Roses are red – a Hinny fanfic – after the 19 years
Ch 1 – "morning sleepyhead"
Ginny's POV
I hopped out of the shower and brushed my long orange hair pulling on jeans and a t-shirt just before Harry came in.
"Morning sleepyhead,"
I checked the clock: 10:37. Shoot!
Only 23 minutes – no make that 22 before the Hogwarts Express left the platform!
And we had agreed with Ron and Hermione that we would be there early!
"I'll go get Lilly ready can you do the boys?" I asked in a frantic tone.
"I've already got them all ready, we've been waiting for you," he replied calmly.
"Oh thank god!" I said in relief, using the common Muggle phrase,
"Well grab your stuff, I'll tell the kids ten minutes" he said giving me a quick peck on the lips.
"I'll take Lilly, Harry, you take Albus, and James, you know what to do,"
I said, grabbing a pinch of Floo Powder between my fingers and using my other hand to grab Lilly's
"we'll go first, James, you follow, then Harry and Albus,"
I say and throw the powder into the flames, hey turn bright green and Lilly almost yanks my arm out of its socket pulling me in behind her.
"Kings Cross Station," we both say in perfect unison and we arrive at an 'old, abandoned, shack' near the station that witches and wizards have been using for centuries to get their kids to platform 9 3/4.
It's Lilly's first year at Hogwarts, Albus' second and James' third, and we finally have a bit of time to ourselves.
"So we finally get a bit of time to ourselves, hey, what d' you wanna do?" Harry asked voicing my thoughts,
"oh I dunno Maybe a bit of a holiday?"
"Where to babe?"
"Not sure," "surprise me,"
"Ok,"
Harry, Ginny," I heard Hermione call out over the noise of Kings Cross, we were just about to go through the barrier, and the boys already had. We stopped and waited.
"You two wanna catch up for lunch?"
"Honestly Ronald, is all you ever think about about food? lunch is still two hours away,"
"Bloody hell 'Mione, a mans gotta eat," was his response.
I yawned but quietly, so only Harry could hear, hoping he'd take a hint
"Nah, I think Ginny and I'll just go home, we're pretty tired," he said, then we ran through the barrier, to find all five children waiting together and catching up on what they did during the five days that they hadn't seen each other.
Ch 2 -Roses are Red
Ginny's POV
Harry and I grasped hands and stepped into the flames "12 Grimmauld Place" we shouted, loudly and clearly.
When we stepped out of the fireplace, Harry picked me up and carried me bridal style up to our room, where he dumped me 'gracefully ' (note the sarcasm) on the bed and chucked me some pyjama pants, so I wouldn't have to sleep in jeans, and went into the bathroom to change himself.
When Harry got in bed, we started kissing passionately and he asked for entrance with his rounded and let's just say

It escalated quickly"
After that, we fell asleep in each others arms.
Ch 3 – "ummmm, Harry"
Ginny's POV
3 months later
I woke up and rushed to the bathroom, soon to be followed by Harry who held my hair back out of my face while I spewed into the toilet, I was gaining weight quickly and getting morning sickness, I knew what those signs meant.
"I'll be back," I told Harry and apparate to the nearest muggle chemist. I grabbed a couple of different pregnancy tests off the shelves and went to the counter to pay, with the tests in hand I apparatus back home and took the tests, the all read positive
"Ummm Harry,"
Harry's POV
"Ummm Harry," I heard Ginny call out "come here,"
I ran up the stairs at full speed, wondering why Ginny wanted me
"I'm pregnant," well that explained it
"Let's go," say and we walk down to the fireplace
"St. Mungos" we say together. We walk up to the front desk
"We're here to see Padma" said Ginny,
"Well, go right on in," said the front desk lady "room 207"
We walked to her room and knocked, she answered the door
"Harry, Ginny, come on in," she said, motioning for us to sit
"So, what brings you here,"
"Well Padma, we just found out that I'm pregnant, (again) and were wondering if you could do a scan," said Ginny
"Sure, hop on the bed and I'll perform the spell, said Padma.
She waved her wand over Ginny's belly,
"Well, it's a bit blurry, but it looks like you're having twins Ginny," she explained
"So you're going to get larger than before, but don't worry, also, you're already about 3 months along, so only 6 more to go!"
'Fudge, three months along, what did we do three months ago?' I asked Ginny through the bond
'After the kids left for Hogwarts,' she explained 'remember?'
Later that day the kids sent us an owl saying that they wanted to stay at Hogwarts for the Christmas break
Ch 4 – "Harry James Potter, get your bloody a*ce down here right now!"
4 ½ months later
Ginny's POV
I was in the middle of making a cup of tea when I felt something wet seeping through my pants so I looked down
Oh, crap, my water's breaking
"Harry James Potter, get your bloody a*ce down here right now!" I yelled up the stairs, he took one look at my situation, grabbed my hand and apparated us to st. Mungos the front desk lady looked at me, said
"Padma Patil, room 207," in a bored tone, and moved on to the next patient. Harry picked me up and full on pelted to Padmas room, we were outside room 200 when I felt the first contraction "Harry, hurry," I whispered.
When we got there Harry burst in and gently laid me on the bed, Padma took one look at the situation and said, in a kind tone "Ginny, you know what to do, if you need help, just ask," and with that she left the room, when the next contraction came, I pushed.
10 mins later
Within 10 minutes we had a beautiful baby, but I needed to push again so within a couple of minutes we had a second baby, but I needed to push again so without questioning it, I did, again, another beautiful baby, I thought Padma only said twins, but more contractions came and, starting to wonder, I pushed again resulting in another baby.
Finally, no more contractions
Wait, no, there was another one, another baby, honestly, when will the pain end
And another contraction, another baby.
Finally, no more contractions
Annnd, nope, another one, and you guessed it, another baby.
I waited a couple of minutes
"I'm done" I told Harry
Nope, it seemed the universe was against me today, another contraction, another baby
I waited ten minutes, till I was finally sure I was done
"No more," I managed to whisper, and picked up two baby's to breastfeed, Harry proper 4 up against my leg, and picked up two himself
"Padma," I heard him call,
When Padma came in, I heard her gasp in surprise as she saw our 8 babies
"Expecto Patronum," mumbled Harry and a lion appeared out the end of his wand, not his usual stag I gasped, but he didn't seem to care that it was different he mumbled something like "St. Mungos," "Ginny," "babies," and "8,"and sent it of with a flick of his wand, I said "expecto patronum," just to see if it was still a horse but instead of said horse, it was a lioness which quickly followed Harry's lion
Hermione's POV
I was making dinner, when a lion patronus, with a lioness dancing around it, ran through the open front door and in Harry's voice said something like "St. Mungos, Ginny, babies, 8," and they ran of
"Ronald Weasley, stop gorging yourself on last nights leftovers and come here now, your sister just gave birth!" I yelled at Ron who ran through the door and grabbed my hand and I apperated us to St. Mungos "were here to see Ginny Weasley," I said to the front desk lady
"Padma Patil, room 207" she said in a bored voice. We walked to the room, only to find Ginny breastfeeding 2 babies, Harry holding 2, 3 sitting propped up against Ginny's leg and Padma giving one a checkup
"You make a good concealment potion 'Mione," Ginny joked
"8 babies at once?" Ron asked "and 8 Metamorphmagi at that," he added as the hair on all the babies was flashing between orange and black "bloody hell,"
