A/N: Now is our resident psychic, Archie. This one is quite short, simply because I not only wrote it pretty late at night and was exhausted, but also because we don't get much of Alice/Archie's story, so I didn't think it was big deal.

Also, I made Archie Japanese. It doesn't make as much of a big deal as you think it would.

EXT. FOREST, 1919 – NIGHT

Archie's back is up against a tree, his hair messy and tangled, his eyes black. Text on screen reads:

Marius Archibald Branden

Biloxi, MS

1919

Archie looks around nervously, then starts running farther into the forest.

INT. FRONT ROOM, BRANDEN HOUSE

The doorbell RINGS. MARY BRANDEN, a middle-aged Japanese woman and Archie's aunt, opens the door. Archie stands on the other side, skittish.

MARY
Archie! What's wrong?

ARCHIE
Something happened. And it's my fault.

MARY
Come in.

Archie steps inside.

MARY (CONT'D)
What's your fault?

INT. DINING ROOM

Archie sits in the small room at the wood table. Mary enters with two cups of coffee and puts one down in front of Archie, then sits down.

ARCHIE
Thanks, Aunt Mary.

MARY
Of course. Now, what's your fault, Archie?

ARCHIE
Do you remember what happened to my mother?

MARY
I remember. She died two years ago.

ARCHIE
Yes. But when she was alive...I saw that she would be murdered. And I saw that my father payed someone to do it.

MARY
(questioning sanity)
Did you talk with him about it?

ARCHIE
He said that I was imagining things.

MARY
Well, you probably were, Archie.

ARCHIE
I wasn't. Why would I lie about that? I was just trying to keep myself and Clyde safe.

MARY
What about your father and stepmother?

ARCHIE
My mother was killed just so they could get married. I'm not trying to keep them safe, they're the ones that are trying to hurt my brother and me.

MARY
Well, you must be tired. How did you get here?

ARCHIE
I ran.

MARY
You live five miles from here.

ARCHIE
I know.

MARY
All right, well, why don't you go upstairs and get some sleep.

Archie nods and stands.

EXT. BRANDEN HOUSE - DAY [ESTABLISHING]

The house sits silent. A large truck sits in front, double doors on the back of it. A police cruiser sits behind that.

INT. FRONT ROOM

The front door has a staircase opposite of it. Mary stands by the door, silently ashamed. A POLICE OFFICER stands next to her.

MARY
(up the stairs)
Archie? Can you come down here for a minute?

Archie walks down the stairs, slowing when he sees the Officer.

ARCHIE
Is something wrong?

OFFICER
Marius Archibald Branden?

ARCHIE
Yes, sir.

OFFICER
You're going to have to come with me, Mr. Branden.

ARCHIE
Where are you taking me?

MARY
Asylum, Archie. Asylum.

EXT. ASYLUM, 1920 – DAY

A large white building sits with a garden in the back. Archie sits on a bench in the middle of the garden. His hair is shaved now. Other PATIENTS meander about. A NURSE, a young vampire woman with dark red eyes, stands nearby in uniform. Her eyes are a deep red. Text on screen reads:

1920

The Nurse walks over and sits down next to Archie.

NURSE
How are you doing?

ARCHIE
It just hurts a little bit. Not too bad. But they treat everyone else so much better than me. I don't get it. It's not fair. They think I'm crazier because I'm not white.

NURSE
It's going to get better.

ARCHIE
No, it's not. I'm going to be killed.

NURSE
What do you mean by killed?

ARCHIE
Someone's coming for me. I don't know who. I've never seen them before.

NURSE
Describe them to me.

ARCHIE
She's young. Well, she looks young, but she's old. She has blonde hair, and her eyes are red. She's pale.

NURSE
What do you mean that she looks young, but she's old?

ARCHIE
She was born hundreds of years ago, but only looks as if she was born a few years before I was in 1901.

The Nurse nods. Behind a tree, JOSS stands, watching them. Joss is a vampire with red eyes and long blonde hair; she's a young woman.

INT. ASYLUM ROOM

Archie lays in bed, asleep. The Nurse enters and picks him up, frantic. She takes him out of the room.

EXT. FOREST, TWO DAYS LATER - NIGHT

The trees are shadowed with darkness. Archie lays on the ground; he opens his eyes, which are red. He gasps and sits up.

ARCHIE
Hello? Anyone?

Archie looks down at his hands. He runs a hand across his scalp. Archie zones out.

INT. DINER, PHILADELPHIA, 1948

Jessamine sits at a stool in the diner, brushing rain off her coat. She looks up at Archie. Text on screen reads:

Philadelphia, PA

1948

JESSAMINE
Wow. So you don't remember anything before waking up. Nothing about your human life?

ARCHIE
Nothing. All I remember is the past twenty-eight years.

Beat.

JESSAMINE
You're really sure that these people exist, Archie? It sounds impossible to just survive on animal blood.

ARCHIE
Of course they do! I've been trying to do it for years. It's hard, but possible.

JESSAMINE
Well, we should find them.

ARCHIE
We should.

A/N: As always, like, share, all that jazz. Seriously, though, thanks so much for reading. I've been working on these scripts since about January, so genuinely, thank you.
