Coal and Daisy looked out at screaming citizens, they couldn't believe they all came for...them….as they arrive at the changing room they are met by 22 others. The District 5 girl sees Coal and looks at him, smiling at him.
"You are very brave, volunteering at a young age." Glow says
"Thanks….it was very….hard for me to. I just thought about my mother more though." Coal says smiling back at Glow, he felt thankful to have such a nice tribute talk to him.
Most of the tributes didn't care to even talk to anyone right now. The District 1 tributes just stared at Daisy and Coal, trying to scare them. Coal and Daisy paid no attention to them, which they scoffed at. Coal and Daisy walks to the District 12 changing room.
As they walked in they were greeted by their stylist, Cameron, who looked at them, examining them, as hundreds of ideas started to form in his head.
"Ok, you two, I have a great idea, choose your own outfit." Cameron says smiling
Coal examines the closet full of clothes, trying them on. Most of them he didn't like, until he found the snake king outfit, the outfit came with a snake staff, and robot snakes that would hiss while wearing it, amazed by the outfit Coal decides to wear it for the parade. On the other hand Daisy wore the snake queen outfit, to match Coal's outfit.
"After your majesty." Daisy giggled.
"No, after you your highness." He smiles back at her, giving a small chuckle.
The two eventually got into their chariots, a little nervous, they both looked at each other.
"Let's make them remember us." Daisy says, getting the idea in her mind.
Coal nods in agreement, giving a slight smile. God, he was nervous, he has always been. The chariots start to move out into the parade runway. Screaming fans await the 24 tributes, as Caesar Flickerman and Blight Tromana talk about the tributes.
"Here comes the career tributes! District 1, District 2, District 3, and District 4! Don't they look absolutely amazing?! Their stylist did amazing!" Blight said with excitement.
"I have to agree with you there Blight! Here comes District 5, District 6, District 7, District 8, and District 9!" Caesar says
The career tributes were mostly entertaining the audience, while Districts 5-9 simply just waved and smiled. Coal and Daisy knew what to do as they waited for them to be announced.
"Here comes the outliers! District 10, District 11, and District 12!"
Coal would grab Daisy's hand raising it up in the air, as his snakes started to hiss and eyes glowed red. They have been planning to do something since the train ride.
"THE SNAKES HAVE ARRIVED!" They both shouted with happiness.
"OH MY GOD! Look at District 12! They raise their hands and shout as if they should not be overlooked! I LOVED THAT!" Caesar says smiling.
"As Do I Caesar!" Blight responded cheerfully.
President Snow watched as the tributes rode over to him, he seemed to enjoy the tributes district spirit, in fact he loved District 1, District 2, and District 12 performance, which was very odd for him, as he never really liked the outlier districts. The tributes would eventually come to where Snow was watching, as he stood up to give his speech.
"Tributes, we welcome you to the Captiol. We thank you for your sacrifice and of course may the odds be ever in your favor." Snow says simply, his "speech" wasn't really long this year, which shocked the audience a lot.
The chariots would then start to move back to the changing rooms. As they arrived back they are met back up with Beauty and Nathaniel.
"You two did amazing! I can't believe I doubted you guys-" Nathaniel says, feeling bad for doubting them earlier, looks like he should not judge a book by its cover.
"Yes you two did amaz-" before Beauty can finish he sees Apollo from District 1 stare at Coal and Daisy, with a sickening look on his face.
"Let's….go see where you guys will be living." Beauty says changing the subject, rushing them out quickly.
The District 12 penthouse was REALLY big to Coal and Daisy, it was like 20 homes in District 12 combined.
"Woah-" They both said with an amazed look.
"Soak it in you two! Enjoy it while it last." Nathaniel says smiling.
Daisy ran into the kitchen hungry, while Coal would check out his room.
Coal sat on his bed, a bit nervous about the careers this year, he saw the look Apollo gave him, and knew that more of the careers probably felt the same. He sighed, flopping down on his bed as he heard Daisy scream with excitement.
"OH MY FUCKING GOD! THEY HAVE MORE OF THESE?!" Daisy says
Coal chuckles, suddenly his face turns more serious, he needs to protect Daisy while he can in the Games, no matter what happens…
