she can rely on.

Narrator: The kids that were following Akira began tugging his hands.

Qrow: Go on. The kids want to play with you some more.

Narrator: Akira walked away with the kids running after him. Qrow sighed and stared to the side.

Qrow: (In times like these... I'm more concerned about Ruby and the others. Still... Akira's right. We must stick together)

Narrator: Akira walked up to Ruby and the others who were tending to injured civilians.

Akira: So, how are things here?

Ruby: So far, everyone is hanging on. Not sure how long this can go on.

Akira: Eventually we will have to move them to another location. But that may be a bit difficult.

Yang: Where would we go?

Akira: …. I don't know. But anywhere but here. Unless you plan to stick around to fight the Grimm.

Weiss: I mean... We can only fend off against a certain amount of Grimm... But who is to say for how long? And then there are those who are injured currently... and Galeem with his soldiers... things are looking one-sided.

Narrator: Growling can be heard from nearby.

Akira: Shit! They found us! Ruby! Have your friends get the civilians get out of here! Take everyone out of here and find someplace safe for them to heal their wounds! I'll handle the Grimm!

Narrator: At that moment... an arrow made of pure energy pierced one of the children that was running around in the stomach killing it instantly. Akira stared at the kid, wide-eyed with horror and pelted out one loud scream that attracted the Grimm to him. Akira's eyes turned crimson red and charged at the Grimm with ferocity.

Ruby: Uncle Qrow! Help Akira with the Grimm! We will help the civilians and the children.

Qrow: Got it!

Narrator: Qrow ran up to Akira and slashed the Grimm that was behind him.

Qrow: You may need some extra muscle to take care of these guys.

Narrator: Akira in his enraged state nodded. In no time at all, all the Grimm were defeated. Akira carried the kid that was hit with the energy arrow, tears falling from his eyes.

Akira: Qrow... take him. I'm going to find the one responsible for this and make them pay dearly for this.

Qrow: Alright. Be careful.

Narrator: Akira ran ahead to where the arrow was fired only to find three hooded figures standing in front of him, one of which had a bow.

Akira: Are you the one who fired the arrow just now?

?: So, what if I am?

Narrator: Akira grabbed the hooded figure with the bow by the neck.

Akira: You are going to pay for killing an innocent child while there were Grimm!

Narrator: The second hooded figure tried to kick Akira behind his head but was blocked.

?: What?

Narrator: Akira blasted the two hooded figures away with a single shout.

?: Just who is this guy?

Narrator: Akira grabbed both hooded figures by their necks and slammed them into the ground.

?: Cinder, we need to go now! Salem ordered us back.

Akira: So, you are working with Salem? Who the hell do you think you are?

Cinder: What we do is none of your business, boy.

Akira: Boy?

Narrator: At that moment, Akira dashed at Cinder with blinding speed and punched her in the stomach, causing her to double over in pain and spit out blood.

Akira: I'm going to enjoy ripping you in two and let the Grimm feast on your corpse!

Narrator: At that moment. Ruby, Qrow and Yang ran up to Akira and pulled him back.

Ruby: Akira, stop!

Qrow: Don't let them get to you. They aren't worth the dirt on your shoes.

Akira: …..

Narrator: Akira walked up to the two hooded figures, while dragging Cinder along the ground.

Akira: Let your boss know that I'm coming for her... and I'm coming for blood.

Narrator: Akira threw Cinder to the two hooded figures in which they ran.

Yang: Akira... What was that just now?

Akira: You don't want to know. Trust me...

Qrow: Well we got everyone to a safe location, thanks to your diversion.

Akira: That's good news. Let's go.

Narrator: Akira and company ran up to the civilians.

Akira: Are you guys alright?

Blake: Thanks to your quick thinking and diversion, Akira.

Narrator: Akira turned to Blake and smiled.

Akira: So, we are all safe for now. But we need to lay low for the time being.

Qrow: We need to get supplies. Currently our rations are getting low. I predict in less than a few days we will run out.

Akira: Alright. How about when it gets dark... we go and search for supplies?

Qrow: Sounds like a plan.

Narrator: A few hours later Akira and Qrow were walking among the rubble in the destroyed town.

Akira: It's worse than I thought.

Qrow: Yeah. Hopefully when we take out this "Galeem", things will be back to normal.

Akira: Yeah. Hey, that building has some supplies. Let's get some and head back.

Narrator: At that moment... the dark humanoids approached Akira and Qrow.

Akira: Crap... We've been spotted. And it doesn't look like they will let us leave without a fight.

Qrow: Well... if it's a fight they want... It's a fight they'll get. Get ready, Akira!

Akira: Will do.

Narrator: Akira cracked his knuckles and dashed at the dark humanoids with Qrow close behind. In no time at all, the dark humanoids were defeated.

Akira: Is that all of them?

Qrow: I don't think it will be the end of them. We need to get out of here before more of those guys show up.

Akira: Right.

Narrator: Akira and Qrow ran back underground and met up with Ruby and the others.

Ruby: I take it everything went well.

Akira: We were attacked a while ago but it's alright now. Here are the supplies we found topside.

Narrator: Akira and Qrow handed Ruby and Yang the supplies.

Yang: This should hold us all for a few days.

Qrow: We still need a plan. Even with the supplies, it's only a matter of time before it runs out and the civilians will be in danger again.

Narrator: Akira folded his arms and sighs.

Akira: This will never end unless Galeem is defeated. I'm going to end this here and now!

Qrow: Are you crazy? It's suicide!

Akira: If I don't do something... this entire world isn't going to stand a chance!

Narrator: Akira dashed outside. Galeem was floating high above him.

Akira: Alright Galeem... This ends today!

Narrator: Galeem fired several beams of light at Akira, in which he dodged flawlessly.

Akira: I won't let you harm another world... DO YOU HEAR ME?

Narrator: Akira unsheathed his sword and dashed at Galeem, dodging all the beams of light with ease.

Akira: THIS... ENDS... NOW!

Narrator: Akira slashed Galeem several times. But it proved to be no effect.

Akira: Damn it!

Narrator: At that moment, Akira's body begins to glow.

Akira: (Damn! Not here! I can't leave Ruby and the others to fight Galeem alone!)

Narrator: Ruby, Yang, Blake, Weiss and Qrow ran outside and readied their weapons.

Ruby: Akira! We're here to help you!

Akira: GUYS! NO... STAY BACK!

Narrator: At that moment, Galeem fired beams of light at Ruby and the others, in which they were instantly vaporized. Akira stared wide eyed in horror.

Akira: NO! DAMN IT!

Narrator: Galeem backed up and fired more beams of light. Akira dodged the beams, rage boiling inside him.

Akira: …..

Narrator: Akira vanished instantly... leaving Galeem to destroy the rest of Remnant.
