Kamui will certainly not remain a runt over his stay in the Seireitei. However since he came to this world, only three months have passed which would not have been enough for a normal child to age not to mention a soul reaper.

Also the quick updates probably won't continue for long. I currently have a lot of free time on my hands, due to there being a case of Covid-19 in my office. Even if no one else was infected, company decided to play it safe and send everyone on vacation.

Thank you for reading and enjoy.

After picking a few things in his room Kamui first went to the dining hall. After convincing the staff to let him eat an additional meal at this unusual hour, and later requested an extra big lunch to take with him, he heads towards the rarely attended part of the park.

When he got there, he picked the biggest tree he could find and jumped amongst its branches. Making himself comfortable with the blanket he brought, he created a simple Kido barrier around his person in order to hide his presence there.

He could do this in his room, but then if Gin returned and asked how he trained without leaving the room the whole day, he wouldn't know how to answer.

He also couldn't head towards one of the usual training spots, because if someone spotted him, they would also have a lot of questions.

That led to the current situation. Kamui nested comfortably on the tree.

There are two ways to enter the world of Innovate Clear.

The first is to enter fully with his body. However, as soul society constantly tracked the reiatsu of almost anyone within the Seireitei, if his body disappeared from this plane of existence for a long time, they would surely notice. Therefore this option is out. There are ways around this tracking but for now, they are out of his reach.

That leaves the second option. Entering the space solely with his conscience. It would diminish the effects of the training somewhat, but it's the best solution at the moment. However, his unconscious body would then be left out in the open. That's why Kamui sat here, high on the tree, in the rarely visited part of the campus, behind a specialized barrier.

Ensuring that his position isn't easily discernible, he hugged his ever so gaudy Zanpakuto to his body, closed his eyes, and started to regulate his breathing.

After a while, when his thoughts were orderly and his mind without a ripple, he pushed his entire consciousness towards the shining green spot hidden deep within his soul. It was signified by his body going slack in the outside world, only his sword keeping it upright.

Although he checked on the Innovate Clear progress every now and then, it was his first time putting it to use. It was due to the unexplainable sudden growth spurt the space suddenly experienced. It was around the time Kamui went for his first calligraphy lesson. For around a week afterward, the Green Tree of Innovation and surrounding It garden, developed at triple the expected speed.

While it was a very welcome surprise, Kamui couldn't find a reason for it, and while this accelerated the growth of this world it made the space slightly unstable. Therefore Kamui preferred not to risk it and refrained from using it for a while.

The tree from, a small sprout grew into a respectable sapling, slightly taller than Kamui himself. It gave off a refreshing feeling, it's golden-green leaves, shaking in the nonexistent wind. It was also the only source of a gentle light in this otherwise, dark place, not that Kamui, owner of this world and bearer of Tenseigan needed it.

The garden itself, if you can call it that, considering it's still an empty expanse of land stretched at a radius of about ten meters. Behind that was a wall of dark purple mist giving off a tangible feeling.

Deciding to test the limits of this space, Kamui started experimenting.

Visualizing all the empty ground to be covered with soil, he willed it to existence.

While he expected it to work, seeing it actually in action was something else. Some may say that making some dirt is not anything impressive, but Kamui knew the opposite.

He didn't make the soil. He ordered it to exist. And the reality itself bent itself to his will, following his orders.

This feeling of power, of outright omnipotence, was seriously addicting. No wonder so many maniacs in this world developed God complex.

And it all started while playing with the mud, thought Kamui ironically.

Not liking the look of the empty ground, he willed it to be covered with lush, healthy-looking grass.

Only while he started dotting the landscape with small tasteful looking flowers for variety purposes, he noticed.

With every new creation, the light emanating from the tree in the middle dimmed ever so slightly; and he felt a peculiar encroaching feeling of mental exhaustion.

Those were small changes, but the accumulation of them started to be noticeable.

Knowing how much of an effort will be required for what he planned, he stopped messing around in order not to exhaust himself and the spiritual energy the Tree gathered up till now.

He sat down on the ground, focusing on what he needed for his training. Knowing that he needed to be stringent with his creation process, he started to cut corners, and a lot of otherwise normal details we're omitted.

During work, he noticed that spiritual energy is not the most optimal thing to use in creating the matter. A lot of the energy was wasted in the process, leading it to require a lot bigger amounts of Reishi than anticipated.

But eventually, he succeeded. When he opened his eyes, ignoring the feeling of settling exhaustion, he studied his final product.

It was a humanoid silhouette without any individual characteristics and gender-specific features. It was reminiscent of a nondescript mannequin. But all this was irrelevant.

It was but a shell.

On the inside was an as perfect imitation of a living soul as possible. It was without a mind of its own, so it couldn't be counted as a living being but the soul behaved in 95 % like the real deal.

Considering that the template for this soul was one he was intimately familiar with, Kamui was pretty sure of that. After all, he modeled it after his own soul.

He stood up and walked around the dummy soul observing it intently from all sides.

Even if he wanted to recreate the Gentle Fist style, it wouldn't be easy.

First of all, let's begin by pointing out that it originates from a fictional universe and it was not real. Overcoming this problem by admitting that he also is currently in a fictional universe of its own, he continued onward. Plus in the end, it was just the supernatural version of a real-life martial art.

Second of all, while he had a general idea of how this style was supposed to work, he was not familiar with the ins and outs of it. Figuring that out by the method of trial and error will take a lot of work.

Lastly and most of all, Gentle Fist was created for an entirely different power system. While Reishi and Chakra; as well as Spiritual and Physical bodies were similar, they were not the same. All the subtle differences will affect how the Gentle Fist will work, or if it will even work at all.

Sighing with exasperation, and cursing his stubbornness he continued. Developing this style was a sort of a tribute to fictional work from which his dojutsu originated; it was a viable way to grow stronger and be more unpredictable in a fight; beating the Hakuda challenge with his semi-original fighting style would be a great source of pride to him, and sticking it to Gin. Besides he had his prodigy status to uphold.

All those reasons were equally important in his overpowered eyes.

Gentle fist worked by striking opponents' chakra system with precise and concentrated charges of chakra, injuring inner organs in the process, due to the close proximity of those organs and chakra circulatory system.

Byakugan users could take this even further by targeting one of 361 tenketsu points that regulate chakra flow in the system. In this way, they control or outright shut down the opponent's energy.

Tenseigan obviously as the evolution of Byakugan can do the same. Actually, it can do even more, as everything within the opponent's body can be made visible. Even a complete overview of a nervous system is available, allowing to strike against it as well.

However, tenketsu points don't exist in a spiritual body.

Instead, there are two points of interest. Hakusui, the container where spiritual power is stored while dormant.

Saketsu which acts as a faucet for this spirit energy. It can both release and amplify the spiritual power; as well as absorb and refine reishi.

Spiritual energy flows from Hakusui through Saketsu into the release points on the wrists and the rest of the body in the form of energy tendrils, which sometimes intersect and create knots within the body.

It is certainly possible to strike directly at the Hakutsui and Saketsu, but not only it requires great superiority over your opponent, but it's also almost always permanent destruction of the opponent's spiritual ability, often killing him in the process. The only person Kamui could think of who could recover from such damage was Ichigo but he didn't count.

There are also other Hakuda styles affecting those spiritual knots, but their usefulness is limited, and almost always opportunistic. And they were not taught at the level Kamui is at, meaning he couldn't use them as inspiration.

If someone could precisely strike the spiritual knots, with good timing and appropriate force it would be possible to completely control the opponent's power flow and bodily functions which is a scary concept.

The problem with that, however, was that the spiritual tendrils within the body were always in motion, meaning that the placement, size, and number of the knots were constantly shifting. And the number and thickness of the tendrils were different for each individual.

It presented a lot of variables to consider. Result of striking against a knot varied depending on their proximity to other knots or internal organs; how many knots are in the body; and how much power currently flows through connected tendrils.

These were all the things that Kamui noticed until now. Deciding to test further he placed his hand on the faux body and tried to send his spiritual energy within.

It was surprisingly difficult.

The spiritual energy automatically repelled foreign invasion and Kamui assumed that if consciousness was in charge of the body it would be even fiercer.

Pushing even more energy within Kamui observed how it struck against the targeted knot.

It was the spiritual knot closest to the skin yet the short travel caused most of Kamui's Reiatsu to dissipate. The resulting strike barely affected the spiritual knot.

Deciding to try a different approach, he started condensing his energy into a more streamlined needle-like shape, before sending it again against the knot.

This time then results were better. Not only dissipation was slower this time around, but the needle was also capable of provoking a reaction. It's just not the reaction he wanted.

This time the energy Kamui sent in, directly overwhelmed the energy contained within the spiritual tendrils, causing a flood of Reiryoku coming in from the Saketsu, resulting not only in repelling the invasion but actually strengthening the body.

Sighing, Kamui continued the tests for three hours, before deciding to try out one last thing.

He put his hand once again on the faux body, this time not sending energy within, but rather focusing on his Tenseigan trying to manipulate the spirit within directly, without the use of Innovate Clear.

Feeling some stirring under his hand he nodded contentedly, before he froze and hastily tried to take his hand away. He didn't make it.

On the point of contact, a small explosion occurred directed mostly towards Kamui himself.

Looking towards the burned mark on his hand, and then towards the noticeably smaller mark on the faux body, he smiled bitterly.

"It's a work in progress."

After which he left the Space of the garden returning his consciousness to his real body, leaving the mannequin-like figure standing frozen in its place.

Outside when Kamui regained consciousness, he groaned, feeling the rush of condensed exhaustion hitting him. It seems that in the event of entering Innovate Clear only with his mind, all the sensations experienced within will rush towards the body at the same time, at the moment of regaining consciousness.

After spending a while, to regain his bearings, Kamui unclenched his Zanpakuto after which he looked at the watch he left on the side.

One hour has passed.

This was exactly the future that Kamui depended on to make explosive improvements in a brief amount of time. Ability to control the flow of time between the space of Innovate Clear, and the real world. He's still inexperienced with this ability so he cannot take full advantage of that, but three hours of training in the span of an hour will still make a huge difference.

Tiredly he opened his packed lunch and started eating. After a quick meal, he reached towards his bag and pulled out a notebook and a pen.

While resting he started noting down all his observations and conjectures.

One hour later, after sufficient rest, and checking if the barrier still holds, Kamui closed his eyes and sent his consciousness back to the space of Innovate Clear.

He still had a lot of training left to accomplish.

Six days later in the Innovate Clear.

Kamui ducked under a leg swipe of his opponent, before pivoting on his back foot gaining some distance. The moment his opponent put his leg forward intending to pursue, Kamui rushed back in aggressively disrupting his momentum and seizing the initiative.

The opponent currently trying to fend off Kamui's assault was a fairly tall, generic Japanese looking boy in the uniform of Shin'o Academy with a pair of round glasses.

Despite looking like that it was actually the faux body from earlier. After developing some rudimentary understanding of his version of Gentle Fist, which by the way still waited for a proper christening, Kamui decided that it would be better to practice some actual combat before his challenge.

That's why the mannequin-like body gained the features of a random student that Kamui passed in the school.

Kamui even inserted some resemblance of animal-like fighting instincts into it, and the fighting skills derived from his own.

Now, until now all the spars that Kamui participated in ended fairly quickly and were safe and in a controlled environment.

That's why only now, after constantly fighting for hours, did Kamui notice some peculiarities. Despite the huge advantage his opponent, now nicknamed Shinpachi, held in terms of instinctual fighting, Kamui's reaction was always slightly faster. Not a lot, but the difference was there. Moreover, no matter how tired he felt, he could still fight. His lungs were pulsing, his every single muscle was screaming with pain. Yet when he was forced to take action his performance didn't lower. Instead, he was all the time battle-ready.

Ending the fight with two quick jabs at Shinpachi's jaws he breathed out after which he left the space, not waiting for Shinpachi who suddenly lost all the grace he was fighting with earlier and became sluggish to stand up.

He planned to take a long rest. After all, tomorrow is a very important day.

Sorry, for the long and over-complicated explanations. It's just, delving into and messing with power systems was always my favorite thing about works like Bleach, Naruto, and so on.

Also, I wanted to show the amount of work Kamui puts into his training.
