Jeremy is typing code down on his computer screen, Kieran is tossing and turning in his bed groaning.
"Ugh, dammit, I'm so close!" Jeremy cries out quietly.
Kieran gets up from the bed and walks up to Jeremy.
"Do you mind?!" Kieran yells.
Jeremy jumps and turns around and sees Kieran.
"Sorry, did I wake you?" Jeremy asks.
"Wake me? No, you've been KEEPING me up all night!" Kieran answers sarcastically. "What the hell are you even working on that's keeping me from getting any sleep for the last two weeks?!"
"I'm trying to reprogram our ship called the Skidbladnir" Jeremy answers.
"Skidbla-what?" Kieran asks confused.
"Skidbladnir, or Skid for short, a ship we created to travel across the digital sea," Jeremy says.
"You mean the sea that would Virtualize humans into Lyoko forever?" Kieran asks.
"That's the one, we've used the ship to travel through and go through spheres that are copies of Lyoko, we call them Replikas," Jeremy says.
"Fascinating, but can we talk about this when I am NOT being sleep deprived" Kieran cries as he goes back to sleep putting a pillow over his head.
"Sorry but I kinda have a lot of work that needs to be done, I might be at this all night if I have to," Jeremy says.
"Ughh" Kieran complains.
"But I can at least try to lower the brightness so you can focus on sleeping," Jeremy says as he lowers the brightness on his computer.
"Cheers, Belpois" Kieran says sarcastically Kieran gives him the V sign.
Kieran goes back to sleep, Jeremy rolls his eyes and continues working.
At around 7:30 am Kieran is at the cafeteria with bags under his eyes trying to stay awake and eat his breakfast.
"Whoa you look like you've seen better days" Sissi says looking concerned
"I've had better sleeping nights than I do waking days" Kieran says. "If you ever finish school and consider moving out with a roommate do not let it be with Jeremy Belpois"
"Uhhh, Noted" Sissi says
Sissi goes over to the Lyoko warriors and goes past them.
"Good morning guys" Sissi says.
"Morning Sissi" Odd says
"Morning" Aelita says.
"Sup" William says.
Odd looks over and sees Kieran one table away from them.
"Yeesh, what happened to him?" Odd asks
"Oh him, I may have worked on programming all night again," Jeremy says.
"I'm guessing while doing that you keep forgot he's your roommate?" Yumi asks.
"Yes," Jeremy says dejectedly.
"Yup sounds about right" Ulrich says while nodding.
"Well enough about that, I got some big news, I've managed to finally repair the skid"
"That's great Jeremy! But what for?" Aelita asks.
"I've been thinking, maybe there is something in the digital network that ties to the Masked person we've been dealing with" Jeremy says.
"So what, you think there is some sort of Replika unaccounted for?" Ulrich asks
"Impossible, thanks to the multi-agent program we got rid of all the Replika's in the digital sea" Jeremy replies
"But there could at least be a chance of something under there" Odd points out.
"He's right, what if there is something worth investigating, so far right now we got no leads to go on, and I doubt you'd all rather wait for an attack to happen to discover something" William says.
"That's...actually a good point, but how do we know what to look for" Yumi asks.
"I'll worry about that, luckily we got no class today so after breakfast, I'll do a worldwide scan of the network and see if something pops up if it does, we'll start the exploration" Jeremy says.
"I'll go with you" Aelita says.
"Ok, let's get going" Jeremy says.
Jeremy and Aelita get up from their seats and leave the cafeteria.
Kieran is seen falling asleep on the cafeteria table, Odd goes over and shakes him awake.
"Wakey, wakey!" Odd yells out.
Kieran gets up and punches Odd in the face, he looks over and sees Odd on the ground.
"Ouch" Ulrich says.
"He shouldn't have done that" William says.
"Odd?!" Kieran cries out.
"Oww...Watch the grill George Foreman" Odd says as he holds his face.
"Hey! What's going on here?!" Jim says as he sees Odd on the floor with Kieran standing on top of him.
"Alright new kid, come with me, the principal is gonna love this one" Jim says pulling Kieran by the shirt.
"Hey!" Kieran says as he's being dragged.
"Actually Mr. Morales," Annika says walking up to him.
"Della Robbia over here has come over and rudely shook him away during his name, and Kieran acting out of reflex which resulted in the attack to Della Robbia's face" Annika explains. "He was not clear enough to make a decision consciously as such"
"Is that true, Night?" Jim asks.
Kieran didn't say anything and just nods.
"Well, in that case, I'll let it slide for now, but do that again subconsciously or not and you're going straight to the principal's office!" Jim scolds.
Jim walks off back to his table and eats his breakfast. Kieran fixes his shirt and sees Annika with a smirk on her face. Kieran just walks off and heads outside.
"Well, your most certainly welcome" Annika says sarcastically while rolling her eyes.
Jeremy is on the supercomputer typing on the keyboard, Aelita is watching over him.
"No, no matter how you look it, I can't find a thing out there" Jeremy answers.
"Don't give up yet Jeremy there's got to be something out there" Aelita says.
"As much as I don't it to be so, I kinda hope so" Jeremy says still typing in the keys on the supercomputer.
Back at Kadic William is in his room laying on his bed with heavy metal music playing. Flashbacks of being Xana's pawn starts flooding back in William's head, he shakes his head and continues looking up from the ceiling with his face feeling flushed.
Yumi and Ulrich are in the gymnasium practicing Panchak Silat, Ulrich tries to get a few hits on Yumi, Yumi blocks and dodges most of them and retaliates back with a hit to the stomach and flipping Ulrich down to the ground with her on top of him.
"Point, Yumi" Yumi says jokingly.
"Haha, okay, okay, you got me" Ulrich laughs.
"Huh, would you look at that the two lovebirds are enjoying their time wrestling each other on the carpet," Odd says on the bleachers jokingly.
Ulrich and Yumi's face started getting hot as they get off each other. Ulrich shoots Odd and glare and Odd starts laughing.
"Good work out there, Ulrich, Yumi says
"Y-yeah, likewise" Ulrich says still blushing.
"Hello" Annika says outside the gym door. "Gym room Available, No?"
"Uh, yes it is" Yumi says.
"Well hello, nurse" Odd says coming up to her. "And where have you been all my life?"
Odd attempts to touch Annika by the shoulder, she side chopped Odd in the neck which causes him to lose balance and be knocked down to the ground.
"Ow!" Odd says.
"You two martial artists, yes?" Annika asks. "The form you study, Panchak Silat?"
"Yeah, you here for lessons?" Ulrich asks.
"No" Annika answers
She takes off her Jacket and her shoes and steps onto the mat.
"But Is there time for a little sparing match?" Annika asks.
Yumi and Ulrich look at each other and look back at Annika.
"I guess I'll go" Yumi says.
Annika and Yumi both bow and begin they're sparring match, Yumi goes in for a strike Annika blocks and retaliates with a below strike to the chest, Yumi blocks and counters with a sidekick, Annika was knocked back a few inches, Yumi charges at her, Annika side steps out of the way and forced her onto the ground using Yumi's momentum, Yumi gets up from the ground and does a leg sweep, Annika backs up, Yumi goes for a flying knee, Annika blocks the attack Yumi does a roundhouse kick to Annika and tries to punch her.
Annika grabs Yumi's arm, side steps out of the way, Uppercuts her and flips her on the ground and does a couple of punches to the face.
Annika stood up and Yumi was holding her face.
"Hey! Hey! Whoa, this a sparring match not a real fight" Ulrich interjects.
"What matters is that you strike and get the opponent on the ground first is it not?" Annika asks coldly
"Damn" Odd replies. "I felt that all they way to Siberia"
Annika gets on her coat and starts to leave. Ulrich looks at her with a glare and goes help Yumi up.
"You okay?" Ulrich asks.
Yumi was groaning in pain.
"Yeah, I'll be okay" Yumi answers and she sits down.
"You gotta hand it to her, she is a real Cold Ice queen" Odd says.
Ulrich slaps Odd at the back of his head.
"Ow!"
"Thank you" Yumi says.
Jeremy is still typing in some keys on the supercomputer. Small noises can be heard through the supercomputer. Jeremey looks back at the screen and the Digital Sea sonar pis picking up a small signal coming out of the Worldwide scan. Jeremy starts chuckling.
"I don't believe it" He says in a surprised tone.
"A signal?!" Aelita says. "We got a signal in the digital sea!"
"Let's get the others here fast!" Jeremy says as he starts contacting Odd's mobile.
"Y'ello" Odd answers.
"Head to the factory! We got something" Jeremy says.
"Ok, we're on our way, I'll get William and Kieran in touch" Odd says and hangs up the calls.
"Sounds like Einstein's, got something" Ulrich says.
"Great, I'll get in contact with William, one of you guys get Kieran" Yumi says as she pulls out her phone.
"I'll get him!" Odd says running off.
Kieran is sitting down at a bench writing down stuff in his notebook with heavy metal music pumping through his headphones. A Hand came through and snatches his notebook. Kieran quickly turns around and sees Odd holding his notebook.
"Oooh, such a sensitive soul you" Odd says jokingly.
Kieran grabs him by the collar of his shirt and lifts him up.
"Give me one good reason I shouldn't knock out any more of your teeth like I did this morning?" Kieran says.
"Because Jeremy wants us in the factory and I'm too pretty to get punched in the face?" Odd says nervously.
Kieran let's Odd go, he snatches his notebook back from him and smacks him in the face with it hard.
"Ow! What's with everyone hitting me today?!" Odd says holding his face.
"Be glad it wasn't a fist" Kieran says walking off.
"Asshole!" Odd says as he walks with him.
Everyone makes it to the factory and are in the laboratory room where Jeremy and Aelita are at.
"You found something in the digital sea?" William asks.
"Think it's a Replika?" Odd asks.
"Maybe, the signal is weak, but I got its coordinates down" Jeremy says.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's get going" Odd says.
"Wait a minute, Odd, shouldn't we teach Kieran how to use the nav-skids before going?" Yumi points out.
"Good idea, same goes for William too" Ulrich says.
"Wait, Nav-Skids?" Kieran asks
"Little Navigation Skids we use to fight off Aquatic little beasties in the Digital sea, those things are a real handful" Odd answers.
Everyone explains to Kieran and William how the Skid and Nav Skids work and how to operate their systems. Kieran looks like he is about to fall asleep and William is just looking bored.
"And thats how you fight with the Nav-Skids, any questions?" Odd asks.
"Yeah, can we go already?" Kieran asks sarcastically.
"Not exactly patient aren't you?" Yumi says jokingly.
"I guess it's time we get the exploration started" Aelita says.
"Ok, but be careful, it could be trap" Jeremy says.
"When have things in Lyoko never become a trap?" William asks jokingly.
Kieran is in the elevator, the others follow suit, they go down to the scanner room, Yumi, Aelita, and Odd go into the scanner pods first, Yumi Aelita and Odd are Virtualized into Sector 5.
"We made it Jeremy," Aelita says.
"Okay, the others are on their way" Jeremy says.
Ulrich, William, and Kieran were virtualized in front of the ladies, Kieran looked around sector 5.
"Whoa" Kieran says in astonishment.
"What are you guys waiting for, head to the Skid" Jeremy says.
"Hold your horses, Einstein, we're on our way" Ulrich says.
Everybody starts heading off further into sector 5.
"Wait for me!" Kieran says running alongside them.
The group makes it towards the elevator, after riding it, they made it to the access way, towards the garage and the Skid is in front of the group in the parking deck.
"Damn..." William and Kieran both say.
"I forgot how beautiful it is" Yumi says.
"Yeah" Ulrich says.
Everyone heads to the platform of the Skid and they have been transported inside, with Odd, Yumi, Ulrich, William, and Kieran in the Nav-Skids, and Aelita in the Main Skid.
"Cockpit to Nav-Skids, can you hear me?" Aelita says.
"Loud and Clear, Princess!" Odd says excitedly.
"Ready to go!" William says.
"A bit to hasty there aren't you pretty boy?" Ulrich laughs.
"This is just so weird," Kieran says.
"Everyone ready?" Jeremy asks.
"Standing by Jeremy" Aelita answers.
"Okay, releasing support!" Jeremy says as he hits the computer keys.
The Skid docks start releasing, once done the Skid starts flying upwards. The tunnel opens up the desert Sector, once they reach the digital sea the Skid comes diving down.
"Whoaaa!" Kieran cries out as the skid dives down to the digital sea.
"A little jumpy there aren't you Kieran?" Yumi laughs.
"Not funny Yumi..." Kieran responds shakingly.
The Skid went out of Lyoko and into the network, once out they were swimming through the network in the Skid.
"Whoa..." William says. "This is amazing, this is what the network looks like?"
"This...This is actually pretty cool" Kieran says astonished.
"As much as I'm glad you two are enjoying the sightseeing, we still got a mission to do" Jeremy says.
"Uh, yeah we never around to that, what exactly are we supposed to do once we find this 'strange signal' in the network?" William asked.
"Whatever it is, we go in and we do a little recon on the inside" Jeremy answers. "We go in and out with luck we don't run to any company while doing so"
"Aww, such a shame, I was hoping for a little action myself" Odd says.
"Me too" William agrees.
Kieran rolled his eyes, he looked out at the Digital sea being mesmerized by the view.
'It's...Beautiful' Kieran thought.
Aelita looks at her interface and she sees something on her monitor screen.
"Aelita, you're getting close to the signal, can you see anything?" Jeremy asks.
Once they get closer they see a giant sphere, similar to Lyoko.
"Jeremy, I see it, but...I think I see a Replika?"
"Huh?! Are you sure?!" Jeremy asked.
"Well it certainly looks like one and I don't think we're gonna know anymore just by sitting around here in this ship" Ulrich points out.
"Fair enough, risky as it sounds I think we should enter in" Yumi suggests.
Aelita turns the skid from a horizontal shape to vertical, as it approaches the Sphere, once they reach towards it, the Skid suddenly stops like it has hit something.
"Huh?" Aelita says
"Hey why aren't we heading in?" Odd asks.
"Somethings restricting us from getting in, Jeremy?" Yumi says
"Already on it" Jeremy says as he is punching in computer keys.
A window screen pops up and shows the Sphere with some sort of shield around it.
"You're fucking with me..." Jeremy mumbles. "Guys there's a force field surrounding the dome"
"I'm sorry what?" Kieran asks.
"You heard right, whatever this place is it's protected by a strong firewall like force field, I'm gonna see if I can bypass it to let you guys in" Jeremy says as he starts typing in keys
In the digital sea network, the atmosphere turns from blue to red.
"Well let's hope you can work on that quickly, because we're about to have some company!" Odd points out.
"Great, just what we needed, Aelita! release the Nav-Skids!" Jeremy ordered.
"Already on it!" Aelita says.
The Nav-Skids has been released and everyone starts flying off in different directions. Kieran's Nav-Skid was stumbling a little bit.
"You doing okay there Kieran?" Yumi asks next to him.
"Yeah, I'm just not used to this thing yet" Kieran admits.
Lasers went past between Kieran and Yumi.
"Whoa!" Kieran exclaims.
Three Kongres are behind Kieran and Yumi swimming towards them and shooting lasers at them.
"Well you better get the hang of the Nav-Skid now" William says in the intercom.
"Be careful, Kieran" Yumi says as she flies away with one Kongre following her.
"...Okay like they taught me" Kieran mumbles to himself. "Here we go!"
He flies off to other areas of the Network trying to get some covering fire, Ulrich is caught up with two Kongres on his tail.
"Been a while, fishface, did you miss me?" Ulrich sarcastically asks.
He flies up in the air and the Kongre don't see him, they look around their areas til Ulrich sneaks behind them, he gets his torpedo locked on to them.
"Because I sure don't!" Ulrich says as he fires his torpedoes at them, the two Kongre have been destroyed. "Bullseye!"
William is flying around with some three sharks on his tail.
"Awesome! My first Nav-Skid fight!" William says excitedly.
"Don't get cocky William! While I upgraded the Nav-Skids to take up to four hits, don't let it get to your head while you're doing this!" Jeremy says.
"Okay! Time to get my head in the game" William says confidently
William stops and starts charging at the sharks, he fires his torpedoes at two out of the three sharks, William is flying away from the shark after that.
"Yeah! Two down!" William exclaims.
From in front of William a torpedo was fired.
"Whoa!" William dodges out of the way.
The Torpedo hits the last shark chasing William.
"And I thought Odd was the reckless one" Kieran says.
"Are you crazy?! You could've hit me!" William cries.
"Yeah, but I didn't, so count yourself lucky" Kieran replies as he flies away from William.
"Asshole!" William cries out.
Odd is flying underneath the Sharks and the Kongres, Yumi is distracting the Sharks and Kongres by trying to shoot at her.
"That's right, come and get me you creepy water creatures" Yumi says.
Odd lines up his shot at the Kongres
"Torpedos away!" Odd say as he fires his torpedoes at them.
Once they were destroyed Yumi shoots down the shark with her Torpedos and it gets destroyed like with the Kongres.
"Good work Yumi, I knew that plan would work!" Odd says.
"Next time, Odd, YOU be the diversion!" Yumi says.
The color of the network changed from Red to Blue.
"Nice work guys, now head back to the Skid" Jeremy says.
"Recovery!" Aelita says.
All the Skids flew back to the skid and magnetized itself back on to the ship, Kieran back last and the Nav Skid attached itself to the Skid.
"Guys get out there and return to Lyoko, there's not much we can do for right now!" Jeremy ordered.
"What about the force field couldn't you do anything?" Odd asks.
"No, that damn field is tough to crack even by supercomputer standards, for now retreat back to sector 5 and I'll materialize you all back!"
Aelita starts flying the ship back from the unknown Sphere to Lyoko.
"Okay, as far as life dangerous adventures goes, that was fun" Kieran says.
Back to the real world everyone is back at the computer lab.
"Whatever that is in there it's highly protected, I've tried everything I could to crack the field but there was nothing I could do" Jeremy says.
"What's so important in that sphere that it's got to be restricted to access?" William asks.
"Good fucking question" Kieran replies.
"As much as I want to get to the bottom of that, getting rid of that force field is our first priority right now, I got the things coordinates down on the supercomputer, once I break through that field we're going in" Jeremy says.
"Great, in the meantime I'm starving, we got spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tonight!" Odd says heading to the elevator along with the rest of the gang.
Kieran rolls his eyes as he heads back to the elevator, Jeremy stays over at the supercomputer and starts getting to work.
"Hey, Belpois, you coming?" Kieran asks
"Go on without me I'll be getting some work down here" Jeremy answers.
Aelita comes up and drags Jeremy out of the chair.
"Hey!" Jeremy says.
"Oh no, not this time Jeremy" Aelita says locking arms with him to the elevator.
"Aelita..." Jeremy protested.
"Come on" Aelita says as she hits the elevator button.
At the cafeteria, everyone is sitting at lunch together at their usual table.
Kieran got his food from the lunch line, he looked behind and saw Annika in line with a smirk on her face as she made eye contact with him, he shook his head and walked away from the lunch line. Kieran joins up to their table and sits down with them, with everyone at the group looking at Kieran.
"...What?" Kieran asks.
"Nothing, just didn't expect you to sit with us" Odd responds.
"If you like I can just go back to sitting over there" he says pointing at the empty seat he always sits at.
"No! No you don't have to, you're always welcome to sit with us" Aelita says.
"Yeah" Yumi replies.
"Thanks" He says in a soft tone as he starts to eat.
"Just don't try to shoot me while I'm in the Nav-Skid again" William replies.
"Thanks..." Kieran says in his usual Deadpan tone.
